It’s a beautiful home outside, renters haven’t been gentle with it but very room. We checked in early as we were told then upon arriving and unloading told it wasn’t available for us due to plumbing issues and wanted to put a party of 16 in a motel or another house over an hour away. However they were nice enough to let us stay as we agreed to not use one restroom. We scooped water out of sink daily because it would fill up. We did this because it was easier than leaving and so close to the beach. It truly needs TLC but great location. I don’t think it was cleaned prior to our arrival nor did they offer the cleaning refund.

This home was absolutely perfect for a beach weekend! It was clean and the host was very responsive. Plus it was a short walk to the beach! I would recommend this rental to everyone!!!

Every year a group of us take a trip to crystal beach and this house was definitely the worst we have stayed in so far. Sand on the floors and in the bed, no propane for fire pits, hot tub was full of sand and not covered when we got there so it was full of bugs as well, we requested the 2 roll out beds that they said they could have available for us on arrival, did not have those and they never brought them, when we called about any issues they would hang up and when i text they didnt respond, blood stains were found on the sheets, the wifi password was wrong, outside seating and lawn was dirty. definitely would not use vacasa or this house again.

This house is incredible! The size, the amount of space, the beds, and the outdoor areas were all so far above what I could have hoped for. The proximity to the beach (about 100 ft) was perfect. No golf cart or truck needed. My friend was married at the wedding venue right next door so it was the perfect location! My friends and kids and I had the best time! Would definitely book it again!!

The house is wonderful in itself. The problems we had, were not. The amount of mildew in the house has rendered my entire family very sick. The stench is terrible. Also, a big sugar ant problem. We’re are clean people and still they were out and about. Babies got bit of course. The hot tub was unkept. Super cloudy and also reeked of mildew. If these issues were fixed, this would be the perfect place.

The property was beautiful including the view. The beds were extra comfy! Kitchen was stocked enough. That's what I want my master bath to be! Here's the bad - my son gouged the bottom of his foot on a nail that was sticking up first day. The jacuzzi was full of bees and they were everywhere. While we could have gone and bought spray to get rid of the bees there is no way to clean them out of the bottom of the jacuzzi along with all the sand from the previous guests. Lastly and not as important but something to note the ice maker doesn't work.

Extremely happy with the location and amenities offered. Only negatives where no propane for the outside fire pit and since I booked thru VACASA they where not able to replace it. Having a way to contact owners or reimburse for refill would be handy. And a few more towels would be nice. Overall we loved it. Plenty of space, beds in all rooms where Extremely comfy. Margarita maker was nice to have. Deck and lower level lounging spaces where amazing. Definitely would book again.

This house is beautiful and has just about anything you might need. One thing I don't understand is why a home that sleeps so many has so very little seating in the living area. It's not just this rental property, the majority of the places we've stayed were also lacking adequate seating. The location is a short walk away from the beach where we found many amazing shells. Be aware that there are very few restaurants on the island and expect long waits to be seated. Overall our stay was wonderful and we'll definitely be back.

We showed up to the power being out- not the owners fault, but due to bad weather. We got power back around 10 pm that night. For future renters, keep in mind that they ONLY supply 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 3 dishwasher tabs and 3 kitchen garbage bags and 3 black garbage bags. What that means, is regardless of how long you will renting this home for, you have to buy your own paper towels, soap for the dishwasher , toilet paper and trash bags. I have been renting vacation homes for over 15 years, and have NEVER had to bring my own toilet paper or dishwasher soap or trash bags. We stayed at this house from Friday to Wednesday, and ran out of these things on day 2. In my opinion, if you are renting out a vacation home, you should provide these things or note on the listing that the renters will have to bring these items along with them. The last thing I will mention that I did not like is that there were no instruction booklet. In every house I have ever stayed in, there is a binder with instructions. How to run/take care of the hot tub, how to leave the linens and just general instructions on the house. This is a beautiful house, very spacious and we had a good time .

First let me preface my review by saying this is a lovely house in a great location and we would definitely consider staying here again. There were just a few little things that could use some attention. I’ve stayed in a lot of houses, condos, etc. and the one thing that I feel is most important is to have an instruction sheet or notebook with any home and clean-up instructions including Wi-Fi password, restaurant recommendations, grocery stores, things to do in the area, etc. Thankfully, I’m very familiar with the area. However, I wasn’t familiar with the hurricane doors, how to turn on the fireplace, Wi-Fi, hot tub, and no instructions as far as what we were responsible for cleaning up, trash, what to leave thermostat on, etc. Again thankfully we’re seasoned travelers and probably left the house cleaner than it was when we arrived. Now, having said all of that, I do believe the prior renters were massive partiers and left the house in a huge mess including a few broken things and some “trash” we found. I think the clean-up crew did the best they could with the time they had considering we heard they even had to move furniture to clean up after the prior renters. The kitchen counters and floors were still a bit sticky. CONS: fire pit wasn’t working (we were notified prior), hot tub was cold (no instructions for it but we googled it), we replaced 4 light bulbs in the house, jets in master bath didn’t work, and there also could have been more bath towels but we had a washer and dryer. Again, nothing that ruined our stay. 😊 PROS: Beautiful, spacious house, nice size bedrooms and bathrooms, and loved the upstairs area!. Well stocked kitchen - things were a little in disarray but it wasn’t an issue. Beautiful wraparound deck with great views, short walk to the beach, nice downstairs area, front and back staircase with locking gates; great for pets and children. Convenient to the Big Store, golf cart rentals, a few restaurants, and donut shop. 15 miles from the ferry landing to Galveston. The staff was VERY attentive to our needs and even came over and showed us how to work the fireplace and hurricane doors! THANK YOU SO MUCH. We booked our family here for our son’s small beach wedding (7 of us total) and it was PERFECT! Overall it was a great experience once we figured everything out. Would still highly recommend and would stay here again!

This beach house was beautiful. It’s great for a large group. About the only down fall was the gas fire place was not working and would have been really nice for our stay in the fall. And no gas in the fire pit. We had to go buy that.The hot tub was great but did have sand in it. Could have used a few more towels in the master bedroom. Tvs don’t have cable but that was posted we just didn’t see that until we got there.But would stay here again for sure.

The view of the beach is great! We love the layout of them home and the outdoor spaces. The porch area has plenty of seating with a stunning view from all sides. The living room and kitchen is perfect for entertaining a large group. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities to cook a gourmet meal. The master suite and bathroom is amazing! The upstairs bunk loft is perfect for kids or extra guests complete with queen beds, large tv, and full bathroom. The beach is just a short walk from the house and also includes golf cart access. We will definitely back again! It’s perfect!
