About the property:
Perfectly located by one of the most sought after holiday landmarks, this beautiful lodge is perfect for a weekend gateaway or a family holiday.
Extensively refurbished and newly furnished, this property consists of the upper level of a two storey home, completely separate as an independent dwelling. One of the bedrooms has its’ own separate access and ensuite, which would be perfect for an extended family or elderly parents.
Please note that the back yard is not available for guests use.
The lodge is very comfortable and well equipped for a perfect holiday or a weekend away. But you won’t want to spend too much time indoors, with expansive Paul John Reserve, Sandon Point Beach and tidal rockpools right on your doorstep.
The scenic views from the lodge extend over the ocean to the east to the escarpment to the west. Just relax on the north facing balcony to soak up the breathtaking vistas, while you enjoy a BBQ and drinks with your friends and family.
If you are looking for accommodation for 10 people, there is a separate, self contained studio on the ground level, but you need to check availability, or contact us for more information.

Sandon Point with its Surf Life Saving Club is known as one of the best places to surf in the area.
The 13km Bike track that is a walking, jogging and bicycle track runs from Wollongong to Thirroul, follow the coastline with magnificent views of the beautiful beaches and the Pacific Ocean. You can stop for a coffee at one of the great cafes located in Bulli.
You can stock up on your provisions at Woolworths in Bulli, as well as visit fabulous street cafes and specialty shops and aboutiques.
Bulli Foragers Market is open every Sunday 9-2 and is a great place to visit, offering great atmosphere, fabulous food, music and loads of stalls to browse.

Conditions of Occupation:
Quiet hours for outside noise from 10pm – 8am. There is plenty of room to socialise inside.
To maintain a high standard for tenants the following conditions of occupation apply:
(a) Use of premises – the premises are let for holiday purposes only and for the period stated on the receipt.
(b) Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
(c) Number of guests should NOT exceed the number stated in the Confirmation Notice unless subsequently agreed in writing or email. Additional fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the Owner in advance and these will be deducted from the bond.
(d) Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The premises are located in the residential area of Thirroul and have a strict no party policy. NO weddings, parties or large gatherings are permitted.
(e) Noise – Noise to be kept to a minimum. With NO outside noise from 10pm. In the event of noise complaints which result in Holiday Letting Organisation or Police call out, or should a noise order be issued, the Owner reserves the right to immediately evict the Tenant and retain the whole of the bond.
(f) Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss – the Tenant is responsible for the tenant’s personal property. The cost of repair or replacement of any item in the premises or the premises itself due to damage and/or breakages will be deducted from the bond and may include additional charges.
(g) No pets are allowed under any circumstances.

The property was not as advertised on the VRBO website. Description was false and misleading and poorly furnished despite stating “newly furnished”. VRBO, the host and the owner have not responded to any of my complaints.

We were from Melbourne for the weekend to celebrate a 70th birthday. Wonder and Awe was the perfect place to relax between celebration activities. We were able to go for walks, enjoy local cafes, a brewery and restaurants and return to this comfortable and spacious retreat.

We were a group of friends who had a lovely weekend at the property. The location is fantastic - right near a great foot/cycling track to walk to Thirroul and Bulli Beaches. The view from the deck and kitchen sink are amazing, but you can't see much of it from the lounge room. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had very few utensils for cooking.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Beautiful property right on the beach. Only things to be mindful of: while it states that one of the bedrooms has 2x single beds, it was a double bed instead, and there was a really strong bad odour coming from the main bathroom’s drain which lasted about 3 hours. Perhaps it hadn’t been used in a while but it was something else to be mindful of. Also the coffee machine didn’t work. But everything else was fab!

The location was spot on for a family. Easy access to the beach 150m approx from accommodation, lots of grass area to kick a soccer ball, great park at Bulli Beach and easy walk to cafes. We only used the car to stock up on supplies. Property was tidy, plenty of space and amenities. Smart tv allowed ability to entertain kids on multiple apps when needed.

We loved our stay here and the views are the best part of this holiday home. The beds and pillows were great and very comfortable. The best part was the closeness to the beach and the balcony with an endless ocean view.
The only negative would be that there were no starve places to store/ hang your clothes in wardrobe but plenty of hooks on doors but yo still need some space to store away your clothes, etc.
A minor thing in the scheme of things but can be fixed by having a wardrobe or two.

the property location and security was excellent, the property wasn't clean on the outside like the balcony and the side of the House so we have to do our own cleaning there and the furniture inside were old and one of the chairs in living room was broken and not clean and also one of the blinds in the bedroom come down in the middle of the night and there was no cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaner or mop so we have to buy oue own mop and some of the kitchenware wear old and chipped but overall we enjoyed our stay and we had a great time thank you.

We booked this property for 3 of our staff who are working on a job in Wombarra just 10 minutes drive away.
They were very happy with the accommodation, it was very clean and comfortable and so close to the beach they said they felt more like they were in holidays than at work.
Very happy with this accommodation and the assistance we received from the property manager, she was very professional and easy to deal with.

Beautiful view from the balcony, easy access to the beach and many things to visit near by. Our stay was very comfortable. I recommend to bring your own pans and pots as they are limited if you are cooking during the stay.
