We requested another cabin as the one we were allocated had water damage, with a black-mould smell evidenta and growing behind the spongy, ply walls. No replacement cabin was available and no refund for the three nights stay which was given in advance.

Very nice staff, gorgeous park with raintrees, very quiet. Excellent location for reaching the Skyrail, and visit Port Douglas and the Daintree forest in one day. We stayed 4 nights, was really good to enjoy Cairns and surroundings. We used the BBQ every night and met friendly travellers. We got good tips from the reception staff. Cabin was small but well equipped, good for 2 people.

Location and cleanliness
It’s not a direct fault of the owners but the website has information wasn’t clear and as a result we booked a cabin which we thought had a bathroom. It didn’t and the place was fully booked with no chance of an upgrade. With a partner with mobility issues the trek to the toilet facilities became a real trial for her. This took the shine off our experience.
Also, no towels (guess that’s because there was no bathroom?), no running hot water, very dated and “tired” cabin. Whilst there was a kettle, microwave, fridge, crockery, cutlery etc there was none of the usual complimentary tea, coffee, milk or sugar available. Not a huge problem but arriving late left us with nowhere to shop and no hot drink options.

The cabin was old, but clean and comfortable. Had all we needed the grounds were very pretty with bigs trees. Mark was friendly and helpful.

We stayed originally 2 nights in an Ensuite cabin at this holiday park and enjoyed it so much we extended another day. Room is clean and well equipped, staff friendly, no complaints at all! Great location as close to Cairns! Would recommend and definitely stay again if in the area next time!
Nothing!

Friendly staff. Loved the pool. Aircon was really good. Nice surroundings.
Wifi wasn’t good. Apart from that it was excellent

It was on a main road - close to shopping centre and literally 5min straight drive to CBD/Esplanade.
But far enough back to miss the traffic noise.
Slight musty smell on arrival that needed airing out.
The shower head was very low. I am 5”6 and I had to duck to wash my hair.

The staff were great. Checkin was a breeze. The communal bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean. The park itself looks pretty nice but that's where it ends.
The "bungalow" that I booked was a complete dump! It's a tiny little cabin that reeked of moth balls like smells. Had to constantly air the room out. It's never had a renovation in its life and looks worn out. Cigarette burn holes in the old lino. The bed actually gave me a sore back that required a professional massage to fix. Worst of all there is no toilet in the room itself so you have to walk to the toilets outside at 3am to use the loo. The door didn't feel secure either as there was alot of movement in the door after locking so I didn't feel really secure with my possessions.

Very very basic. Nothing for the kids. It was the absolute basics. The first cabin had ants thru it.. tv wasnt working.. ants on the bed. Room.was riddled with them. Offered a second room. Was better.

Its situation was convenient for me. I guess the venerable tree was my favourite
Just badly designed facilities in the bungalow. Kitchen tap a mere 2cm from edge of sink ! A shower head at only 165cm. Some very old fashion hot plates, no doubt energy guzzlers. The TV in a corner, rather than opposite the bed as is common in most accomodations

Quiet location.Camp kitchen which included BBQs.
A fan in the bedroom would mean air-con wouldn't need to be run as much.Microwave in cabin was temperamental but I used the one in the camp kitchen.Pool was out of order and at this time of year it would have been very welcome.

location and staff
very stuffy , air con and fans prehistoric little effect on hot days made worse by pool closure due to "maintenance " for 3 days with no sign of anything being done to pool even cleaning more like turned pumps off to save costs !
