1) beautiful view & good location
2) aggressive/numerous flies, bring your fly swatter or bug zapper
3) mattresses were universally suboptimal, many sore backs in our 4 couple crew
4) could use some updates, including screens on the windows/sliding doors, bathroom updates, etc.
BUT overall a nice location for a beach getaway with a view.

Unfortunately, we had a broken washing machine and not all the outlets worked. Oh, and a raccoon (the size of a large cat) lived under the house so small pet owners beware. Otherwise, it suited our family of 10 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs perfectly.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend watching the waves. Lots of room and large windows for viewing the beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We have 2 people who are extreamly immune compromised. One with heart failure and the other with severe asthma and immune deficiency. Any time either of them gets sick it means a hospital stay. So we asked in advance if they could take extra precautions to ensure the cleanliness of the house for them. They assured us the house would be extra clean and that they would work hard on getting the washer fixed since right before our stay it broke. When we arrived the house was absolutely filthy! I know its at the beach, so I expect some sand and minor things. But the amout of sand, muddy foot prints, hair, dead bugs, food residue on dishes! The walls were BLACK with dirt and almost every surface was sticky. Multiple holes and skuff marks on the walls. Holes and dead bugs in the sheets of the beds. The bathroom floor was sticky by the toilet from someone else's urine. Tried to wash hands in the bathroom and the whole towel rack fell to the floor. All floor vents were broken and if you stepped on them you would slide across the floor and fall, water damage and mold in the windows, beds were hard as a rock and to top it off we had a racoon that was going in and out of the heating vents from the outside..we called multiple times and talked to customer service about all the issues and was just told they would let someone know ..but no one showed up

PROS:
Great location, breath taking view from upper level. Spacious floor plan and fantastic ambient light from all the windows. Wonderful viewing deck (when it’s not raining😁) Well stocked kitchen. Adequate bedding and linen. Ideal pet friendly accommodation.
CONS:
Upper toilet failed to operate. Plumber left supplies behind. We had to operate the toilet the old fashioned way with a bucket of water until the repairman arrived the following day. Multiple blinds were damaged or had missing slats which did not block the early morning light. Overall cleanliness on the upper level was not great. We found lots of debris/sand under the beds, couch and rugs. All three trash cans were full making it difficult to remove our trash.
Our stay was dampened by heavy coastal rain which kept us indoors most of the time. The upper level definitely was the best spot to be to take in all the coastal views. I appreciate the timeliness of the management company to resolve our toilet issue as well as the nice gentleman who is quick and courteous.

The house needs a deep clean. It was superficially clean. The ceiling fans were filthy, ledges on mopboards, shower stalls, and the meeting between walls and.floors, and window rails were dirty/dusty.
Several lights did not work. The light over the dining room table would not stay on(loose bulb?) and upstairs porch light did not go on.
Dishwasher did not clean dishes and the hot water to the kitchen faucet would run cold quickly.
Nice location, yard, layout etc.

This house is a blast and it would have been even more enjoyable had the heat worked. The property management company did what they could by providing a couple of space heaters. They were timely with this and we understand things happen. This certainly wasn't enough to warm us up, for our baby and grandparents. We however made the best of it. Customer service felt lacking with this issue as it was February and there was no effort made to discount our rate for the discomfort and a major utility not functioing. Through some effort we were able to resolve the water heater not working and didn't have to reach out about that!

Overall the property was nice and in a great location with private access to the beach. The view from the house is amazing. The property was dog friendly which we appreciated and has a nice yard to the side of the house for the pups.
However, some improvements could be made on cleaning and management of this place. Most major touch surfaces such as kitchen counters, tables and bathrooms were clean when we checked in. However, you can see layers of dust from years of not cleaning on the ceiling fans in the rooms that have them. Which means we didn't use them when the room got warm.
Upstairs bathroom door isn't fully aligned so the door doesn't really latch and lock unless you push it really hard. All the TV remotes need new batteries, one of the remotes is missing it's battery cover entirely, which is a hazard for small children.
Lastly, when we checked-in at 4pm. The key wasn't in the lockbox. This was because the cleaning staff was not even finished. Luckily we were allowed to go inside while staff finished up. The staff member needed another hour to finish making the beds. After a long day of traveling with dogs and a toddler, we expected the property to be ready at check-in time so we could wind down, it's too bad that wasn't the case.
These aren't major issues that ruined our stay entirely, but should be improved for cleanliness and safety.

