This listing is for Night Heron's EAST AND WEST Units together, for a total of 12BR (2x6BR), sleeping 36.
We own both the the Night Heron, East Unit, and the Night Heron, West, Unit, which you can book separately, or you can book them together as a 12BR, sleeping 36, as the Night Heron, East & West! Private pool PER SIDE! However you choose to slice and dice it, it will be a great stay! There is a hotel-style connecting door on the main level in the living room!
BRAND NEW in 2021. High end features and furnishings. Awesome open floor plan on main level. Well accommodated kitchen with island.
LOCATION!
Walkable to Bahama Bob's, Hangout, so much more! Convenient to walk to ice cream, Island Outfitters (right across 4th street!), beverage store, Italian ice, and more! 10 minutes walk to the Hangout, 2 minutes to Bahama Bobs (we are EAST of Bahama Bobs). So close to everything, yet in your own private duplex, whether you rent one side, or both, you get your own private pool (TWO if you rent both sides!). No sharing unlike condos etc!
POOL?
You bet. Private PER SIDE! EACH UNIT has its OWN private pool. No sharing.
Added a propane gas pool heater, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 82' (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a per night surcharge for length of stay (gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. Any online quote will show the optional fee and its current pricing. You may also add it after booking by simply requesting the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. See our FAQ about heatable pools too.
Each side of the Night Heron sleeps 18 in beds. NO SLEEPER SOFAS

We added an extra fridge in an outside storage area. Pull up, unload. Done. Need a beverage while at the pool? Walk over to your fridge without having to trek inside. Full size extra fridge!
BEACH ACCESS
Beach access could not be easier! The 4th Street public beach is right across the street. How do you get there? Walk out the door, go to to the stop light in front of the property, push button, and cross the street! No crossing random places or getting yelled at for short cutting through private property!
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for 4 cars per side (2 under the side, 2 in front of the side). Additional overflow parking is available a few blocks away if needed and by request.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.

We rented two houses side by side. The units were clean and were just as advertised. They connected well, seemed like one large 12 bedroom house. Short walk to the beach.Pools were very nice and clean. We would recommend this rental to any family.

This is one AMAZING house! Everyone was in awe and had a splendid time. It was just perfect that there were doors that opened up to each side making it just one large house for everyone to move freely. Now we are onto planning for the next reunion in 2 years!

Everything went well, you have a very nice home. We didn't play well this week, but we have a good team that should do well in the state.... Overall, the house was really nice and accommodates our team nicely. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Oh my goodness is an understatement! We had THE BEST time! When we saw your place online, we were apprehensive at first because you never know if it will look like the pictures... Boy did it exceed our expectations! The overall design, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the balconies, the pool, the amenities... EXCEPTIONAL! You thought of everything... an ice maker!!!! We would definitely stay again and hope to do so. The management company sent me text messages and emails with codes and information which was so helpful. They even called one day to check in with us to make sure everything was good, very impressed with their service. The whole experience was fantastic! We wanted to do something special this year to celebrate, and your place was PERFECTION! The weather was absolutely beautiful as well, we just could not have asked for a better time so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for providing a wonderful place for us to enjoy our family.

We had an amazing trip. The houses were really lovely-in great shape and we appreciated them coming to check on the water leak. Next year we're on the hook for Thanksgiving in Knoxville, but sometimes we go to the gulf for summer trips. I'll go direct to the bamabeachouses site when we do! Thanks for all the great info and emails. The communication was great... we really had a wonderful week.

We had a great time!! The Night Heron was absolutely beautiful from inside to out and perfectly located between TWO liquor stores! LOL! Of course the Pearl spoiled us giving us beach access! Can you just by the condominium across from the Heron and knock it down? Hahaha! Only kidding! We absolutely loved the convenience of having a fridge on the bottom level for drinks by the pool!! We look forward to booking with you again very soon! You guys are always so pleasant to deal with and of course you have the prettiest homes! Prayers for a smooth hurricane season and minimal to no damage to any of your homes!

Our family decided to change up our smoky mountain retreat to do a beach trip this Thanksgiving. It was fun to do something different in the off-season, and these two connected houses were a great choice. We had a group of 35 people of varying ages and physical strengths, so having the two kitchens and different levels of living space was ideal. Both kitchens were well stocked and the houses were clean. The rental company did very well at communicating and sending emails before about the check-in process and things to do locally. To get to the beach, you can easily cross at the light on W. Beach Blvd., and then it’s just a short walk across a parking lot from there. We were worried that all of our cars wouldn’t fit, but there’s a lot of space under the house and in the gravel lot to accommodate them all. We had a great trip, and we would return again.

There ended up being 32 of us stay here and there was plenty of room, easy access to beach, walking distance from several shops and places to eat. It was easy to comminicate with property manager, we hwd 2 issues. 1 was water that she fixed within 20 minutes of call. And unfortunately the washer needed a new part but she did someone out promptly to try to fix. We had both sides so no big deal. We had a fantastic vacation and this is where we will stay again!

We had our family vacation at this home in the gulf shores and we had such a fun time. We had people ranging from the ages of almost 1- 60 and everyone enjoyed it!
We did bring a gate for the stairs and I would recommend so if you have littles. Overall, we had a great stay!

Location is fabulous. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants!
House was new and beautiful! We had a few minor hiccups (like a flickering light bulb in our bedroom), after a quick text they came out immediately and fixed it! Management easy to work with!
We rented both sides and had 25 people. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoyed the shared backyard!

We had a group ranging 4 months to late 60s. Everyone had a great time. House was clean and great size. Having the door between to make it like it was one big house was perfect!! Great location to go to the beach and beach area wasn’t ever too busy to find a good spot. We had one small issue that the owners handled quickly and I only mention it because they were so fabulous at taking care of it. I would highly recommend bringing baby gates if you have any young ones in the group. Stairs are slippery and steep.

The house is beautiful and the side by side worked well for our family. 22 of us stayed in the house comfortably. The house is located across the street from the beach and within walking distance from several places to eat and souvenir shops. Although nested between 2 liquor stores, we had no issues with passer bys during our stay.

House worked out great. Had a big group, 30+, and everyone had space. There is a large flight of stairs to get into the house and we had a few with that didn't do steps so well but that was the only thing mentioned. Great stay.

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a place that all of us could get together at once for Christmas and I can across this place. We rented both sides and had a great time.

We rented the East and West house and it was perfect for our extended family of 21. Fantastic location and very detailed and thorough communication with owners. No problems what so ever with our stay. Would definitely recommend!

This was our 33 annual Crazy Horse golf trip, we had 22 guys and the 2 houses suited us very well. We had groups hanging on the beach, pool and balcony each evening after golf. We are making plans to return next year.
