The kitchen pots and pans were old, rusty and unusable. Everything in the kitchen was dirty. The dishwasher was rusty with a smell of rotten eggs. The house could use some TLC.

We recently spent a week at the Salty Mermaid and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and thoughtful details throughout the property. We loved having direct access to the beach. The house was spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire family. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living areas were cozy and inviting. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio area where we spent many evenings watching the children play on the pool. The location was ideal—quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to shops and restaurants when we wanted to venture out. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. This house exceeded our expectations in every way. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway.

The location of this home was outstanding! The pool was used a lot and everyone enjoyed it. There were a number of outdoor lounge areas with plenty of comfortable seating. It was great to have a pet friendly home. Having owned a VRBO, I know what wear and tear occurs but when I mentioned a few things to the manager which were meant to be helpful, his response was a little spicy so we didn’t contact him again. The staff we did meet were very nice. The house was comfortable but does need some updates/attention.

Pictures online VERY misleading. They must have been taken many years ago. Very run down. Smelled moldy. It didn't even have toilet paper holders in any of the bathrooms. Pictures showed nice grass yard, nope, dirt. Under the house is all dirt. Outside area had so much bird poop from bird's nest we had to block off the area. Outside furniture was nasty, we tried to clean it but it didn't help. Very outdated house that looks waaaaay better online then in reality. Tried calling management company several times, also sent a message online, they didn't respond until the day before we were leaving. We had a clogged kitchen sink for a day and a half. Had to use a toilet plunger to unclog. The pool area is a joke and was dirty. I will NEVER rent anything from them again and will also have to serious think about ever using VRBO again. Totally horrible vacation experience.

The house had newer appliances and furniture. Beds were comfy. Plenty of space and a view of the ocean! I hope to return with our family next year. Needed a good pan to cook with (went out and bought one); back deck has loose boards that need securing. I did tell an employee from the management company about the boards.

Our stay was good over all. We had a issue with our pool and the management sent someone out the next day. Turns out there was a bag in the pump. The pool was small but cooled us off. The kitchens were fully stocked with pots pans and even a slow cooker. We did find a coackroach in the bathroom our very last night but I hear thats common in hot weather areas. Over all we would definitely stay here again. The onky thing I recommend is bring extra pillows if you like more then one.

Great house with multi families to stay in one big house. Fence in yard and the small pool was perfect. The ocean was still rough after a storm came through the area. We brought our kayaks and bikes. Go to 53rd Ave, go straight back, deadends into the park w/boat ramps. Get your copy of the tides coming and going. It was awesome to kayaks on House Creek. They have horseback riding on Hog Island. Walked to Cherry Grove Point everyday. Love this area. We brought our dog with us too. She did great. The house was great. Great set-up for big family. We only had one problem was the internet. Whoever cleaned, unplugged the router downstairs. Everything was unplugged downstairs. We'll diffently be back again.

Dead flies everywhere when we arrived. No hot water until I manually increased the water heater thermostat. Had no grill as advertised. (We had pre purchased and brought steaks and chops) Emailed the lock code at EXACTLY 4pm even though know one was there a full hour we waited outside.
