We have been in the UK for about a week and this is hands down the best place we have stayed so far. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, well equipped and very nice. I don’t usually do surveys or rate places but this place deserves to time and effort. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Only negative was bed mattress was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs when you laid down on it.

It's was a nice place to stay, friendly staff and good food.

Nice clean modern room. Had a fridge and water provided as well as usual tea/coffee making facilities. Nice shower powerful enough to get you wet where it matters. Only down side is 2 single beds pushed together to make a kingsize which is ok till you roll over onto the join. Meals in the Pub/Bar were good to but didn't try breakfast as started early at work.

Staff were amazing and the venue was very quiet. The breakfast was amongst the best I’ve had in hotels. This is where the independent hotels beat the chains. There was a little bit of wear and tear in the bathroom but that’s the only negative.
2.5
Lovely comfortable overnight stay. Helpful staff and accommodated our early check in request.

Brilliant room, far better then expected

The room was spacious, clean and with high standard. Nice and friendly staff. The pub/restaurant at the hotel was good as well.

We chose Scone Arms hotel as we were visiting family in the village and Perth, after a mixup with the booking on arrival, the manager and staff were all so helpfull and accomodating, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainty be back, loved our wee break.

My friend and I had a great stay. Room was clean, basic and had the advantage of a small fridge. The manageress was excellent. She was very friendly and approachable and she couldn’t have helped us any more. She told us of a great walk into Perth which was a lovely walk and has a small cafe on the way which is a lovely setting and all cakes amazing. She knew we were out in the town one night so she offers bacon rolls to ur room. We were delighted. She is a great asset to the scone arms. The food was amazing. The balmoral burger was the best I have had as I am quite fussy when it comes to burgers. Great portions and I see it must be a favourite with the locals. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous welcome by local people. Scone Arms service was excellent, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We asked for more coffee for the room and were given a bucket load then shown where it was and to help ourself to any more if we wanted.
We ate in the bar in the evening, the food was really tasty and very good portion sizes at reasonable prices too.
Breakfast wasn’t included but we were told at reception we could just say what we wanted in the morning. We had endless filter coffee and fruit juice and I had a lovely bacon roll (with a complimentary potato scone) and we were charged a ridiculously low amount for it all. We tried to give more but they wouldn’t accept it.
The one thing that caused an ‘oh no!’ Was that they had just sold the last chicken Balmoral so I wasn’t able to order it. Am I disappointed? Absolutely not. I now have the perfect reason to go back and stay again! AND the manager told me to ring ahead and they would make sure they kept a chicken Balmoral aside for me.
Staying here made our weekend break away even more special. A massive thank you to all the staff.

A quick stop off in Perthshire. A cute wee independent hotel, a good sports bar and decent food.
Easy check in and out, very convenient all around

Room was spotless and very welcoming.

I liked the quiet, and peacefulmess and was able to get work done. The only thing i didnt like was there are not clear instructions about getting to reception/checking in.
I did not enjoy going in the bar to ask to be checked in, especially carrying my baggage.

Amazing, the best place we stayed in our two weeks in the UK!

My room was very clean and neat, shower room was very clean. I loved being able to keep the window open all night - something I can't do in Premier Inn! Comfortable bed. The breakfast experience was slightly random with only 1 member of staff on duty. If i needed anything, it was a considerable time till she returned to the room. Not her fault, she was obviously busy behind the scenes. Otherwise, she was friendly, hrlpful, polite as were other staff members I met. One downside of having an open window overlooking the courtyard area - there was a canopied smoking area outside the bar so all the chat and smoke made its way into my room.

Simple and clean lodging in a good location, with a nice restaurant/pub downstairs and a surprisingly quiet room upstairs.

Very nice hotel.

Room was lovely, very clean, comfy beds and great shower. Lovely touch to have bottles of water, nice biscuits and toiletries. Review would have been 5 stars if based on rooms.
All good so far until we went down for dinner. Haggis fritters were 2 slice of haggis steeped in greasy batter, the peppercorn sauce was a watery gravy (£7 each). Next I had a burger, bun was burnt as was burger and couldn’t cut the burger it was so dehydrated, nothing on the plate looked homemade. Staff were very apologetic and said there was a prob with the chef and they had to bring someone from somewhere else!!? As I hadnt reordered a main, I decided to have the cheesecake. I had seen photos on the site and it looked lovely, unfortunately it was a small slither of defrosted cheesecake (£7!).
Breakfast didn’t improve, you book a time when you check in and pay the £19.95. In the morning there was no staff in the restaurant, you made your own tea / coffee from sachets and water from a large flask. The water was cold and e eventually I got the chef when he was delivering a cooked breakfast and he topped it up with a kettle! You helped yourself to cereal from large packets and a four pint carton of milk. There was no fruit or pastries as advertised. We had breakfast at 9. The tables of guests who had breakfast before us were still uncleared. There was a loaf next to the toaster to make your own toast! The only person we seen was the chef when he delivered cooked breakfast. Big let down.

Lovely little village hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. My twin room was spotlessly clean with a well stocked tea tray with range of teas/coffee/biscuits etc. and premium bottled waters. Large shower room and ample towels, toiletries and bath robes. Only complaint is kitchen closes early at 6.45pm and no other options to eat out close by and rooms to front can be noisy being on a main road. Overall, would stay again, ideal for racecourse and Palace.

My room was lovely -no outlook. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Breakfast was self service but very little choice. Just white bread no pastries /cold meats/cheese. No choice of milks or yogurts. Only had 1 breakfast and 1 evening meal. Sraff were very polite and attentive.

Hotel set up the room incorrectly for 1 person. Only 1 bath sheet provided.
Booked a meal 3weeks in advance only to find on the day there was no steak, chicken, pizza or mushrooms.
Booked breakfast only to find no breakfast tea available, sachets of Nescafé coffee no filter, no bread for toast, no pastries, had to hunt for butter as no staff service. 2 items missing from the poor quality breakfast.
Our experience means we will not go back.

The Scone Arms cannot be faulted on cleanliness and the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The whole establishment is very nicely decorated.
Sadly, a few points to note about our stay; no working heating in our room (we were provided with an oil heater which did a brilliant job!), no mirror in the bathroom, no TV signal in the morning and, more importantly, no hot water in the morning! Dinner was tasty and the bar is well stocked. Breakfast; the tattie scones were like cardboard and there were no pastries or fruit (both on the menu).
We really enjoyed the band which were playing on the night of our stay.
We did really enjoy our stay and would definitely go back, but would need to be assured the negative feedback has been put to good use.

A really comfortable room, well-equipped and clean as a whistle. We asked for a late breakfast next day, and Iain, the superb chef, made us a terrific Scottish hot breakfast to order at 10:30. Would highly recommend this hotel in the really nice town of Scone.
