This villa is truly delightful, with great accommodation and a lovely pool area, and the surrounding hills are stunning. Close to Ronda and walking distance to this pretty village and cafes. Isabel and Juan, managing the villa, could not have been more helpful. The location is an easy drive to Seville, Granada, Cordoba and the white towns in the hills. We hope to return.

The landscape is truly stunning and Montejacque and Les Tres Fuentes make an excellent base to enjoy and explore this amazing region. If road cycling is your thing you're in for a treat although be prepared to do alot of climbing. I hired a bike from Grazalema Cycling Adventures; great service and great equipment.

Great house close to a lovely village
We had a lovely week with all the family in Montejaque. The owners were very helpful with a lot of information prior to going. Also provide comprehensive information at the villa. We found everything we needed for the holiday. Great location and close to village so you can eat out without driving. We love the whole area. The only downside was dogs barking if you’re a light sleeper as is common in Europe! Thank you for a great holiday!

Great villa in lovely village , close to Ronda - excellent
Great communication and great check in , no problems at all , was all managed brilliantly. Villa is stunning with all amenities and superb views , there was plenty of room for 8 of us being 4 adults and 4 children. Montejaque is a lovely village with selection of bars , tapas bars and restaurants just a short stroll from villa, there are a couple of small shops selling groceries etc. Ronda is a short drive around 20 minutes , and there is a local bus service that’s runs this route. We had a great stay and would defiantly recommend ,

A beautiful villa in a welcoming village
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa so much. It is beautifully situated just outside Montejaque, so a very short walk into a historic, friendly and atmospheric village, which has a good bakery, perfectly adequate small supermarkets and an extraordinary choice of bars and restaurants. We were lucky to be in Montejaque when the festival was on, and enjoyed the events enormously. The surrounding landscape is stupendous, and can be seen especially advantageously from the villa, at the poolside and from the upper terraces. The bedrooms are spacious and well furnished, as is the large communal area, and the villa is very well equipped. The area is great for exploration, by car and railway, and also on foot (when the sun allows), with many exceptional places to visit nearby. Cristobal and Isobel were very welcoming and helpful to us, and the owner, Roz Littler, was especially thoughtful in all her contacts with us. This is a perfect spot for a memorable holiday.

Awsome holiday
This was a beautiful villa in an amazing location. The local scenery was awesome. We did some lovely walks such as the Camininto del Ray (They have their own web site and you need to book in advance). The caves just beyond the next village are well worth a visit and so is Ronda.
We were a group of seven 3 x +70yr olds, 2 x +50yr olds and 2 x +20yr olds.
The villa was well equipped for everyones needs. We loved the upstairs terrace for breakfast with wonderful views and the shaded area by the pool for lunch. The village of Montejaque is also beautiful and the walk up to the view point very pretty and the best way to explore the village. There are plenty of bars and some lovely restaurants, who all despite our lack of ability to speak Spanish made us very welcome. I would recommend this villa to anyone who wants a taste of real Spain. Our only regret is we were only there for a week. We will definitely have to visit again as there is so much more in the area we would like to do and we didn't spend enough time lazing by the lovely pool side.

We have just spend Easter in the beautiful villa with our family, including two grand children (4 years and 8 months). We enjoyed that the rooms were very spacey and the view from the roof terrace. We were even in the pool even if it was cold. We walked into the village several times to eat, shop, and see the Easter parade at late night. We walked in the mountains and even to Ronda through the beautiful landscape. We took the car to the caves (amazing), Jerez (sherry tasting) and Cadiz by the sea. The weather could have been better ( Easter was very early this year), but we went all sun tanned back to Denmark. Roz and isabel were perfect helpers.

Perfect for three generations
We spend Easter in the beautiful villa with family and two small grandchildren. We enjoyed the spacey rooms, the roof terrace with mountain view and even the pool (cold in March!). We made a lot of good food in the well equipped kitchen and the grill at the terrace. We liked to take a walk to the village to buy food have lunch and dinner and we went to see the Easter celebrations late at night. We took fine trips by car to Jerez (sherry tasting), Cadiz (by the sea), to the caves (amazing) etc. And we walked from the house in to the mountains and even to Ronda. Roz and Isabel were perfect helpers. The weather could have been better, but Easter was early this year, and we went all sun tanned and happy back to Denmark.

beautiful villa in a beautiful village
Had a fabulous relaxing fortnight in this stunning villa, we had 4 children in our party including a baby of 2, every need was catered for, cot highchair even a potty! Fantastic, we cannot speak a word of spanish but got on just fine. The locals were very welcoming and we loved our evenings in jemas cafe whilst the kids had lots of fun in fountain. Ronda was breath taking, a short drive away, really beautiful and romantic, we loved it there. Fantasic holiday and hope to return x

