Wonderful hosts who responded to our messages immediately. Amazing space with interesting history. Incredibly comfortable bed. Great location. Super shower. Tiny fridge, coffee machine and toasty maker were handy. Welcome pack was much appreciated.
The tiny tap at the kitchenette sink rotated and made it hard to use.
Toilet cistern constantly flowed in to the toilet bowl.

the location is ideal right in the heart of Frome - walking distance everywhere- be ready for a short walk from the car park or drop your bags off before parking. The conversion of the tiny space is very clever, nicely done and comfortable.
it is a lovely historic building that has been converted to enhance the character.
the downside for me was that, other than the front door, which is glass and allows a view directly on to the bed from street level, there is no natural light. for privacy we kept the curtain closed most of the time, which meant we were in artificial lighting the whole time.
The kitchen equipment and crockery is all a bit random in the tiny kitchen area…. no toaster but there is a toasted sandwich maker…. we hoped to make our own breakfast but had not seen from the details that this was not really feasible.

Great location. Lovely decor and a comfortable bed. Great shower. A lovely touch- drinks in the fridge.
Better quality pillows would have elevated this to a 10.

Everything about the Undercroft was fantastic. We were in the centre of Frome and were able to access everything
Nothing. It was perfect

Excellent location at edge of town centre. Parking close by. Good bathroom.
Lack of natural ventilation. Smelt musty on arrival and litter in courtyard.

Excellent location for Frome
Lovely en-suite, great shower.
Welcome pack much appreciated
Lots of PowerPoints and usb outlets
Noisy a/c system
Strange odour present that we couldn’t identify?
Soft bed and pillows but that is personal preference

Location, facilities, contact with owners suggesting parking places - overall everything!
Unable to think of anything

Lovely modern (in a high-end kind way) but cottagey place (in a cosy with old stone kind of way). Loved that we felt tucked away and had privacy whilst sat out the front, yet were in the centre of Frome within 30 seconds.

Very clean, comfortable bed, extremely unique experience, very kind hosts. Excellent weekend stay.

Location
Bed was comfy
Shower was great
Glass door was the only natural light in the room, and the curtain didn't fully cover the door area, which meant the bed could still be seen from outside.
Tap in the kitchen area was loose, which meant the water didn't always land in the sink!
Not enough towels - didn't enjoy using the hand towel to dry my hair as it was the only small towel available.

- Hosts were easy to get in touch, gave prior heads up on lockbox details, helped with local recommendations - great all round
- studio is centrally located as you're really in the middle of it all and easy to get to car parks, restaurants etc
- super comfy bed and soft towels provided
- shower pressure was great, space is really good considering the overall studio space
- TV includes netflix and BBC iPlayer etc
- all round clean
- there is no natural light coming into the studio as the only light source is the front door which is all glass but due to being in such a central location also means if you have the curtain open then people can see in. Would highly recommend getting blinds put in as there are no windows
- kitchenette is not really as per description, kettle is tiny and covered in limescale so didn't want to use that (a previous reviewer had also flagged this), the fridge is so tiny you can't store more than two small bottles of water and we had 3/4 coffee pods that were decaf.
- hosts were lovely when we flagged that we could hear noise from upstairs though this can't be helped as the ceiling is low and on the 2nd night they weren't noticeably loud it's just we can hear music/TV. Some people wouldn't mind it so it's more of an FYI for future bookings

Location
The kerb appeal with the debris and bins!

Fabulous location in beautiful historic property. Great communication from owners - very helpful clear instructions for access and parking. Thoughtful treats were a lovely touch Bed was super comfortable and bathroom smelt gorgeous!
Fridge was smaller than anticipated - would like something that could fit a bottle of wine.
Kettle needed de-scaling - didn’t use for that reason so missed my morning tea!

The property was exactly what I expected. We loved the room. Everything is clean and you even have a mini fridge. That was super helpful to store our doggie's food. I can confirm that the heating works properly, it was cosy and we did not feel cold during our stay. Freddy and Liz, the owners, offered their assistance in case we needed anything. It is located in a very nice area in a lovely town. Everyone was very kind. I would come back. PS: book restaurants in advance during the weekend. We tried the Eight Stone Street (great!) and the White Hart Inn for a Sunday Roast (top notch!). If you can, also order some pizza in Caprinos Pizza, you won't regret it!
If you want to be very picky, maybe another corner shelf in the bathroom would help but nothing you can't sort out.

Room temperature wasn't warm. Advised on the welcome notes to keep the temperature at 19 degrees but it was a very cold weekend. As it's a stone-built room I guess it is difficult to keep warm on really cold spells. Also, the path really should have been cleared of frozen ice before we arrived. We had to ask for that service as the steps and slope is quite precarious in icy conditions.

Location - within the historic centre of Frome, close to shops, restaurants, banks, market. Despite this, we had no trouble from noise. (Might be different in the summer with people staying out later, drinking outside, etc.)
Architecture - fascinating old building, sympathetic conversion of an ancient semi-basement/storage area.
Facilities - very high standard.
Lack of storage for our clothes. Only 3 hangers in the wardrobe, inadequate drawers. We were there for 3 nights, so didn’t want to be living out of our suitcases.
Poor lighting/lack of mirror when I wanted to dry and style my hair. The mirror in the bathroom is large and well lit, but you can’t plug a hairdryer or tongs in there, plus there is no space to put your hair brushes, mousse, etc, so you have to use the bedroom. Unfortunately there is no mirror in the bedroom, and the lighting is romantic rather than functional. Some solution is needed.
Lack of shaver plug in the bathroom.

Tasteful accommodation in the heart of the town
all good!

The property is set in the most perfect location and finished to a high standard, but still in keeping with the history of the property with the original exposed beams and stone walls.

Location
No cooking facilities at all and very very small fridge, problem with parking with neighbouring property not giving permission.???

The location is very good, being close to to the centre but in a quiet corner.
The apartment has been very tastefully adapted from an historic semi-basement (That’s my my translation of the old word “undercroft”!) and has everything you need for a couple of nights’ stay. All bathroom and kitchen fittings are high quality.
The ventilation system worked well, and I was surprised that despite being virtually underground, the room was in no way damp or fusty.
The lighting was very pretty.
The futuristic bathroom mirror is touch-controlled and has a de-misting setting!
I found it difficult to do my hair or make-up. There is an excellent mirror in the bathroom, but no power plugs nearby - not even a shaver socket. To plug in the hair-dryer, I had to go back into the bedroom area, but then there was no mirror, nor anywhere I could hang up my own make-up mirror. It was also quite dark. To put on my make-up, I ended up standing halfway into the shower, where the light was best, holding my make-up mirror in one hand and using the other hand to apply make-up. Perhaps an extending shaving mirror could be located on the wall next to the shower?
It didn’t bother us, but some people might find the accommodation a bit claustrophobic, especially if you are the kind of person who likes to have a window that opens. That isn’t a criticism, just a word of warning to those people for whom it might be a problem.
