OVERALL RATING: Exceptional. Exceeded expectations. The view from this house’s level 2 and level 3 is breathtaking night or day. The all stone interior + newly remodeled modern amenities and decor are a magic combo.
REVIEWER BACKGROUND: Fortunate to travel extensively. I have done travel advising for years. We are always looking for that “magic stay” and we found it certainly here.
LOCATION: “Perfect”. Sea facing. Rampart front. Between the Picasso Museum and the Archeological Museum on the rampart walk. Directly in front of the newly redone triangular garden “Jardin des Poetes”. 3 minute walk into town.
VIEW: 180 degree view of the sea and the ramparts. The view is exactly as in the pictures. Sunrise, day, sunset, night - it was breathtaking. Though no outdoor space or terrace, the huge windows and generally quiet progression of walkers, runners, families outside against the sea brought the outside “in”. Not sure how the view of the sea and ramparts from any Old Antibes rental gets any better.
OWNER: The French/America owner was best in class with timeliness and kindness. A great experience. She was a lovely person to work with.
NICE TOUCHES: A lovely gourmet welcome kit awaited us of wine, bubbly, milk, snacks, high quality olive oil, tapenade, etc. Nice quality dish ware. A champagne bucket. Gorgeous art or photos of the area set against those stunning stone walls. House was fully remodeled in the last 2 years.
