Lovely location on the square

Clean, comfortable room. Situated right on the main square, but room was quiet. No frills but great budget hostal. Excellent coffee and churros in cafe downstairs.

Good location, comfortable bed, hot shower.

Staff was not helpful when I didn't fully comprehend what was said. They were curt, short and disdainful with me. Whether it was because I was a pilgrim, a tourist or an American I don't know but they weren't going to take the time to be helpful. The waiter at the restaurant was similarly not interested in being helpful. They were busy so I understand the difficulty but if they don't like pilgrims, tourists, non Spanish speakers (My Spanish is pretty good) Americans or old white dudes then maybe they shouldn't cater to them and take their money.

Hostel great but don’t support the attached coffee shop

I really liked the room for the price. Great location, lots of shops and restaurants close by, located right in the town square. Beds, shower, cleanliness and wifi all great.

I am usually very positive on the places we select to stay at and I have nothing but good things to say about the Linares Hostel where we stayed last night. On the back of the room door was a note “ when leaving the room leave the key in the Linares Cafe in the same building, no problem. At 8 am when cafe opened we were the first two people in the door to order coffee and breakfast, two women working at the bar area. We attempted to order coffee and toast at the bar as we always do but weee told to sit down and one of the two would come over to serve us? unfriendly two ladies. We sit down, waiting to either to come take our order. Two Spanish locals come in immediately behind us, order their coffee from the bar, get their coffee lots of smiles. Another Spanish couple come in and sit at the table beside us. One guess who the waitress comes over to take the order from…. a hint, it wasn’t us! We leave the keys on the table and leave. We then go along the Camino route about 200 meters to the Azores Cafe, wonderful lady, great coffee and croissants for breakfast. Thanks Azores Cafe, please support this place. We have been working on our Spanish constantly since 2016, there was no misunderstanding just rude disrespectful staff at the Cafe Linares.

the bed the pillows it did not have a hair dryer the mattress kept coming away from the head board leaving a space where one could not settle the very uncomfortable pillows

A great stay in Ribadeo!

Hostale Linares is situated across from a lovely park and right in the action of locals and some tourists having a drink, coffee or meal. Our room was as pictured, very clean and quite small but bright and with a good view outside the balcony doors. A helpful waiter spoke English and the cafeteria below was perfect for desayuno!

A comfortable chair is always appreciated in a hotel room.

The room was completely comfortable.

it was above the door to the Cafe and the Cafe only closed at midnight so we slept very little. I was unable to close the doors to the balcony as it was too hot. No fan no aircon.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

EVERYTHING was GREAT. SUPER clean. Zero smell from bathroom. Comfy beds. In the center of everything but quiet and peaceful. The café downstairs has the best coffee and churros! All staffs are very helpful and friendly. Stayed here 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. The first place that we’ve ever given 5 stars for everything and we’re picky people. Happy stay!!

Superb

Brilliant location in town (near town square/park) and handy for bars/restaurants/shops. Part of a bar also so food/breakfast available. We were walking Camino and very close to route. Nice size room and good bathroom.

Great Camino stay, right on top of churros and chocolate cafe!

Excellent location right on the Camino and within steps of most Ribadeo sights, restaurants, shops. Arriving in Ribadeo after a few days of small villages feels great, and H Linares is an excellent choice for an overnight stop. Churros and chocolate are at ground level, perfect for breakfast!

Very good

Standard pleasant pension above a cafe, everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Right in the centre of lots of bars / restaurants in Ribadeo and very easy to get to the waterfront etc.
