Enjoy the comforts of a private suite in an occupied home with separate entrance and side yard. House is located in South Anchorage with views of the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm. A 15-minute drive from the airport and immediate access to the Seward Highway to take you south to Girdwood or north to Denali, wherever your travel adventures take you. One bedroom with ¾ bath and a half kitchen with an induction countertop electric burner. Fresh Alaskan coffee in K-cup or beans to grind to suit your taste. Kitchen area has all the amenities if you'd like to make a home-cooked meal. This suite is also the perfect set-up if you're just needing an overnight stay. Very nice place to stay. We enjoyed it. Our host did an amazing job. There is a binder that contains wonderful information about the the unit and the area. I had never stayed at owner occupied rental so I was hesitant, however would gladly stay again. We were very comfortable. I noticed in one review that they reported hearing footsteps from the upper floor. With a second floor this does happen when have you stay in a hotel you hear footsteps as well. Did not bother us at all .all and was not interrutptice

We wanted a stay near to the airport since we arrived so late, and this place was perfect! It was very comfortable, and it was very spacious. They had great amenities, including snacks. The owner was a great communicator and even let me know I left an item behind. I highly recommend staying here.

What a lovely place to stay! It felt like walking into a home. Peaceful (both literally and figuratively). The living area has comfortable chairs. The bedroom has one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The shower has good pressure. There is central heating if required. I loved that the place was clean! So many accommodation places fall short on the cleanliness factor, but not here. It makes such a difference when the place you are staying is clean. There is no laundry, but there is a laundromat down the road. Best to have a vehicle, as the nearest public bus system is about a half hour walk away along the highway roadside. There are small touches here and there that show Alison really cares for her guests. It seemed like every possible little detail had been thought of. She had even picked some of her peonies and placed them in a vase on the dining table. I had the pleasure of meeting Alison in person briefly the morning of my departure. What a delightful human being she is. And her garden is just as lovely. The only downside is that I had only one night to enjoy the place. If I have the opportunity to return to Alaska one day, I will definitely look to stay here again. :)

Quiet and comfortable with good meal preparation facilities, including a kettle. Heather and I, like many Australians, like to "put the kettle on" to make tea or coffee. Had some good walks, including Potter Marsh Boardwalk. Great communication from Alison

Great property stocked with everything you need and things you didn't realize you needed until they were in front of you. Clean, 10 minute drive to downtown. Great host and communication. Highly recommend.

This is a beautifully appointed little suite! It was very comfortable and had everything I needed- cozy furniture, coffee, snacks including breakfast oatmeal, toiletries, and lovely towels and linens. The walk-in shower had good water pressure and everything was very clean and fresh. I’d stay here again every chance I could! Many thanks to the hostess 😊

Beautiful fully supplied lower level of home. Everything you could ask for and close to shopping in a nice area of anchorage. Room darkening blinds some with remote controls. Power recliner and power control bed for different head and foot positions. It was perfect in every way!!

Really cozy living room with a super well stocked kitchenette. We only ate out 3 times over a whole week and had all we needed in the kitchen. Bed is really comfy, bathroom is clean and large. Nothing more to ask for. Great location to easily hop on Seward hwy. would totally return

We needed a place to stay while visiting our new granddaughter. The property was perfect for our needs. It was very warm and cozy despite below zero temperatures. The host was great and very helpful. We would certainly recommend this property for other couples who need a place to stay.

This was a warm comfortable suite to come home to after helping out with our new grandbaby during the day. Our stay was during the month of December. The suite was decorated for Christmas! The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with snacks and coffee/tea supplies. Anchorage had record snowfall, and the owner was diligent about keeping the driveway clear and we never had problems with the snow. We will be staying here again!

Live in Wasilla and needed to be closer to the airport to catch a 3 AM flight. Booked here and took a Uber after friends dropped us off at VRBO. Comfortable loveseat. Just kick back watch movies. Everything we needed in the kitchen and more. Enjoyed our short stay.

This was a great place to stay for a few days. It was very easy to get in and out. The Guest Room was stocked with snacks and all the supplies needed to relax. The host was very responsive to all our questions. If we return to Anchorage we will stay again.
