Room for all of us to stay. Close enough to go any direction and see the sights around DC and Baltimore. Highly recommend

It was comfortable and roomy. Exactly what we wanted and expected.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful house. The rooms are very spacious and each has its own bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to start cooking. Fresh milk, fruit and mineral water were there when we arrived. The beds are really comfortable.
8.0
Overall the house was good. It had plenty of space for our large group.
Positives:
* it was a short drive to the metro to get us wherever we wanted to go.
* the house was stocked with some food which I hand never experienced before. (That was awesome)
The not so positive:
*The 5th bedroom wasn’t as advertised. It said it was a queen and twin. But it was a day bed and air mattress.
* The master bedroom shower had mold and I am allergic so I ended up with no voice and breathing issues.
* we couldn’t get any cold water out of the kitchen faucet.
All in all it was fine. They were responsive to messages. All in all nice experience.

This was an amazing location, house was exactly what was shown. This was nice space for two couples with the jr. master suite. There was room for us comfortably. We only had one issue (propane tank on grill needed replaced). Robert was easy to get ahold of and switched it out the next day. Checkin was simple and the door code worked the first time and was given the day before. Robert was so sweet to stock the kitchen with eggs, butter, milk, OJ, soda, bread and bananas. Was handy as we got in late, but could put off the grocerty store until the next day. One thing that I really enjoyed was there was no list of what I needed to do at checkout. No strip the bed, start the laundry... etc. Was only asked to take out the trash and I was fine with that. We always pay a cleaning fee and this time I felt that it was worth it. Location was in the suburbs but close to a metro ($11 Uber) to get into DC and Baltimore only 25 minutes away. A nice backyard to hang out in if you just want a nice getaway. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great place! Plenty space. Everything tip-top. We were about 37min to the national mall. Well worth it for us.

I was very impressed with our stay here. The place was clean and already stocked with essentials. The owner was very responsive, often responding within minutes. The neighborhood was quiet and located close to the Metro for and easy commute into DC. This would be my first choice on return trip to DC hands down. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My friends and I were there for a short vacation. The house was spacious and clean. Good location and away from the busyness of the city. Fridge, cupboards and pantry were stacked with all the essentials. We used the Metro and Uber as our means of transportation. Milk, juice, eggs and bread were an added bonus which would have been awkward to carry on the Metro. National Museum of African American History and Culture is a must see as well as Step Africa.

The house was extremely clean and well stocked with basics which made the stay enjoyable and comfortable. The location was only about 15 minutes from the Metro, which we took daily to go into the city. We found the house quiet and tucked away from the busyness of the city.

Beautiful home as described, host went overboard to help us as we were 8 hours late getting in. Very clean, spacious, and nice to be able to use the garage. All our functions were in DC but even with congested traffic it was only 30-40 minutes. I would gladly book this house again on my next trip.

We have rented from Homeaway/VRBO for 15+ years. Robert’s home was the most equipped rental we have ever stayed in. Coming in from a long trip from Seattle we were tired, thirsty and hungry. We opened the refrigerator and there was ice cold bottled water , soda, juice and other items waiting for us. The house is beautiful, very clean, close to EVERYTHING. Great for 2 like my husband and I, or a family. We went to DC, Baltimore, and Virginia, multiple times during our stay. Did I mention the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom? What a wonderful surprise. Don’t miss out on this gem. Thank you Robert for helping us create great memories.

I was not disappointed in this property. The house was spotless. Plenty of space indoors and out. Robert was quick to respond, even though he was out of town. He also made sure you had the essentials. Home away from home.

Clean, comfortable and relaxing stay in the DMV. Close to metro station and great restaurants.

Robert’s house was a great stay for our visit to Washington, D.C. There was plenty of room for two families of four, for each person to get their own bed. The house was immaculately clean and spacious. Glenmont metro station was 12 minutes away, which had a nice ride into the city. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic communication from the time of booking, clean, great location to visit DC, had all basic necessities, including complimentary items like bread, milk, creamer, etc. Comfy beds, plenty of linens & jetted tub in master was great to soak in after walking all over DC!

One of the nicest houses we’ve ever stayed in. Robert was quick to answer our few questions. The kitchen was great with lots on condiments on hand and the fridge was stocked with breakfast starters. Overall very nice experience.

This is our second stay at Robert’s home. As before - everything was clean and comfortable. The house is well located and quiet. Robert is very responsive and stocks the kitchen with pantry and refrigerator basics and breakfast items. A very generous gesture. 100% recommend!

We enjoyed our week long stay in this beautiful home during a time when we had to evacuate our own home in the area to have some home repairs completed. We found the home very clean and comfortable, and appreciated that it was fully stocked with cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent for the washing machine, and even groceries in the fridge (bread, milk, eggs, orange juice, etc.) Everything we needed was already there! Check in was a breeze with a keypad lock coded to my own phone number, and Robert accommodated us with an earlier than normal check-in. Robert checked in with us occasionally by text and was quick to respond with any questions. Can't think of anything we were disappointed with!

The home is well appointed with loads of room for family. We were visiting local family for Thanksgiving and had plenty of space to relax and a great kitchen to cook in. Robert kindly left us some provisions for breakfast and snacks. A 💯 percent perfect stay.

My family stayed in the property five nights. The roomy, comfortable, and lovely home was immaculate, flawlessly prepared. Communication with Mr. Robert was easy, although we did not need to communicate because everything was perfectly in place. In particular, it was kind of Mr. Robert to have some essential groceries in the fridge and pantry. Cannot imagine one having a better experience. Thank you, Sir, for ensuring my family's early Thanksgiving celebration went off without a single hitch.

