Property looks exactly as pictured in listing. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Would definitely book again. Holly is a fantastic host.

We were looking for comfy place to escape the city for a few days. We found that here. The cottage is nicely renovated and very comfortable. Lake views were great, kitchen spacious, and bedrooms were comfortable. We travelled with 3 children under 6, our two oldest shared the room with the 2 twin beds. The queen room at the back of the cottage offers just enough space for a pack and play if you need to nap an infant.
Travelling with 3 kids, We packed for the worst. Other than some cooking oil and salt and pepper, and coffee filters, nothing else is really offered to guests. This includes water, so plan to bring your own for drinking. Other little conveniences like shampoo/soap in the shower were absent. It may be just a one off but small touches like coffee/tea (grounds or pods) and those above would add to the care free stay we assume people are looking for.
The lake was relaxing, but swimming was off limits given the algae bloom. This is mentioned in the listing. That said there are a few local beaches not too far away (20 mins) they offered clean sand and water for us and the kids.
Holly, the host, was very helpful in providing suggestions and being attentive and quick to respond to any and all questions. We really appreciated that.
Overall this was a great stay as we aren’t that picky. The kids loved the wildlife and environment; again a nice change of pace from the city.

I stayed with 3 friends at this property for 3 nights. The property itself was visually appealing, inside was very clean, as can clearly be seen by the photos of the property.
The dock seen in the first image was not set up to nicely fit the 4 Adirondack chairs in the photo, the chairs that were on the dock also had many spiderwebs on them, which I didn't think would be our responsibility to take care of.
Needless to say, there were issues with our stay that potential clientele need to know about in advance. Not warning potential tenants that THERE IS NO DRINKING WATER ONSITE until 2 days before is a major concern. One of our friends was flying in from out west for this and this meant our hands were tied going into this weekend. The property manager was courteous and helpful in pointing us towards where we could get drinking water. This should be included in the listing so please let your potential clients know in advance. This for their safety and enjoyment after all.
The other major problem was one that they have said they are trying to fix, the main air conditioner was broken. They did have a portable air conditioner in there in its place, but with 4 adults and the fact that we're going to use the oven/stove, it still was quite hot. I'd recommend you to check with the property manager on the status of the air conditioning before committing to the booking.
Nice property overall. But the communication needs work.

Great little stay for our family. The water was nice and our stay was enjoyable. The host was easy to communicate with. The cottage had all the amenities needed for a good stay. The owners have done a nice job renovating and updating the inside. Overall, a really nice week.

We had a great stay. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the A/C was able to keep up with the heat wave that happened during the week. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. The beds (and linens) were comfortable. There is a water pressure issue on some of the taps, but the shower had enough pressure. Fantastic store/strawberry farm not far away where you can buy fresh produce, excellent frozen meat, and other local items. The lake is fairly shallow so the water was warm. Don't dive off the dock! There are some big rocks under the water. I wish the cottage had pool noodles. We ended up buying some but we had to go into Bracebridge to find a place that still had them for sale. It was nice just to float in the lake.

Our stay was nice and relaxing. The cottage itself is very cozy , clean and very comfortable.
A great location and view of the lake.
The exterior deck and dock require some work to make bring it to the same standard as the cottage itself. Overall a great stay.

We had a very nice time at the cottage. It was exactly as shown in the photos online. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep and the beds were very comfortable. There was an up to date big screen tv and internet access was good. We would rent this cottage again.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and found the cottage very clean, convenient, and comfortable. We have a 13 year old dog that struggles with stairs, so the layout of the cottage and the water access was ideal.

To begin Holly was amazing! I’ve never booked with vrbo and she made it so easy for me, I requested an early check in and she got back to me right away, fortunately on this day she was able to accommodate the early check in. The cottage is clean, newly renovated and has a great view of the lake. We enjoyed the dock and fire pit tremendously. This cottage has everything you need for a couple, family or small group of friends. I highly recommend Holly and any of her rentals.

3/5 for a few reasons.
1. The cottage thermostat is controlled via remote control and the place was way too warm, set to 86f (30c). Originally when entering the place it was fine, because outside was super cold. But the issue was that the remote control did not work! The batteries were dead! We had to go look for aa batteries just so we can sleep and not sweat throughout the entire night, and NO we are not leaving the doors or windows open because of potential bears. Same goes for the remote control for the TV.
2. The shower head was BUSTED, the pull tab did not spout any water from it downwards and we had to rely on bucks to "shower" ourselves. You would think they would test those little things ahead of time...
Otherwise, the place was clean, and the property is right beside the lake. It has been recently renovated, but you can tell the floors are un-even and patch panel being exposed isn't kind to the eyes.
The host was very thorough and communicated well, but it's the pebble in the shoe that ruins the entire place for me.

Unit was clean and tidy. The main issue was no hot water warm if you were lucky. Something with the plumbing, especially in the shower it was not right you could not have a hot shower. Another issue was no blinds on the windows. This is weird at night since you cannot see out, but everybody can see in.

Was a fantastic stay and great accommodations. Linens and bed was super comfortable and the view from the dock was perfect.

As advertised. Not huge. But, the 3 br layout accommodates up to two couples, in separate bedrooms, and a pair of individuals in the third bedroom. The open-concept living room / dining room overlooks the lake. And, the kitchen is small but well-equipped. Clean. Great bedding. AC worked well. Or, if you prefer, the ceiling fans and open windows allowed for excellent airflow. I’d probably change the lock on the front door… but, that’s only a minor thing. I’d rent it again!

We rent a different cottage every year and this one was by far a favourite. Everything was super clean, the views were stunning, easy sandy entrance to the lake, superb responsiveness and communication with the property manager, privacy from the beautiful trees between neighbours, comfortable bedding, strong internet access, upscale appliances, and central to several different places for convenience. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The cottage was cute and as pictured. We would have preferred more exterior photos as my spouse has mobility issues and the slope of the driveway was a concern. There are many trees so you are secluded in the area. We would suggest window coverings for the bedrooms as the 1 bathroom for changing delayed everyone else’s prep time. I say this as there was construction going on with property to our left and we had to be cognizant of their presence as the trees did not block their view. The serene dock and ducks that visited were a nice touch. All the amenities were available in the kitchen and I must say that Holly was awesome to deal with; provided answers to any of our questions. Thank you for allowing us the use of your lake house

This is a perfect cottage for two couples or a family. It is clean and newly renovated. The kitchen was well equipped with all the modern conveniences of home. The beds were comfortable and the linens (towels/sheets) were up to my high standards.
The property is also fantastic. The sandy beach made it easy for us to launch our canoe and paddle board and the dock was a great place to relax and get sun.
We also really appreciated how quickly our host replied to questions throughout the rental process. The host made sure there were no surprises and we appreciated how upfront they were about everything.
The only thing that would improve the property is being able to use the bedroom closets for storage or a few more wall hooks in each bedroom.
Overall, the property was exactly what we wanted and we would happily return.

Our family had a great vacation at this location. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and extremely clean. The picture shown are a true representation. The appliances are all new and it was great to have not only a washer/dryer but also a dishwasher.
Communication with our host Holly was easy, fast and reliable.
The beds were very comfortable. And, the wifi and Rogers tv (including netflix) was great.
The lake was perfectly warm and we enjoyed hours of swimming. The Muskoka chairs on the dock made a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery as well as the family of ducks that visited us daily.
All in all, we were very happy with our choice and would definitely consider renting this cottage again next year.
