Parking and accessThere is a single parking space reserved for the apartment in the shared car park area underneath the building. Additional parking spaces are available in the free outdoor public car park 300m down the road. Winter tyres and/or snow chains sometimes necessary to reach the village in winter due to frequent snowfalls, however chains must be removed before entering the car park underneath the apartment building. From here an elevator takes you up to the top floor, where the final few steps lead up to the front door.
There is an additional pedestrian/skier access at the rear of the building. The apartment is a 1-minute walk from the bus stop, supermarket and children's playground. Car not necessary due to proximity to ski-lifts, restaurants and supermarket - contact us for airport or railway transfers.
WinterThe Penthouse Savoleyres 36 apartment is ski-in and ski-out as it is situated at the bottom of the main piste, at the departure point of the main telecabin. This modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

Ferienwohnung nahe an der Gondel. Gute Lage.

Great week in La Tzoumaz
The property was well located (ski in and out). Nice big apartment.

Great location
Excellent location and easy access to lift

Great value for its views and location
The property is located in La Tzoumaz and we stayed at the end of the summer season. Very clean and spacious enough for our family of five. Great views! We took full advantage of the free passes for the tele cabins to Verbier and up to Mont Fort. Really enjoyed the mountain walks and we were very lucky with the weather. La Tzoumaz was quite quiet at this time of year, which we liked, but there were only a few restaurant options. We were a bit late for check in due to traffic, but we appreciated that Patrick stayed a little late to accommodate us. We would love to return at some point, perhaps for winter!

while you get the property, you get nothing on top, not soap or a cleaning fabric, or any condiments.
you are warned 900 times that everything will cost you, and the felling is really not welcoming at any way.
the laundry is really complicated, no explanation was given to what or how this can be done (which coins, how to set the dryer, why...)
the location is actually perfect, and the parking is nice, yet the hospitality could be really much better

Fantastic location, lovely resort
This was our second visit to La Tzoumaz, which is a quiet resort with quick and easy access to Verbier.
Penthouse 36 is a lovely, comfortable apartment, very close to the telecabin and supermarket and with all the equipment we needed for self catering. Easy parking in the underground car park with lift straight up to the apartment.
It would have been useful to know that the washing machine is not actually in the apartment but is a communal one in the cellar (very easy to get there in the lift) and is coin operated, but that is my only niggle.

Penthouse 36 - Fantastic Location
Absolutely fantastic location - so close to the lift that we could come back and change gloves after lunch and lose less than 5 minutes ski time. Appartment is nicely laid out, 3rd bedroom ideal for two mischievous boys, and abundance of large radiators meant that all our gear was bone dry each morning.
Great views of the valley, and 4V4S were on hand as usual to answer any questions or queries.
4.3
Very friendly resort with a good choice of restaurants and bars on and off the piste
We were welcomed by the managing agents at the apartment on our arrival who were very inforamative pointing us in the right direction for the facilities that are on offer, from the main bubble lift to Verbier next door to the apartment, the swimming pool and sauna, the supermarket across the road and the bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was very comfortable for our stay being on the top floor with a lift and underground parking and above Le Pistard with its fresh croissants and coffee before heading out before the start of the day of skiing. With excellent weather conditions and snow there are plenty of reasons why we plan to return very soon. Thank you

Lovely apartment in great location but let down by poor management
Lovely spacious apartment but sadly the service from the local property managers was well below expected standard. On arrival at the resort their office was closed with no contact numbers on display. Even after this poor start they did not show us to the apartment. Other problems included:
WiFi code was not where we were told it would be;
We had to ask for a microwave to be delivered (the property advert specifies microwave);
The glass shower screen had come away from the wall and we had to wait 48 hours for it to be repaired, with no updates on progress from the management company;
We spent a great deal of our time dealing with problems with the washing machine, which clearly the management team were very unfamiliar with as they didn't even know where it was located. These issues would have been prevented with a few simple instructions; and finally although
it appears that smoke detectors are not a legal requirement in Switzerland and indeed we could not see any in the apartment, the smaller bedroom/bathroom where many families would let their children sleep has no escape route and could therefore become a death trap in the event of a fire.