A really large property that was well equipped. Robert was helpful with information for the area and had left a bundle of food for when we arrived. There was also a host of condiments, coffee syrups, laundry powder etc, that we didn't use but it was wonderful to have if we needed. We would happily stay again.

Looking for a quiet rest from DC, but not too far.... This is a good one. Car will be necessary to get to trains. Clean and easy accommodations for an extended stay.

Everything about the house is perfect, location, space, facilities. But what makes this house exceptional is Robert. You can tell that he really wants his guests to have a wonderful stay, the house is immaculate and he provided us with far more than we could have ever hoped. Thank you Robert for caring so much, it made our stay

We travelled from the UK to visit the DC area staying at this property for 2 weeks. The location was great and the house was perfect with more than enough space for us. Robert was an absolute pleasure to deal with stocking the cupboards and Fridge with more than just the essentials which was very welcome given our arrival time was 2am. I only needed to contact Robert once during our stay as we found the temperature to hot overnight , I had a response in 10 minutes with everything sorted for the remainder of our trip.
The house is 10 minutes from Glenmont Metro station which we found to be a convenient 30 minute or so journey into downtown DC. We also drove a couple of times to Baltimore to watch the baseball which was only 40 minutes away. Although the house is on a fairly narrow street with no sidewalk I found plenty of running routes through the wonderful Paint Branch Valley.
The backyard is massive and my kids loved running about playing, Plenty of towels were provided and the property was very clean so we would highly recommend.

Few times in our rental houses that we do every year, we had felt in such a comfortable place, quite spacious, clean, and above all, Robert's kindness made us feel at home, his attentions, for example, leaving us some primary food , are of such consideration rarely seen by the host. I could write much more, but in a few words it is better ... Robert's house is an extraordinary place to vacation and feel very comfortable
Thank you very much Robert, for all your attention.
Sincerely
Rogelio and Family

The property was clean, roomy and the exterior and grounds were very well cared for. One of 2 nicest houses on the block but the whole neighborhood was nice and very quiet. Not much for walking as roads were not very wide and some residents parked curbside. Inside was perfect. It is a 2-story with a kind of long, steep stairway. Not enough to stop you but enough to make you think twice whether you really need that thing upstairs near the end of the day. There is a baby gate at the too that you may use if needed. The whole house is baby proofed if you need it. Kitchen is nice, and he left it full of starter groceries. It was so appreciated, a bowl full of fruit, gallon of milk, bread, a box of cereal along with coffee, tea and lots of condiments. Plenty of parking and everybody had their own beds with plenty of bathrooms. The couch in the family area is in the process of being replaced I was told because it is not really usable. Somebody did a lot of heavy jumping on that thing!
Be aware you are not within walking distance of the metro but there is a bus not too far away and Uber to Silver Springs metro was reasonable. It is close enough to restaurants, takeout and grocery stores that do takeout, delivery and instacart. Great place, price was very reasonable, air conditioning was awesome during the hottest time of the year. We would stay again!

This house is much nicer than the photos can show. It was well above our expectations. Robert was great to work with. Check in and check out was quick and easy. All linens were provided as well as some extras such as coffee, snacks, etc. I would definitely stay here again if we go back to the DC area.

This property was very well maintained and stocked with much of the essentials. It also was near one of the Washington DC's metro stations which was very helpful for our group as we were visiting DC every day.

This had all the space we needed for our family. We spent the days out and about, but the evening was spent catching fireflies and watching movies on 1 of the 3 Roku tvs. We slept well and felt like we were right at home!! Thanks Robert!!
10.0
My family really enjoyed this home, and Robert was very easygoing in terms of the check-in and check-out processes. The neighborhood is interesting; the home is on a very narrow street, but the neighbors are friendly and we felt safe taking long evening walks. My only complaint is that I didn't research DC traffic enough beforehand to realize that the short distance between the home and DC still takes a considerable amount of time to traverse. We drove into the city some days (use SpotHero for parking) and used the Metro the rest of the time. Driving in saved us time in the morning, but the commute home was always a nightmare. Metro was more expensive but saved a lot of stress. We preferred the Glenmont station over Silver Spring. Buy groceries at the nearest Giant Foods; we should have listened when Robert advised against Costco because it was a nightmare. Noodle King, just as we turned onto Hollywood, was a big hit.
Overall, the house was great and we would stay there again!

Robert, the property owner gets a 10! The property gets a 10! Communicating with Robert gets a 10!
If you're considering this property, which is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, stop considering and just book it.
Staying here was the most comfortable of all the properties I've stayed at.
The house is very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There's plenty of room so no one feels cramped or too close to each other, unless of course you want to be close. 😄
One night we prepared a fish dinner (go to Ocean City Seafood...about a 15-minute drive...well worth the drive) and all the pots and pans we needed for the preparation were there. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything you need is there. And yes, the microwave, the dishwasher, and all the other appliances do work.
There's no need for me to repeat what is already in the vrbo description. It really is as described. And if a problem were to arise and Robert was contacted, there is no doubt Robert would be very responsive.
Staying here truly is a home away from home.
Now stop reading and book it!

The home was spotless, conveniently located and has everything you will need. All four of us (adults) had plenty of space to spread out when we wanted some "alone" time. I would definitely stay here again!
