About this apartment rental

This two storey, three bedroom apartment just oozes class in every square meter. The property is enhanced with the highest quality furniture and fittings but has retained so many original features of the former Fort Augustus Abbey, highlighting the splendid architecture throughout. On entering the apartment your first impression is luxury and elegance. The welcoming hallway leads to the main lounge area and the downstairs bedroom has two single beds and bathroom with a large shower cubicle. The lounge area is open plan and very spacious, the vaulted ceilings and two large windows complement the spacious look. The kitchen is stylish and well-equipped with its granite worktops and central island and is fully fitted. The dining area is open plan and conveniently adjacent to the kitchen.

Via a staircase from the entrance hall the upstairs of the apartment consists of a king-size bedroom with an en-suite and a twin bedroom. There is also a peaceful and tranquil sitting room, all decorated to the highest of standards. The sitting room has a double sofa bed to enable the sleeping of up to 8 guests. As can be seen from the photographs 5 Old School is a fantastic and luxurious property in the beautiful Highland Club in Scotland.

Clean, spacious, well equipped and with comfortable sleeping arrangements. Very nice large open plan, living, kitchen and dining area for hanging out. The Abbey is a wonderful building and we loved the amenities and close proximity to Fort Augustus. WiFi doesn't stretch to the bedrooms but is fine in the main sitting areas. Will come again!

The apartment was stylish, roomy and cosy. Perfect for 2 families, we loved it. Although the water pressure coul use some attention. The whole porperty is fabulous, lovely grounds, great location and facilities for all - would definately recomend to others

Family of 6 (parents, grandparents, and two children (3&6) stayed for 4 nights in Old School 5 at The Highland Club in Fort Augustus. We loved the whole experience and the apartment was very comfortable for the 6 of us. It was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. It was clean and well laid out. Parents and children stayed upstairs and grandparents downstairs. Beds were a little hard but no other complaints. We took day trips from here and tried to get back in time to use the beautiful pool each evening. (closes at 7pm) Fort Augustus itself was a cute little town and had a small grocery store, and a few other stores and restaurants. We ate at The Boathouse (it's right on the grounds of the Highland Club) one night and loved it. We also tried the local take-out fish and chips and would recommend. Our kids loved checking out the huge number of bunnies living on the grounds, the playground, and the nearby locks with lots of boats passing through. All in all we would highly recommend this property and would stay again. Thanks to owners.

We were really impressed with the apartment and withthe customer services! We arrived with the sleeper train and we have asked if we could check in earlier than 4 pm.They've replied immediately to our enquiry saying that the apartment will be ready for us in the morning. We felt very welcome! The apartment is very tastefully made up, with great attention to details. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, cannot recommend enough! It's very conveniently located, 2 min walk to the Loch Ness cruise departure point, 5 min walk to the village centre, 30 min drive to Fort William, 45 min drive to Inverness, 2 hrs drive to Portree (Isle of Skye) so very good location! We'll definitely be staying again! Thank you.
