About this cabin rental
With breathtaking views of the Kenai River Mouth, Beach and Cook Inlet, this newly remodeled cabin is in the perfect location. Situated in the heart of the peaceful and picturesque Kenai Old Town, you will be within easy reach of all amenities, whilst still being a few minutes’ walk from the beach and river mouth. The cabin has a luxurious sleeping loft (ladder access only) with a California King sized bed, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin has a front porch and outdoor furniture, for you to sit and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Beluga whales can sometimes be spotted in the Inlet. We are in a fantastic spot for dip net fishing, and the cabin is fitted with an outdoor fish cutting table and chest freezer.
Note: We have no means of disposing of fish carcasses from the property. The City of Kenai requires that fishermen dispose of fish carcasses in the water at the beach. Secondary processing, washing, vacuum sealing and freezing of fish fillets can be done outside the cabin, which is equipped with a covered, lit, outdoor area with running water, power, a fish cutting table and small chest freezer. However, fish may only be brought INSIDE the building for cooking, small amounts of filleted fish only. ALL fish processing must take place outside, using the facilities provided. Any sign or odor indicating fish processing has taken place inside the cabin will put 100% of your damage deposit at risk. It is not our intent to withhold your damage deposit but you are NOT allowed to bring fish into the cabin! And if you chose to ignore this rule you may sacrifice 100% of your deposit.

I cabin was great. Very clean and had anything we needed.
We cooked dinner just the last night we stayed it is a small kitchen, but was just perfect. Very quiet neighborhood. The view from the front porch was beautiful.

Our stay at the Bluff of Kenai River cabin was absolutely phenomenal! The cabin itself is a cozy and charming log cabin nestled on the Kenai bluff. Waking up to breathtaking views of the Kenai River and the surrounding mountains was purely majestic.
The location of the cabin is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. It's just a short drive to hiking trails, fishing spots, and other recreational activities. We went kayaking, hiking, and simply enjoying the peace and beauty of the surroundings.
Overall, our stay at the Bluff of Kenai River cabin was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful and picturesque getaway in Kenai.

This cabin is cute, and quaint and very clean. However for 3 adults we were very uncomfortable. Seating was not adequate in the cabin. The fish processing area is a non starter. There is a covered area that looks wonderful. There is a small cut hose but did not see where to hook the hose up to. The freezer is rusted and sitting on the side of the cabin with no cord. There is no fish processing equipment as listed.
The walk to the beach is a distance.
It was easy check in and check out. The place is perfect for 2 people.
I thought it was closer to the beach then what it really is. Also was planning to be able to process and freeze our fish outside. I have mixed feelings about this location.

We absolutely loved the little Cabin in Kenai. It had plenty of room for the 2 of us and we loved the cozy feel and the view is incredible. We would have loved a small loveseat in the living room but we enjoyed our time and would love to visit again!!

It was great, the view beautiful and very convenient for what we had to do. Wish it had a few more security lights around property, and a proper walk path to cottage, but other than that everything was fantastic, I highly recommend this place to any couple trying to get away.

We rented this cabin for three nights to fish the Kenai river. Tiny, but sufficient for our needs. And the view is incomparable!

Everything you need to stay is there. Was surprised that the windows don't open in the cabin and with no ac it was a bit warm in the loft. Fan helped move air but it was raining and we couldn't open the door for air exchange. Very cute place and very clean. Would be great if you could park a little closer because hauling all our luggage in the pouring rain over the lawn was a bit messy.

We loved this cabin! It is set in the perfect location in Old Town Kenai. It's on a bluff overlooking the beach and is within walking distance of restaurants and tourist sites. There is even a fish cutting station off to the side of the cabin.
I left something in the cabin and the owners even mailed it back to me. This place is great for a fishing weekend or just a getaway. Highly recommended!

Wonderful cabin with stunning views of Cook Inlet and Mt. Redoubt. Right next door is a coffee shop and nice scenic Old Town Kenai to walk through. I would stay here again, it's lovely.

I truly enjoyed my stay in the Petersen Cabin. It was very clean and neat with all the amenities. Emma was especially gracious and if we had any questions (even after hours) we received a reply almost immediately. The view is simply breathtaking and the people were very friendly. The cabin sits on the bluff and there is a path and walking bridge to the beach. Old Kenai is full of history and it was very interesting to learn. I would definitely recommend taking advantage of this opportunity!

Peter or Emma were always there to help as needed. This modern cabin is perfect for one or two people that are able to climb a nice ladder to the loft bedroom. The view of the Kenai River is spectacular, and being just steps away from the beach for dipnetting was perfect. The freezer and fish cleaning table were also great. Thanks for a great stay!
