The beautiful wood log interior and the large windows for viewing the yard which had abundant wildlife, especially deer. It was the perfect spot for our vacation.
This was the best vacation we’ve had in WV. Your team was friendly, helpful and available. Top rate!

I was not pleased with the responsiveness (lacking) of Matt, the owner. It took some time for him to answer questions. It would have been helpful to know what to expect in the house in order to pack items or not, especially with holiday cooking. When we arrived, there was no space heater in the mudroom and a call was made about it, but no one ever answered the message. I'd say that's a little weird. Other than that, the house met our needs (but I did purchase a potato peeler and left it there) and was beautiful, both the window views and location. Our biggest problem was the heat was very inconsistent throughout the house and difficult to control. It was very cold, but would sometimes get too warm close to morning. I would set it at 69, and it would read 72 (!), but it wouldn't heat up in the evening. We were concerned that the upstairs bedroom was too cold for our baby grandson, so he ended up sleeping in the downstairs room under the stairs with his parents, because it seemed the warmest of the bedrooms.

Mountain Top Realty relocated us to what they considered a comparable property when a water problem at our original house came up and it became uninhabitable until fixed at a later date.
We ended up at Ardmorar. Never again. No air conditioning so we opened the windows, makes sense right? Wrong! We ended up with hoards of flies and spiders in our bedrooms because the screens didn’t fit properly. We had to buy fans to circulate the air. The hot tub was dirty and the cover for the hot tub was destroyed and moldy. Yuck. The closets were full of old bedding, blankets and towels..all on the floor and not usable. The carpets smelled musty and damp. The outside deck area was filthy with green algae and so many cobwebs. We only stayed two nights and then had to find another house. We ended up paying for both houses because Mountain Top Realty would not refund any of our money for the atrocious Ardmorar property. Lesson learned!
For the amount of money charged I was expecting nicer accommodations. This house needs some organization, a deep clean, and at least a couple of window ac units.
Goodbye Mountain Top Realty and your subpar cleaning crew.

Stress buster..property was surrounded by trees and it was calm and deers gives guest appearance . They allow people inside the property only if you have the car pass that makes you feel you are in secured place. Highly recommended.. Matt was very supportive and responded to all the queries. It was easy to reach him and he responded immediately to our queries
