Nice summer home on Great East Lake. Quiet sandy beach with rope swing. This home worked perfectly for our group while attending a wedding nearby. Good communication with the owner. I would definitely recommend for
a family vacation or small group of friends.

My friends and I had a delightful time. The place is definitely outdoor living; I had the best room in the house, but the other bedrooms upstairs were a wee bit wee. Downstairs is bunk style, which was just fine for the kiddos. Who spends time indoors when the lake is calling? The kitchen had room enough and everything we needed to cook up meals for eating on the porch or down at the picnic table.
Nancy was a great and communicative property manager, and when issues arose they were quickly resolved. Honestly I was a tiny bit tempted to give a less than stellar review just to keep this gem hidden 😂 but Nancy deserves the five stars.
You probably have to be a lover of the outdoors, in which case this place is magical. And if you're not, I don't speak your language anyway, look elsewhere for a review.
But for the workaholics who can't help but eyeball their inbox, there was *some* AT&T and Verizon service during our stay - just enough for those quick communications that got me back in the water. The library is a couple minutes away if you need to download or send any attachments.
Oh, and the neighbors were rad - great supply of firewood for sale just next door!

Enjoyed a great little getaway at a classic older style place. The location is really fun, peaceful and easy going!

We stayed here with kids ranging from 8 to 11. The camp featured a swinging rope for kids to swing into the water. The fishing was great and a very kind neighbor gave our boy bait and advice on fishing spots. The marine officer gave the kids junior marine patrol badges and everyone in the area waved as they passed and was very kind and welcoming. Nancy answered text messages very quickly. We had a bit of a snafu prior to a check-in with a missing email giving instructions, but everything else went smoothly. You DO want to note that you need to bring your own drinking water. The best part for me was mornings on the top deck, watching the water and listening to the birds and the breeze. Quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. This is a wonderful place for families to come and play and also for quiet mornings alone with your thoughts.

Perfect location on the lake and such a great spot for a father and son weekend! Thanks again Nancy.

This property is beautiful! Amazing views (wish I could post a pic of the lake, beautiful colors) Absolutely loved our stay. Wished our stay was longer. Went for a quiet weekend and relaxing getaway and it exceeded our expectations, Had coffee by the lake and breakfast on the deck. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
House has plenty room for families, we never even used the whole house. Nancy was great to communicate with. She told me everything I needed to know prior to our stay. House is fully stocked. Just brought food and a few supplies.
It is truly technology free, my sister has Verizon and was able to pick up signal with no problems. I had Att and didn’t get any signal at all. But we knew prior to going up.
We can’t wait to come back and bring the whole family this time. Thank you Nancy for sharing your home with us.

This charming, lakeside vacation home is filled with icons of happy memories, and it’s a place where you can make your own too. If you’re looking for low key, this is your spot - we didn’t have much cell reception, and there’s no wifi or TV to get consumed with. We liked it better that way. There’s plenty of cooking equipment, two bathrooms, beds galore (the bottom floor is a simple bunkhouse with a living room, the top floor is a regular cabin with three bedrooms, kitchen, and living room), a charcoal grill, and a terrific fire pit next to the water. Check-in was easy, and the directions were reasonable (please remember that this is a gentle, family house, and living by the Golden Rule is the way to go). We had a wonderful, relaxing, and beautiful time on an unseasonably warm fall weekend.

Property is in great location, cannot beat quiet lakefront fires.

Although anticipated frontage on the bigger Great East Lake, the little cove was cozy (albeit weedy with no place to jump). This may have been an oversight on my part. The home was great but a lot of steep stairs to the main house. No AC in the bottom apartment (bit two industrial size fans). Overall worth a stay

We had a great time at the cottage this summer, second time staying at this house. The spot is fabulous. We loved the large sandy beach area which is great for swimming.