Perfect location opposite the bars and supermarket and next door to the lifts. Top floor great views
Be the first on the lift after breakfast in Le Pistarde, a Patisserie serving fluffy croissants, great coffee and sandwiches if required, located on the ground floor of the very building where Penthouse 36 is located! If one has children, ski school also meets next door to this building, it's always a rush to get going in the mornings but at least there is no distance to travel here!
Penthouse 36 is located next to the main lift to Savoleyres and Verbier beyond, opposite two favourite bars, T bar and Bar Central and the new supermarket. La Tzoumaz offers 3 further bars and a number of Great restaurants.
Good snow and plenty of sun is also a great combination but if one doesn't fancy a ski there are other activities, thermal baths on the valley floor 1/2 hour away or perhaps a spot of shopping in Verbier a lift away!
A great holiday and looking forward to our next visit.
4.3
Great location!
We had a great holiday here. The access to the ski area is really easy and there ski hire shop is nearby. We had some confusion with the discounted ski passes but this was quickly resolved when Anna was contacted.
I would point out that the third bedroom with ensuite is approximately 5ft high so ideal for kids but not so good for the adults in our party. La Tzoumaz was lovely and quiet and usual swiss prices apply!
4.3
Excellent property well appointed and equipped
Lovely apartment with lots of benefits and space. Disappointed that agency decided to charge 50 fr for early entry as we arrived 1 hour before check in time. (Office was open anyway and apartment had already been cleaned and was ready). Any issues were resolved quickly (i.e. Internet was not working)

Ideal centre for Winter skiing and Summe walking
“We stayed in Penthouse 36 in the Summer. The apartment is in the centre of the village of La Tzoumaz, and right next door to the cable car over to Verbier.
There is car parking in the basement, with a lift up to the penthouse.
The penthouse has three bedrooms, sleeping six. With two bathrooms. The view from the balcony of the valley and surrounding mountains is outstanding. We loved our stay and hope to return again next year."
4.3
Easter Break
For a family of four the Penthouse 36 apartment was an ideal place for us to stay, as sleeping 6 it had more than enough space especially with the two bathrooms. You take a lift to the apartment, which was perfect after some long days skiing and having the underground carpark to keep the car for the week meant there was no hassle taking up our suitcases! The Penthouse 36 is in the centre of town and within easy walking distance from the shops, restaurants and other amenities. Ideally situated by the ski lifts and slopes, so in all made it a very enjoyable stay over the Easter holidays. We will be back and maybe to try it in the summer!

Holiday with friends
We rented Penthouse 36 as a group of 3 friends for a quick weekend ski break and had a fabulous time. The apartment is cozy and comfortable with a stocked kitchen, plenty of seating and a lovely balcony with stunning views. It was clean and tidy with useful information kept in files which came in handy. The property includes secure underground parking with a lift to the apartment, however, we didn't need the car once due to the close proximity to great local restaurants, cafes, shops and the chair lift. Overall I would say the apartment has a great home-from-home feel and would definitely recommend!
4.3
Location Location Location (+5*)
What a view! I wish I could wake up to that view every day. Thank you Penthouse 36 for a great holiday. Fresh croissants each morning from the Boulanger downstairs. No stomping around in ski boots as the lift is so close and there was easy access to the ski school. Evenings were a breeze, great choice of restaurants in a safe environment. High standards in the apartment were very much appreciated, booking next year too. Regards, the Silcocks.

Penthouse 36 for Christmas 2015 - Perfect
We rented Penthouse 36 for Christmas 2015. We needed a 3 bedroom apartment in central town close to all the restaurants, supermarkets and more importantly, the Ski Lift. The apartment has underground parking and a lift to the apartment. We found the accommodation very comfortable. The kitchen has everything that we needed. We enjoyed using the fondu one evening after skiing. We like the fact that it is next to the ski lift. No driving or walking far is needed. We enjoyed the balcony with lovely views. Our children liked that the apartment was so central and easy to walk everywhere. The children could get fresh croissants from the shops below before ski school. We would recommend this apartment for its comfort and location. Mrs D Smith, Pamber End, Hampshire.
