The only thing I came across, as an older guy with stability issues already, there needs to be a mat in the bottom of the tub/shower. It is extremely slick. Could have been a bad thing when I went to step in/out. Access to the stairs could be better. Stairs are not a good thing for me but do-able. No mention in the description that it was 2nd floor, at the opposite end of the stairs. Price was fair, but a better description of what you have to do to get to the room would be nice...

This was a great place to stay right on the edge of town. It’s pet friendly so we could take our puppy with us. The owner was on the grounds and was very friendly and accommodating. Our room had 2 queen beds and they were comfortable. The room was a good size. We would stay here again.

We ended up up finding a completely different place to stay. This olace was not clean. There were spider webs over the entrance door. The room smelled horrible. Massive air fresheners were being used to cover up the stench. So much so that you could not breathe because of the overpowering flowery over dog poop smell. The carpet was totally worn and the floor into the bathroom was sagging when you stepped into the room. This was an upstairs unit which is fine. However worn out tread and carpet make it extremely unsafe for people going up and down with luggage. I was horrified at the condition and shocked. The host seemed to be very nice. The unit also had no AC which would have been fine there was a fan I saw after I asked about the AC. But just no way on the lack of cleanliness. We had to search frantically to find another location.

I put in the correct date and it automatically changed it to an available date. Thinking that I had the correct date, we tried to stay there the correct night. I tried to call the number on the website, but it did not work. We tried knocking on the office door and no one was there. Finally the day of the night that I had accidentally booked, I talked to the manager. He said that there was no way he could refund my money, but he would give me a free night's stay at a later date.

This property is at the end of town, and we enjoyed the walk to town. If you have any type of handicap, be sure and ask for the bottom floor. The owners are available and prompt to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay!

Mountainview was a wonderful place to stay. We loved the fact that they are dog friendly as we were traveling with our pup. The room was spacious and had a full size fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and even a Keurig. All the kitchen utensils you need were provided too. The bed was very comfortable. The lodge is located on the far end of town which made it nice and quiet but still close enough to town if you want to walk it. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Room had no AC. Mornings were pleasantly cool, but afternoons and early evening were warm. Hosts provided 2 fans for our use which made things manageable. A beautiful aspen tree outside our window. I neglected to notice this facility was pet-friendly, so I had some allergy issues. My fault for not being attentive.

Exceeded my expectations for a small town lodge. Good room, the area is beautiful. Staff is top notch, friendly, checking in and out as easy as can be with no need to stand in line or wait on staff.

Old, fairly clean, no office so no one to ask questions. Also, they charge a $35 fee for pets we were not aware of beforehand, and were asked by a note in a basket to leave the cash in an envelope in the room.

My family and I were welcomed by a warm and friendly hostess. Miss Catherine was available for every need. The room was very clean beds were really comfortable and we truly enjoyed being there. We will definitely book again with Mountain View. Thank You from the Winter Family

This was a major disappointment to us, we’re on a 7 week road trip and this is the worst stay we have had not just on this trip but for years and we travel extensively! Booked because of the Mountain View there was no view, the whole place is dilapidated and needs attention. There is no office but a guy lives downstairs and seems to be a manager. The lodge sign is weathered and the paint peeling so the ‘view’ word is missing. The room we were given was on the first floor frontage and the only view from the shared balcony was of the inside of the roof. We complained and asked for another room with a view but were told they were booked out. There was a small window behind the bed headboard with a Mountain View if you want to sit on the well worn sofa on the far wall. Very cramped and poky room and bathroom was difficult to get in and close the door, no sink plug and no hair dryer (you could request one we were told later) but even a cheap motel provides one as standard). Internet almost non existent and tv not working, told the ‘Manager’ but nothing done. It was begrudgingly offered to move us but on our last day on our way out and as we wouldn’t be back until late it really wasn’t worth moving everything just for one night so an empty gesture. We were offered compensation after Hotels.com intervened which we accepted.

It was ok, the room was nice for an overnight stay. Need to let folks know there's no ac, there is a fan. Make it more clear about ALL of the "rules". I have never stayed at a facility that was no smoking on the property at all, having to walk to the street or the fence was across from the facility is a bit much. When we arrived, the room had an air-freshner that was so storng i had to take it outside and open the windows, it gave me a headache. We did enjoy the views.

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at this hotel! The owners explain everything & give very good instructions! The room was very clean, the beds are very comfy & they give you a range in fluffiness of the pillows! The kitchen has amenities for everything plus a few extras from the owners! I will stay here again😊

Rustic and basic sufficient for short term, no staff only a friend of owner staying there who was friendly and informative. We were only guests(4) two couples and had. 2nd floor units with stairs to climb (seniors). Town scenic but mostly deserted as half of everything closed - between seasons I guess

There was no hot water when I arrived. After asking for it, it reached room temperature by the time I went to bed. By the next morning it worked. No top sheet on the bed. Room is a bit tawdry.
