It’s character and location
It is in need of some refurbishing to meet 5 star rating

we always stay at Villa Jerez when visiting Jerez which we do 2-3 times a year. perfecto. We can’t fault it. We have already booked for next 2 visits
maybe improve the pillow options.

We loved this Hotel!!! It is a really beautiful building, with a great ambiance and old world charm with a modern twist. From the moment we arrived, the service from the concierge was absolutely superb, and his his helpful advice and recommendations were spot on. We were travelling with another couple, and both rooms were really lovely. Nicely decorated, spacious, with magnificent bathrooms. The pool, although small, was very pleasant after a hot day exploring. Breakfast and bar service both excellent. At all times we were made to feel like important and valued guests, and that all of the staff were keen to make sure we had a good stay.
Not a major, but Villa Jerez is a decent walk from town, so we usually took a taxi one way. It is an easy walk (5 minutes) to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and to the Sandeman Bodega.

All of it, lovely hotel, lovely location, friendly staff. they mostly do speak English but I still had the opportunity to practice some Spanish.
It's a long way from the nearest airport but they can't help that... no complaints. Lovely time.

The garden and the breakfast were lovely
I’m writing this review based on the fact that it calls itself a 5 Star hotel. It’s a good 3 star at best and I’d probably have overlooked some of the things if they classified themselves properly.
Check in and out felt very dismissive, the woman just took my money gave me my room key and that was it. I felt I was disturbing her from the browsing on her phone she was doing when I arrived.
I noticed later that all the other guests I saw checking in received a welcome drink but I did not get this.
The room wasn’t really that clean, corners were very dusty, there were things such to the wall in the shower and the bottom of the bed sheet at the floor was absolutely filthy.
Furniture felt old, and the patio of the room was just bare. At least for a supposed 5 Star hotel put some plants out there to give it colour and make it somewhere you would actually want to sit.
A very disappointing place.

all good

An excellent property with phenomenal staff. Our room was excellently appointed with a splendid terrace and our hosts could not have been more helpful with suggestions for Bodega visits. The breakfast was a highlight of the day with a brilliant selection of hot and cold treats.

lovely atmosphere and staff. nice location not too close to town centre but walkable

Good location in tree-lined suburban street within an easy walk of the town centre and all the major attractions of the beautiful city. Easy secure parking. Beautiful building in modern neoclassical style.
Superbly friendly Reception staff with excellent English language.
Large, well proportioned room.
As the city was "humming" on a Friday evening and local restaurants appeared packed and as we were only staying one night during a long drive, we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful but dinner was not to our taste although it may suit others. It was "nouvelle cuisine", with very small portions. We felt it was rather expensive.
Our other complaint was that it was rather a noisy night. We were given the room straight above the main entrance and Reception. The sound-proofing in our room was poor: we were woken several times during the night by the plumbing and also loud conversations, presumably from downstairs. I am sure there are quieter rooms and if we stayed there again- which we would like to do- we would certainly ask not to stay in the same room.

Virtually everthing. Senor Campo, most charming and helpful. Could almost make this place our home :) bed was wonderfully firm
3 night stay. Last day in afternoon a loud party on lower terrace smoked and drank too much...smoke filtered into lobby. From the look of the staff they were none too happy juat like us.

Staff and hospitality at the hotel are superb, very polite, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and dining are 5-star - the dinner menu is one of the finest in Jerez. The pool is beautiful and relaxing.
Nespresso in room is standard in suites; chest of drawers for clothing.

This hotel is an amazing boutique hotel. Exceptional facilities and the staff here were brilliant. A particular mention for Paco who was so friendly and helpful to us throughout our stay. The rooms and pool were lovely and well maintained. This is a quality hotel and we would love to return again. Also please go to Fundador for the tour and tapas. You will not regret that either.! Everything!!!
Fantastic setting and great feel to the property. Staff were very good. Stayed on half board basis and the food was excellent value. Pool and garden area was great and secure parking. We hope to return.
Minor irritation was dogs barking in neighbouring properties but not a fault of the hotel merely a result of the location.
4.5
The location was perfect. A little oasis. Wonderful staff and facilities. It was like having our own private hotel and pool at times. Fantastic breakfast spread. Lovely afternoon drinks by the pool.
No fault of the hotel at all, but there was an incessantly barking dog at neighbouring property, as if it had been abandoned or locked out.
4.5
not a great deal the photos make the property look a lot better than it actually is, really noisy next door building loud music and then dog barking it’s head off at 4 am
we only attempted on evening meal and it was not very good at all to be fair they refunded the main meal and only charged for the starter and that was very average

Great room. Lovely staff. Great location. Secure parking.
4.5
Beautiful building. Well cleaned and luxurious interiors - lots of marble, fountains, manicured gardens. Wonderful pool area. A friendly welcome.
Slow service - was very difficult to order anything - no one came to see if you wanted a cold drink by the pool for example. Breakfast was very basic. Seemed to be lots of events on. Not the most relaxing when trying to find peace and quiet by the pool - screaming children for example and children's entertainers. Some amenities could do with updating.

great location- spacious and excellent friendly staff

Excellent breakfast, a walk away from town but not too far.
4.5
Excellent breakfast large selection of edibles and constant attention from the staff. I would recommend a visit to this hotel over any other in Jerez. It could not be beaten !!
Provision of tea/coffee making facility would have been appreciated in the room.
4.5
Huge room & bathroom. Vast open interior spaces in public rooms, with marble everywhere. Has the feel of a stay in a country house. Pool was pleasant to use and staff very helpful and friendly. Dinner was good enough, although not overly subscribed for by the residents on the night we dined in. Some rooms have a large balcony with chairs and tables. Breakfast was plenty good enough without being outstanding. A great location for the Real Escuela and Sandemans for the sherry tasting. Enough car parking & secure. Worth the money. What you see in the photos is what you get.
Not much to dislike; some felt the sitting area a little too formal, as no bar (service always available) and chairs not necessarily ideal for sitting for a drink, unless outside. The trade-off from it being close to some of the attractions and quiet, means that it is a decent walk to the centre of town, but taxis easily available and cheap.