The location is great, however the quality of the home has not been maintained in the condition described/depicted in the photos. For example, the deck was not in usable condition, which is a key feature of a beach home. This should have been communicated before reserving the property, particularly when it was a peak rate. There was a note on a table that could have been easily missed that said to stay off the deck for safety reasons, which was a big risk. In addition, the general condition of the home was lacking. The mattresses sag in the middle and are uncomfortable, particularly in the master bedroom. The kitchen table is in terrible condition. The TV remote batteries are dying and you have to stand right next to the TV to get it to work. Simple things that should get checked at this price point. In addition to the high nightly fee, there was an additional 39% added for host fees (before VRBO service fees and taxes) which comes across as a hidden fee since it's not included as a nightly rate. Cleaning fees and small service fees are understandable but this far exceeded that amount. Overall, great location but the house needs more upkeep for the price.

We enjoyed our stay at the "Star of the Sea" - on Lincoln City. Beautiful views, especially from the top floor living room and balcony.
The house is a bit older and has some items that could use some love. Several rooms had blinds that were broken, so we couldn't block out the early morning sunlight. The garage was kind of messy, which isn't a huge deal, except for keeping the kids away from some of the items left in there.
We enjoyed this house with our friends, perfect size and location. Access to the beach was amazing and the stairway down was a nice adventure. Meredith Lodging were accommodating and quick to respond.
Thank you!

We had 9 ladies for a girls weekend of paddle boarding and hiking. This house was perfect for beautiful beach views. The stairs were a beautiful entrance to the beach, after a day full of hiking they were harder so walk up and down but not bad. We all said we would stay here again.

This property was perfect for our family of 5, 2 grandparents and dog. Lots of beds and room to spread out and not be on top of each other. The location and view cannot be beat. Beach access was amazing. We even walked back to the rental from Mo's after lunch.
I would definitely rent this house again. Communication was great from the rental company and check in and out was easy.
I have a couple suggestions to make the stay even better:
- The kitchen was very well stocked, but we could not find a kettle for the tea drinkers in our group.
-The upstairs bathroom door was difficult to shut while locked. You have to really push on it to keep shut.
- The front porch gets really slick when wet, I almost fell going out to the car.
- The tile is lovely in the kitchen/dining area, but the chairs needs pads on the bottoms to prevent the screeching when they are moved.
Thank you for an amazing spring break get away, we hope to be back again soon!

This house is truly oceanfront with a killer view! Be aware there are 70 stairs down to the water, which are not good for the elderly or very small children. But we had no issues with them. The kitchen is fine, except felt pads would be good for the dining room chair feet, as it scrapes and makes a terrible noise when you move them. Upstairs in the living room is where we hung out the most. The view from there is wonderful. The upstairs couches and dining room table need some updating, as they are looking a little rough. The beds were fine, although we found the temperature was quite inconsistent throughout the house. The only real issue was the deck that leads to the front door is incredibly slippery and we had 2 people in our group fall down. They are both fine, but that could be disastrous for an elderly person. We would recommend this home if you want private beach access to a lovely strip of beach with an inviting living room and a very nice backyard that’s mostly, but not quite, secure for dogs. We would stay again!

Clean! And the views were to die for. And the stairs to the beach was a plus. Would definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend this property. It was clean, had bedrooms on both floors so those who struggled with stairs could stay on the main floor. There were only two recommendations I would make to the owner. First would be to fix the lock on the front door, as it was very difficult to open. Second would be to add comfortable seating in the sitting area on the main level (a couple big comfy chairs or loveseats). Other than those two things, it was wonderful, with plent of kitchen utensils, very comfortable upstairs living room, fabulous views of the ocean from both levels. I would definitely rent this house again.

We had a wonderful time! The view is amazing! We had Thanksgiving dinner and I brought a couple extra baking pans but I was amazed at what they had available for cooking utensils.
It was great to walk to the beach and to have a mostly fenced yard when I took the dog out in the rain.
A few maintenance issues. Porch light was out but managed with the garage light. No fan in the bathroom.
Overall I wanted to bring my family and my dogs to the beach for a Thanksgiving gathering. I don’t think I would have found a better option and we had a fabulous time ♥️ We would definitely come back!
