Absolutely exquisite property with a lot of history. The current owner inherited the property from her grandparents and has many interesting stories.

We had the most amazing welcome and tour of the property by the owners, who were so friendly. The house itself is beautiful and is set in a large garden with relaxing areas to sit. The breakfast was fabulous, the best out of our week cycling the Camino Way. There is a secure garage to store our bikes too. This was a great location for a group of friends to get together! Thank you

I stayed at the Villa with my family and we had the most amazing time. The host and his family were incredibly hospitable and I can’t recommend this place enough! Will definitely be back to stay longer.

Lovely old villa, beautifully preserved with original features and furniture. Great views from the tower. Large garden area with pool and variety of places to sit and relax.
Family very welcoming and so committed to looking after the guests.
Good breakfast.

We loved the historical home, the garden, location and breakfast - what a great place to stay near the ocean.
There was a slight odor in the room, not a problem, but more heavily perfumed than perhaps needed.

My husband and I were walking the Coastal Camino Portuguese and were switching to the Central Camino. This hotel was in a perfect location for us to spend the night. I saw the pictures online and just HAD to stay there. The whole property is filled with history and is MAGICAL. From the manicured gardens and arbors to the pool area (in which we swam in late April) everything was perfect. The host gave us a tour of the family part of the property complete with family photos- this place has been in the family for generations! We were even allowed to climb the tower and go on the high up balcony for views over the city.
I think this home has 6 guest rooms. Ours was on floor zero facing the back gardens. It was a great room. The breakfast in the antique filled dining room was over the top with selections. I can't say enough about their hospitality. If you love history and really want to stay someplace special, THIS is the place to stay.

Beautiful historical hotel and well, it’s a palace so pretty swanky. I felt like a princess as I was walking the Camino and loved the pampering after a long days walk. Fabulous and spacious suite with a view of the river. Wonderfully prepared breakfast!

Breakfast was excellent and much thought given to the fact that I am coeliac and therefore gluten free

The place far exceeded our expectations. The host and hostess and the staff were all wonderful.
We enjoyed learning the history of the place from the host who greeted us when we arrived and gave us a grand tour.

This is one of the more special places where I've ever stayed. If you ever go to that part of Portugal, you have to visit this gem. It's a true experience, perfectly maintained hotel, wonderful owners and a gorgeous setting.

The breakfast was exceptionally good and we loved walking round the beautiful gardens and seeing the views from the tower.
The road outside the house was very busy which may have been because of the festival on in the town that night. We would have like there to be the option to park inside the villa grounds.
My partner is exceptionally tall and the bed wasn't really big enough for both of us to sleep comfortably.

The house and gardens are lovely.
The breakfast was superior and included a number of different homemade pastries and bread, a wide selection of teas, fresh juice, yoghurt, etc. We could eat in the dining room or on the balcony, which we did to look out at the river.
Susana was a wonderful hostess, introducing us to the history of the house and the area, and helping us make the train on time (as well as calling around to find out current taxi prices). We end up spending an entire day relaxing in the hotel because we really wanted to experience the ambiance of the hotel.

everything. I am not sure what period this building is but it felt like 18 century luxury with a modern touch. The host Susana was so good.

Beyound words. Everything is more than beautiful. The Palacete, the garden... Great staff, beautiful story of the place. It is like living in a museum. So greatfull that they are people like this family that show love and respect for clients and for history.

Susana is the perfect hostess (kind and attentive).
We were upgrade to a suite room and what a vintage experience that was!
You can see the owners are constantly trying to improve this amazing historical old building.
Either if your planning holidays or an event (e.g: wedding or christening) go and talk with them (you won't be disappoint). - Right spot; - Amazing view over the Minho River and Spain; -Between Caminha and Vila Nova de Cerveira. We would go back!
Beds could be bigger (although they are the typical sizes for this part of Europe) Susana understood our constructive comment, and we are sure this will improve.

Amazing. More beautiful than you can imagine. Stunning room, view, kindest hosts. Paradise. I got to change my arrival date for free.
Nothing really. Maybe only that there was busy road in front of the house.
