Great 3 Bedroom Villa within walking distance to the BHI Club and Beach
The villas are homes located in the South Beach setting near the Bald Head Island Club and across the street from a public beach access. Our villa is located at a picturesque, interesting and relatively secluded point where two lagoons converge. The area teems with wildlife, including turtles, many species of coastal birds and often an alligator or two. The eighteenth fairway of the golf course is in the distance on the left.

The property has everything you could possibly need for a week stay. The views are beautiful, abudent wildlife can be seen from the deck to include, fish, several alligators, deer, and various species of birds. The two golf carts were in good condition and held a good charge. The location is perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

The villa has more privacy than most villas. It faces water and greenery. There were numerous birds and huge carp in the pond. The Kitchen is well equipped, three kinds of coffee makers, but does need some new skillets. It's conveniently located and we could hear the ocean at night. The main bedroom is filled with a hugh king bed. The bathrooms are small but there is a tub in one. There needs to be directions available for the television for those of us who are luddites. Some of the windows need screens for those visitors who enjoy fresh air. We would stay here again.

This property is in a great location close to the beach and has a village feel. Our only complaint was the living room furniture needs to be replaced. It’s uncomfortable and really worn. But everything else was awesome.

The villa was great. The views over the water and golf course are amazing. A walk to the beach is only 2 minutes. We went over Christmas and the island was quiet. Our dog loved having the beach all to himself. The villa had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. There's not many places in NC where you can catch a sunset over the ocean, but this is one. We had a great stay. Lessons learned for next time.. the island market is well stocked, so next time we'll shop there or have food delivered instead of hauling groceries.

We had never been to Bald Head Island before, we were looking for a relaxing week away from the day to day grind and we found it here! This property was just about perfect! The house fit our needs for the family and even allowed us to bring along our dog whom is a dear member of our family. The proximity of the house to the beach was perfect, it was pretty close to everything we needed on the island! We had a fantastic trip and I highly reccomend this property!

We had a great time at this property! We saw the alligator across the pond and many different species of birds and fish! We walked to the club and beach. This house was perfect for our family of six (our four you g kids had the loft to themselves so we had an extra bedroom!

The property is in a great location overlooking the golf course but a couple of minutes by cart from the nearest beach access. The property was clean inside and comfortable but requires some minor things to be maintained better. Examples were the main entry door was spattered with mud and the windows onto the deck had not been cleaned in a long while; the vent for the bathroom extractor fan had no cover; the window in the main bedroom didn’t close properly.Contrary to some reviews we found the kitchen was well equipped with a good selection of pans and utensils; lots of glasses but oddly only 2 non matching wine glasses.The property managers were excellent and responded very quickly to any requests; an example being that on Saturday we found the Keurig coffee machine had stopped working; within 15 minutes of my email they dropped off a new replacement machine.

We visited BHI during weekend of Oct 9-11 and found this villa. The location is just absolutely stunning. Great view relaxing facing the lagoon and golf course. Easy access from Ferry terminal as well. Villa is well laid out and was spacious. The biggest issue we faced was cleanliness. Things were very dirty on the outside and in the bathrooms. Lot of dust and dead bugs on the outside doors. We also found a couple of cockroaches in one of the bedrooms. We used our own sheets and pillow covers to be safe. One of the golf carts seemed old and was not clean at all. So we used the other one which was nicer. Took some pictures as well so glad to share. All in all this is am amazing place to come to but it definitely needs a good cleaning to continue to attract guests. You cannot beat the location and ease of check-in.

Bald Head Island was a great destination. The beaches were some of the best on the east coast. Rated 3 stars due to the cons listed below. Pros: Location to beach and BHI club Full kitchen with pots. pans and utensils. Comfortable furniture Plenty of bathrooms Full Washer/Dryer/Dishwasher available for long stays Every window had a fantastic view of the marsh Cons: Interior needs painting Place needs thorough cleaning between guests No landline was available, we didn't have T-Mobile service on the island Golf cart had anemic breaks. You had to brake almost 20 feet before cart stops. Had to wash towels and strip linens before leaving the villa Mattresses in loft area needs replaced

The location of this villa is perfect. It is right across the street from beach access and is convenient to all activities and restaurants on the island. It is in a back corner of the complex so feels secluded and very quiet. If you are a golfer you will love the view off the deck! Everything you would need in the kitchen is there and the living room was well stocked with movies and games for the family. The furniture and decor of the villa is a bit dated but that does not take away from the overall experience.

We spent the weekend in this unit which was a great location and met the needs for our girls weekend. However, as women, we all agreed the unit could really benefit from a deep cleaning to remove cob webs and spiders, and general dirt and debris from corners, windows, upper walls, ceilings, light fixtures, etc. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall and the kitchen utensils could benefit from a good scrubbing beyond the capabilities of the dishwasher. General updates to the unit are needed such as replacing broken blinds, replacing old/ outdated fixtures, deep cleaning or replacing carpet, all to bring the unit a bit more current. The unit met our basic needs but from looking online there are much nicer, comparably priced units that I will rent next time.
