About this apartment rental
This 2nd floor apartment is located in a 3 story home built in 1888. It is situated in a prime location with a few minutes walk to train/bus to NYC. You can walk to restaurants, bars, convenience store, Whole Foods. Parking for 2 on property.
You have the entire apartment to yourself. You may use the backyard if you wish. (No smoking on property--no cigarette butts left on the ground.) There are two bedrooms, one king size bed and one full size bed. There is a queen size air mattress that can be set up in the living room in 2-3 minutes. It is of high quality from Frontgate and the settings can be tailored to your liking (soft-firm). There is a full kitchen so you stock and cook if you wish; a full bathroom; dining room and living room.
Wifi is included as well as Verizon FiOS television. The apartment is heated in the winter with additional space heaters in the event you prefer it a bit more toasty. It is also equipped with air conditioners that you control for the hot weather.
I live on the property on the first floor with my two dogs. We have never lived in the two apartments above me and the dogs are confined to my apartment. If hearing dogs bark a bit, then I would not recommend this property for you. I just like to be honest and forthcoming;). They would love to meet you if you wanted to;). I work from home a lot and am home most of the time in the evenings. I find comfort and security in them watching over the home. I have many 5 star reviews from another site where I have been renting from for several years.
My goal is to offer you a comfortable and sanitized place to lay your head during your travels. All linens and towels go through a sanitization process to ensure a sparkling clean experience for each guest. No blanket is ever used by more than one guest and right down to the mattress cover. All mattresses are bed bug encased--a precaution on my end as this is my home and I would never want to have an issue like that.
Coffee and teas are stocked for your convenience with various sweeteners. I like to know what your preference is for milk or cream as well as knowing if you would like a bottle of wine or some beer. There is an option to shop in advance and have it delivered so you have things here upon your arrival. Both Whole Foods and Acme deliver and I frequently use them through Instacart.
The side entrance and apartment door is key coded so you can arrive at any time. Codes are changed periodically for safety measures. The side entrance is for both apartments on the second and third floors. The entrance door is located on the side of the home facing West which is the opposite side of the wraparound porch and driveway. There are approximately 15 white deck stairs leading up to the entrance and then about 7 stairs to the second floor landing. I do request that SHOES ARE REMOVED UPON ARRIVAL and require that no shoes are permitted to walk around the apartment. If you knew what was on the bottom of your shoes, you would never wear them in your own house again;).

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Sherry's second floor condo. It had easy a chess through the side door and parking in a roomy lot behind the house. There was also a large fenced in yard my kids loved exploring.
The unit itself was clean and inviting. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and Sherry generously stocked it with plenty of drinks. The dining room table worked well for our 2 kids to do distance learning and the wifi was totally adequate for 4 of us to stream as needed. The living room was also very big so there was space for all of us to spread out. The bathroom is conveniently private and away from all the other spaces for privacy. Thankfully for us, Whole Foods is a 2 minute drive or 7-8 minute walk away, very close, so we could get necessary staples and prepared foods. There are also shops and restaurants in walking distance. We spent a week there and would highly recommend. Sherry was very responsive to emails and we spoke several times on site as well.

I couldn't have been happier with my stay!
Beautiful tulips and chocolates greeted me upon arrival, and I was happy to discover the apartment was very cozy and SPOTLESS.
Both beds were extremely comfortable, the neighborhood safe, and Whole Foods was close by.
There's a comfy couch and a big screen TV, a dining room for those that want to cook and eat in, and a large well-appointed kitchen.
Sherry was a lovely host, available if I had a question but also respectful of privacy.
I highly recommend this apartment, you won't be disappointed!
