Location was great and the property was clean
The check in could have been a little smoother. The young man behind the bar was a little vague but was very welcoming after that - also gave us wrong room key at first lol.
7.0
It was friendly and near everything
No cooked breakfast
6.0
It has a nice pub atmosphere, central to Betws Y Coed.
Our arrival wasn’t very friendly. No fridge in the room, twin beds pushed into a double. A very noisy road all night.

The location is really central. Room was comfortable and on the top floor so nice and quiet even though it was facing the main road.
We couldn't check in at 4pm because rooms were not ready and were told to come back at 5pm. I asked if the time would be added to our checkout time, the girl in the bar didn't know or seem to have anyone to ask (you check in at the bar). There was no milk in our room for the tea (nice selection of tea and coffee). When we asked for some on the first evening we were told there was none. We asked again the following evening and did get some but also had to ask for toilet roll as the room was not cleaned on our second day (grabbed 2 fresh towels from a cupboard that was open)

Great location. Very clean. Amazing value.
Will definitely stay here again.

Anthony and Heather where fantastic hosts, cheerful and helpful they made the stay more enjoyable. The location of the hotel was perfect close to everything with the river and walks only a stones throw away. Betws-y-coed is a bustling holiday place with lots of visitors at peak times. Parking can be difficult during a hoilday rush.
Difficult to find parking, but Anthony gave us some pointers which helped us out.

Little noisy from outside on the road

They forgot to tell the chef we booked breakfast so we had to go elsewhere.
The breakfast
9.0
The room was very nicely decorated and cosy with a comfy bed. Great complimentary tea and coffee in the room (actual real coffee in bags made a nice change to usual hotel coffee!)
The bathroom was nice and clean with a decent overhead rainfall shower! The building itself is gorgeous and you can see the hotel owners take pride in their business.
We have nothing to complain about! Everything was perfect.

The room was very comfortable, clean and warm at night. The bed was super comfy and it had all the facilities we needed with a few extra touches. The location was fab and we got to see everything we wanted. Thoroughly enjoyed our 1st stay here and we will be back again one day.

Lovely place to stay - would highly recommend

Friendly accommodating staff
Nice old perfectly located building
Warm room with a good shower for UK
Pub downstairs
Delicious rhubarb crumble
The business seems to slow down after Xmas, so no breakfast available either morning and kitchen closed on one evening.
Bathroom bin not emptied from previous guests or after we asked.. had to go down with trash to the bar.
Impossible to reach by phone.. no one picks up.

The room was comfy, quiet and well-decorated.
My messages and phone calls were not answered which was a bit unnerving.
While my room was clean it could be better looked after - the soap holder was falling, the bedside table wobbly, there was a lot of dust on the desk shelve and underneath it and the top was damaged, the towel holder did not heat up.

The location was excellent. With the exception of the noise of people in the outside bar area, it was very quiet. The shower was very nice.
There was no wash cloth or hand towel. There were four packets of decaf coffee but no regular. Two of the decaf coffee packets were loose coffee grounds, which didn't make sense because there was no coffee maker only an electric kettle. There was no kind of creamer. There was no information in the rooms about any amenities including how to connect to the wireless and how to turn on the heater. There was no food service available the night I was there. Part of the bar was very cold because they had the doors to the outside seating wide open.

Brilliant shower and a great location
No milk in the room for tea or coffee. A little noisy if your looking for an early night

The location was perfect
- The ‘double bed’ was 2 single beds pushed together so me and my partner kept falling down the middle.
- The pub was playing extremely loud music until late.
- We couldn’t securely lock our window (which was right in front of a fire escape) and there was a lead around the window also so the carpet around the window and bed was soaking. Considering our room was right by a fire escape where anyone could potentially climb into the room, I would have thought the security would have been a little better as the window kept opening throughout the night.

Great location, clean, recently renovated rooms

Comfort, cleanness
1.0
Bed was comfy. Room had been recently redecorated. Inn is in the centre of the village. There is free parking nearby.
We had two tooms: one room smelt of damp/mould; the second room smelt of cigarette smoke. Both shower trays in both bathrooms over flowed onto the floor. This was because the drains/plugs were full of hair. It took 3 days for the showers to be unblocked. The rooms were not cleaned properly eg dirty mugs left for a few days. We were told we could use milk from the downstairs parlour for tea/coffee. The milk was stale. We were told there would be no cooked breakfast but that we could have cereal. On the first morning, however, the parlour was locked. There was no one in the kitchen. We knocked on the 'Private' door of the hotel where we presumed the manager lived but there was no reply. Later we found the manager who told us we had been given incorrect information re: breakfast. The fire door on our floor was kept open so anyone could walk up the fire escape from the A road outside. It's a safe village but overall it just didn't feel right. We also felt we'd overpaid for the level of accommodation we'd received.

Stylish rooms. Maybe the bathroom layout was a little awkward, but that comes with the territory with old buildings! Clean, comfy bed, nice tea and coffee. I slept really well. A little noise from downstairs, but it is a pub! It was a bit warm as the window was on the fire escape so was nailed shut! But not enough to send me on a mission to find a fan! Food was good pub staples. We didn't have a problem getting a table and it was served hot and timely. Great location.
