Our family stayed at the property for 5 days in August. It was such a relaxing place to stay! There's lots of room for a big group to stay comfortably. We especially loved the great room and the huge picture window overlooking the Marina!
We would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this marvelous house.
It echos yesteryear with joy and caring.
Walk in and immediately enjoy the view of the river through immense windows. The house is immaculate, huge but warm and inviting! Four bedrooms sharing two bathrooms.
Porches upstairs and down, perfect to watch the sunrise.
Fully stocked kitchen and washer and dryer.
Be still and watch the river and maybe the sand hill cranes!
Annamarie. the owner, is a delight, easy to contact and very helpful.
We visited DeLand, a not to miss college town and spent time in Sanford a quaint town with boutiques and great restaurants.
Enjoy your stay!

The charm of this house makes it easy to imagine life in a by-gone era when Florida offered daily adventures shared in nature while visiting your grandparents. The feeling of welcomed hospitality, grandeur and amazing sites right outside the windows. We would recommend sharing in the history of this neighborhood with an enjoyable stay at this location.

My brothers and I met here for the race. The place is very cool right on a canal right before the marina with a very nice outdoor restaurant. The owner let us check in early and showed us through the house.

This house is like being back in old time Florida. The wood gives it a lodge like feel. Very comfortable furniture. I loved sitting on the sofa and watching the nature out of the big picture window. My other favorite spot was sitting on the upper screened in terrace to look over the marsh while drinking my coffee. Annemaria certainly loves her house and treated us very well!

Wonderful owners felt like home, not a cold hotel. Large open area for us to gather.

Annamarie couldn’t be more accommodating, helpful; great communication. Our family’s second time in this Old Florida home. We are multi-generational FL natives and this magical location brings back great childhood memories! It’s rustic and the layout is funky, but don’t let that stop you. Wake up to delightful sounds of nature - a rare find in central FL these days - and enjoy coffee with the wildlife!

I can’t say enough of how easy it was to work with Annamarie! She went out of her way to be sure we were happy! The house was immaculate. It is very private and spacious. It is very close to restaurants. I would absolutely stay there again!!

We had a wonderful time reconnecting with our 4 adult kids and some significant others. It was a sweet time of fellowship and fun in the house and on the river( we brought our boat and were able to dock it out back!) The house was ginormous and beautiful- the pictures don't do it justice but remember she's an original so don't expect super modern amenities, although the property has EVERYTHING anyone could need. We really loved our time here and are thankful to Host Ann Marie and God for finding it for us!

The house was perfect for our three families. The old Florida house and it’s history within was so nice! The waterways near by were also not overran and was fun on our boats. Thank you Annamarie for a great stay.

House is in a great location and has wonderful porches to enjoy the river view. Owners were responsive to requests for help when we had an issue.

We enjoyed our three night stay in this unusual house on a quiet street. The views of the river through an enormous picture window were lovely. The house is divided so that two couples had complete privacy from one another while having ample space to gather in the living room or screened porch. We would all highly recommend this unique place to stay.

My family and I enjoyed bringing in the New Year at this amazing property! The view is breathtaking. The property is as described on the site. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit by the River. The porches are delightful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The new bathroom downstairs is beautiful! We enjoyed fishing from the dock and being able to dock the pontoon boat we rented from Buzz Boats there long enough to change riders and give everyone in our a group a chance to enjoy going for a ride. We had an amazing time and will hopefully be able to go back again. I highly recommend this property. Annemarie is a great host. My family and I thank her very much for sharing her property and allowing us to experience this beautiful place.

Location is great. Bedrooms and bathrooms are not very private for a large party. Convenient to many things , nice large yard. House was not very clean when we arrived. The amenities are good with the exception of the grill tank being empty. Overall I give it a 2-3/4 to 3 stars.

Our family stayed here for my niece's wedding in Osteen. The convenient location was a great central meeting spot for other family members staying nearby. The property description says it all, including the exotic wildlife right outside the impressive two story windows! Allowing my brother's family to hook up their small RV was a special bonus. The trip was a success and we highly recommmend this property!

My siblings and I stayed in the property during Mother's Day weekend. The property was in deed a great location for a family retreat. The old Florida charm of the house made it a comfortable place to unwind. The house was fully equipped to meet our needs. We like to cook some of our meals rather than go out for all of them. The kitchen accommodated us well. The two screened porches were ideal for lounging and watching the wildlife. The location on the St. Johns River was great for creating a peaceful atmosphere. Everything that we needed in area was easy to get to from this location. We were very comfortable staying in the property.
The owner Annamarie was a very gracious host and made our check-in and check-out easy. We appreciate her welcoming us to the property and orienting us to the area. We will put this property on our list of places to visit in the future. Thank You!
I gave the property four stars rather than five because another (3rd) bathroom for our large group would have been an added benefit. I understand that that is coming, so it will hopefully be in place when we consider a future retreat for our group in the area.

Our family of 7 really enjoyed this place. Quiet, secluded street. Able to hear crickets at night. We were in Orlando for a baptism and to visit family near by, so for us the location was perfect. We ate at the german restaurant in Sandford and it was by far the best place we've eaten in over 5 years. A definite must if you are in the are. We really liked that the owner of the house lives across the street in another house. That wasn't clear from the writeup, but we tend to prefer "owner operated" places, and knowing they were also nearby like that was a distinct advantage for us. The architecture reminded me a little of a vermont ski-lodge. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a great place to unwind, relax with a large group of friends or family. The waterfront location is scenic and relaxing. You are only minutes from Sanford Airport. The property is beautiful both inside and outside with an awesome view of the river. We had a great time.

We gave our adult children a vacation together to Florida as a Christmas gift. Our experience here was amazing.
The property was perfect. We spent an entire day in the back yard. There was a swing, a new dock, and we brought in the New Year around the fire pit! My oldest son proposed to his girlfriend. The inside atmosphere was just as accommodating with the large open living/dining room. We could not have been happier. AnnaMarie (host) was most accommodating and made this a fantastic vacation.

This home truly feels like you are stepping back in time. It has a lodge type feel. There are two huge screened porches, my favorite spot, lots of windows to let in the light and view the St. John's River and associated wildlife that was abundant. The kitchen is modern and convenient to work in. There are four wonderful bedrooms off of the screened porches that share a jack-n-Jill bathroom. Easily can sleep 12 or 14 if you don't mind sleeping in the loft area or living room. We had 14 for meals and there was no problem for space. The pictures accurately depict the house and property. Great place to boat, bike, and fish. Floating dock was put in while we were there. Shopping 4-7 miles away. Historic downtown has much to offer, great kids playground.
The owner is very nice and accommodating. We are looking forward to returning in the future for another family holiday reunion. Very relaxing!

Our experience was wonderful and I would recommend this house to anyone. The owner was available but not at all intrusive. The property is absolutely gorgeous, very secluded, and quiet. Wild turkeys, cranes, fish, manatees, and other wildlife made the view out the huge back window even more captivating. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises!! What are you waiting for!!

What a hidden gem and a gracious owner! We stayed for a week with kids and extended family and found this home to be the perfect getaway! Having the marina and yatch club right next door ( far enough away not to impose) was a huge bonus having a pool table and ping pong in addition to a very well kept pool. Rocking chairs on upper porch at night listening to the bull frogs and crickets was one of our personal highlights as the serenity of this location is truely highlighted! We travel as a family often and listings are sometimes hit or miss. I can assure you this home is everything it seems to be and exceeded our expectations! Thank you Annamarie, we will most certainly see you again!
