Comfortable,clean, lovely and the host goes above and beyond

A beautiful home with a wonderful owner. The property is clean,, spacious, comfortable with everything you need. Roger even stayed up very late for me to check in.

Lovely home from home stay!

Home from home which was super comfortable and was a perfect base for my 3 nights. Richard is a top guy and was super friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend it!

only stayed as nowhere else to..its neither guest house or hotel.would not use again nor reccomend

comfy bed !!!

breakfast not offered -not on suite -toilet in main entrance-had to walk through owners kitchen and dining room to use shower -no tumblers for nightime

Very pleasant.

Burt & Sue were very pleasant and accommodating. Literally welcomed you into their home. Just 2 rules, take your shoes off to go upstairs and make yourself at home. Gorgeous accommodation. Highly recommend.

Nice clean accommodation, well priced and in a good location. A nice relaxing stay

It was easy to walk into town from the property. Room was clean and comfortable and I was made to feel welcome, the cost was reasonable too. I think the room would have benefitted from tea making facilities, but you can use the kitchen. Although not en suite the bathroom was close by with a lovely powerful shower and roll top bath. I would stay here again

We were there just to sleep 🛌 and bed is comfortable ☺️

Didn’t see anyone this morning before we left and we are on a hurry because we have a booking at 12 noon at one of the heritage site, and bit of a distance, so we left without any note, and I apologise for it 🫣

Would have been good if there’s in suite bathroom 🚽 having said that, there’s 2 sharing ones that is clean ☺️

Great value, great location, lovely host, highly recommend 👍🏻

Bert was the perfect host, we had a cuppa in our hands within 5 minutes and an offer of some roast dinner too 🥰 The room was perfect as was the location. Literally 10 minutes from the town centre. It very much felt like a home from home and everything was so chilled and relaxed, exactly what we were looking for during our stay. Much more personable than staying at a branded chain of hotels and very good value for money. Not only would we highly recommend, we will definitely be coming back later in the year 👍🏻

No breakfast. Use of the kitchen was appreciated

The property is at the top of a steep, private road so access on foot was hard work. More information in the room would be helpful - the code for the internet should be written out rather than guests having to grovel on the floor to access it. The television had various channels available, but it did not seem possible to watch 'live' TV. A brief guide on how to use the TV would be helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our little break at Lauderdale Lodge.

Location was great. Bert is a fantastic host and the house was wonderful. Kitchen and dining room available to use and because our TV wasn’t working we had the Lounge with its wonderful log burner at our disposal. Just fantastic.

An en-suite would of been good but the shower room was satisfactory.

Welcoming, friendly, comfortable

Bert has been such a welcoming host. I've felt really comfortable and at ease during my stay! The rooms are lovely, always well presented and tidy. The kitchen is a really lovely space too and really well equipped. The location is very convenient, just a short walk into town, but is tucked away in a nice quiet corner.

Very nice and comfortable place. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The host was very friendly and helpful!

Good value and friendly host

The host very generously offered us free use of all amenities. Very good value for money.

The photos on Booking.com website don't really give an accurate impression of the location of the house. It looks as though it's situated in lots of green space in a secluded area, but that's achieved with a fish-eye lens.

Nice location, friendly proprietor and a pleasant Barnstaple property. Good value for money and would be happy to stay at the property again.

Excellent

The service was impeccable, as young stayers I feel as if the stigma around us is bad but he was very welcoming and offered me and my partner free tea/coffee, the bathroom was very clean and eye appeasing. He was very talkative and a nice chap that also respected boundaries and have a lot of privacy. 100/10!!