Stunning Villa in a beautiful authentic Spanish village. Excellent location, only 5 minutes’ walk into a charming little village with an excellent town square. Great restaurant in town called La Casetta. Great little bars in the town square. Fantastic butcher in the next town and good big supermarkets in Ronda North (15 min drive). Local village of Montejaque has good mini marts with a large variety too. The Villa is just beautiful. Great well equipped kitchen. Lots of towels provided and very handy having a washing machine. Comfortable beds and good water pressure in the showers. Finished to a high standard. TV is very small however we didn't care as spent all evenings outside. Wifi works well too. Pool is stunning with excellent views looking out to the mountains. Good sun loungers. Roof balcony is great for looking at the stars in the evening. Highly recommend this villa. Info provided by Roz is excellent and the agent in the local town is extremely helpful. Great Vila!! Would stay again!

Spacious retreat away from it all
We loved our stay in Montejaque. The villa is enormous and comfortably fits two families of four. It is well equipped, and furnished in a simple and stylish way. Roz the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, as was Isobel, her representative in the town. Montejaque itself seems a sleepy, quiet place and would be ideal if you want somewhere peaceful and non-touristy, with easy access to busier parts of Andalucia. Having a car is essential, as Montejaque is about 20 minutes drive from Ronda (you could get a cab to the train station down the valley at a push). We would recommend the following local activities: hiking from Montejaque, either towards Ronda or in the other direction, into the hills; a trip to the Caves of Pileta (completely uncommercialised, stunning, with drawings dating back more than 30,000 years); a drive to Zahara de la Sierra, with lunch at the amazing Al Lago and a climb up to the old Moorish castle perched at the top; and, if you're lucky enough to visit at Easter, viewing the incredible Semana Santa (Holy Week) processions.
Thank you, Roz!

An amazing villa in the most wonderful location.
We had the most amazing time in such a stunning villa. Set in a truly Spanish village views are superb, very large property very tastefully done. Best part was the different terraces which means you can soak up the sun or sit in the shade as you wish. Could not fault any aspect and we will return.

Beautiful place for a relaxing holiday
A lovely villa, great accommodation, clean, spacious and very well equipped. Plenty of room for the seven of us. Wifi to keep our 16 year old entertained....and the pool for the 12 and 10 year olds. Very well locatec. Five minute walk to several places to drink and order tapas, afew small supermarkets, fresh bread from the bakery and even fresh churros on the sunday. We really loved this place in the real spain. Lots of places to visit nearby including a great lake where you can hire kayaks. We went to seville, malaga and to ronda several times....so much to do in this area. We will definitely be back. Would be a great base for walking in the cooler months :)

Amazing views
We had never been to this area before and were surprised by how beautiful it was. Montejaque is a tranquil village near Ronda and not far from Seville or Jerez. Lovely walking too. The house is comfortable, well appointed and has terrific views down the valley. Plenty of space for everyone and lots of outside areas to sit and relax. Lovely pool too!
We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.

Fantastic family holiday
Thank you for making our holiday the family break we all needed. We were made to feel so welcome by the team there, from the welcome basket to helping us out- Isabelle even helped me to print out my boarding cards on the last day when I realised I should have done them! Such great facilities at the property- we stayed in two evenings and barbecued- great to have a fully equipped kitchen, so many properties we've rented in the past didn't even have chopping knives- so great to have all the little things I'd have at home- must say we got our worth out of the washing machine- but lovely to go home with suitcases of clean clothes! Our 5 year old son learnt to swim as was in the pool the whole day, but we also went to ronda for some more cultural outings, interspersed with tapas! Really ,a aged to recharge- Looking forward to returning next year!

Wonderful week in July spent at Las tres fuentes
All the the way this has been a great holiday From the initial booking to receiving all the information ,payment and very personal contact from the owners, the weeks holiday, accommodation and area has been top draw.
We booked the 7 days of heat and wall to wall sunshine which I think is not guaranteed but it would not have made a difference.
Very straight forward in getting the keys to the Villa and what a place. It has an instant relax feel and plenty of space both inside and out. All the facilities and utensils you need, and more actually.
Plenty of places in Montejaques to eat drink but food and only a 14 minute stroll to the village square.
Fantastic place worth every penny.

The house is fantastic, the reviews are accurate and they do this property justice in almost every way. We had a great time there with one small but annoying exception. Most dogs in the Village are kept outdoors and sleep during the day. This does mean that in the evenings and at night, they can sometimes erupt into sessions of noisy barking but mostly this is in the distance. However, four very nice dogs are kept in a smallholding directly at the back of the property, about 5 - 8 metres away from the back of the house. Each night that we stayed in Montejaque, these dogs either barked until late in the evening, about 11pm, or they would have a session of barking between 2am and 6am most days. Roz does provide a sonic device that is effective in stopping the dogs barking, but of course it does not prevent them from doing so in the first place. Isabel and Juan from the village were very understanding and helpful in trying to change this situation, but we got the impression that the owner has no intention of moving the dogs, understandably. So if you are going to Montejaque, and if you are a light sleeper, then make sure you take some earplugs with you, just to help you get a good night's rest. Or drink more wine! Apart from that, the location is superb, the villagers are reserved but polite, the restaurants are good, especially La Casita, and the Supersol supermarket in Ronda has everything you could possibly need. The local shops provide plenty of day to day items and the bakery is lovely. We also did a day trip to Sevilla (90 minutes driving) which was well worth it, what a lovely city!
Finally, the one thing I did not appreciate when we left home for this Village was what fantastic hiking country it is. About 100 metres away from the house is a zig-zag path up one of the hills which is a pretty safe walk and if you were a serious climber or caver, this would be paradise! If you have space in your luggage for your boots, you would be well rewarded with great walks and fantastic views, especially at sunrise and sunset. Almost the perfect holiday.

Las Tres Fuentes
We had the most amazing time in this superb villa. The generous welcome pack was very much appreciated. So much space for our adult family, we kept losing each other in the many rooms and terraces. Our favourite spot was the roof terrace with the most spectacular views - many an hour was spent with binoculars watching the Griffin Vultures circling overhead. If you enjoy walking and birdwatching Montejaque is the perfect base. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate a 60th birthday with the family.

A gem in a spectacular setting in Andalusia!
We were a group of 7, including 4 kids aged 11 to 20, and 3 adults. The house was a perfect size to handle us all. It has a wonderful open kitchen with views, outdoor balconies and a lovely pool with deck. The bedrooms are comfortable, the house well-stocked for eating in, reading, and relaxing. Montejaque is a quaint village with plenty of tapas spots and little restaurants. There is also good local hiking and some interesting sites nearby. It is well situated for visiting other famous cities, all within 2 hours drive. The owner and manager were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend the house to others!

Great week with 8 persons in this beautiful house
We all had a perfect week in this comfortable beautifull house in Montejaque. . Thanks to Roz the owner and also Isabel the contact person in the place. The arrival in the evening and the welcome present in the house ; wine, bread, fruit, jam, cheese etc etc was so kind. We do think about going back there. The best place to be in Andalusie.

An outstanding house in the mountains
This is an outstanding villa in a stunning setting among the mountains. We had high expectations of 'Las Tres Fuentes' but all were exceeded. The house and facilities are maintained to an exceptionally high standard and we had an thoroughly enjoyable stay here.
The food and wine waiting on arrival was very thoughtful and the local information is comprehensive.
The swimming pool is very well maintained and clean and was in frequent use by the children despite being a bit chilly in early April!
The village of Montejaque is quiet and picturesque. It is ideally situated for walking and the birdwatching is excellent (including Bonelli's eagles).
Booking 'Las Tres Fuentes' was very straightforward and Roz is a great communicator who is more than happy to answer questions.

A beautiful villa!
We arrived and were greeted at the villa by Isabella who looks after it with Chris. She was very friendly and gave us a guided tour and we immediately fell in love with the villa and felt at home. The welcome hamper of food was very much appreciated and contained all the necessities plus much more. The villa is very spacious, well looked after and has everything you need. The pool area is fantastic with plenty of sunloungers and at all points during the day has both sunny and shady areas. We loved having breakfast in the outdoor eating area and enjoyed many bottles of wine on the roof terrace in the evening. The villa is set in a stunning location with beautiful views in all directions. The village of Montejaque is a short walk from the villa and has a number of small minimarkets that stock an impressive range of fresh fruit, bread and meat at excellent prices. There are plenty of good quality restaurants within the village that provide a variety of styles of eating including tapas, raciones and meals. El Patio soon became a favourite of ours with a huge menu that caters for everyone. We also ate at and enjoyed the hotel restaurant on the square and La Casitas which is hidden away in the backstreets.
Montejaque is a quiet village with a lovely, friendly atmosphere. If you are seeking a holiday to unwind and get away from it all this is the perfect place. We would highly recommend staying in this villa. Roz, the owner was very helpful and informative before our holiday and extremely friendly in all our communications. We have a young boy and travelled with friends with two young children, all who had a fantastic time. We were very sad to leave and will definitely be returning in the future.
