This house is short but gorgeous drive outside of Manatou Springs. A quiet, fabulous respite from the crowds in all the attractions, large and laid out well for good breathing space. Loved chilling in the Adirondack chairs after a long day out and about.

Great location for visiting Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs attractions.
Comfortable bed. Large shower.

Location is perfect and beautiful. Great host and property! Our 2nd year here at this property and we will continue to come here every year. Very clean and organized!

There was no bedding for the pullout bed. There was no dish rag or scrubbing device to wash pots by hand. Made sleeping arrangements difficult and dish cleaning difficult.

Great location to get to town, and quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the wooded area And how simple it was to get too many locations

Great place! Close to everything that you would want to do in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs. House is super clean and well maintained. Outside seating area is a great spot to hang out after a long day of hiking. Definitely will book again!!

We loved the location of this property! So close to where we wanted to go but also a secluded mountain feeling. Plenty of space for 6 people and the balcony had an amazing view!

Property was all as advertised & dealing with host was a pleasure. Our little Yorkie enjoyed the hillside in back but he so wanted to chase the deer! Especially enjoyed the front balcony view.

Lovely house. Nowhere to safely walk as its on a busy road.
Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as my husband fell down the stairs coming back from the bathroom (he didnt switch on the lights and was half asleep. Communication with the owner to let them know, was impossible through VRBO (not their fault) and I didn't have their phone number.
Overall, the house was lovely. Could do with more comfirtable patio furniture on the balconies as it was great to sit out, just seating wasnt that comfy.

Perfect little cabin for a getaway to the mountains! Clean and had all the little things we needed for a wonderful vacation.

The location is ideal. The duplex unit is friendly. The hosts are very considerate with amenities provided (i.e. decent mattress and stocking some household goods) and their description is accurate. You are close to attractions in the area; yet, feel far away from civilization. We had a wonderful vacation there.

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay here and the home was perfect for us. It was equipped with everything we needed. We loved that it was nestled in the trees and that we could easily pick up food or anything we needed in Manitou Springs. We would definitely stay here again! Many thanks to the hosts!

It was a nice stay. Sofa is not comfortable and had to take a coffee pot

The location is near Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak but felt remote & away from the crowds. The home is nicely furnished and comfortable however the highway is nearby & you can hear traffic day & night. There are a couple of different outside areas - we especially enjoyed the 2nd floor balcony with the view. The kitchen could use additional items like more than just one small sauce pan, serving spoons, a drip coffee maker and ice cube trays (ice maker didn’t work). The door lock was a code which was convenient but I would have liked to have an inside bolt for security at night to know that someone couldn’t come in if they have the code.

We primarily picked this spot due to the price and there was not a weight limit for our dog. The gate that is pictured is not present, so we couldn’t let our dogs walk around the yard as hoped, and there needs to be a couple more bath towels and kitchen towels. Other than that, this spot was an excellent stay, well maintained, and the views from the balcony are gorgeous. If you have any concern about being next to someone, the only time we could hear our neighbors were if we happened to be in the bathrooms at the same time, you could hear the toilet flush. If you’re in the area, I would highly recommend this listing!

We enjoyed our stay and definitely would rent again if in the area. Inquiries with the landlord was prompt.

We enjoyed our stay. I think the living room could use a recliner but otherwise everything we needed was there. The drive to the house left me speechless, its beautiful!! Check out Ferns Diner and The Pantry if you are hungry.

Property was just as described. Home worked well for our family with children. Location was great, making trips to sight-see a breeze. Weather was hot (96) during our stay and the house has no AC. This was not an issue, plenty of fans available - opened windows at night and closed them in the AM. House felt comfortable and cool. Having in house laundry is a great perk!
Could use some mixing bowls (and pepper) but made do. Thanks for the great home base!

My wife and I stayed here over a quick weekend getaway. The house was great, and one of the more comfortable beds I have used at a VRBO. The location was perfect and were very comfortable. This place is a 10

This was a great condo and just the perfect size for our family of six (although sharing one bathroom is always interesting ;) ). Lots of space and everything we needed was provided, even things I didn't think about. There was slight issue the first night in not being able to find extra bedding for the sofa bed, but Jonathan very quickly replied and reached out to help us out! It was located literally at the base of the Pike's Peak highway which was so convenient and right off Hwy 24 which either took us up the mountains or into Colorado Springs. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!

Awesome place right at the base of Pikes Peak. You have neighbors, but mine were respectful and didn’t affect our stay in the slightest. Very close to Cave of the winds and Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and obviously at the base of Pikes Peak which is great if you’re trying to beat the line early which does build quickly. Easy to use electronic lock which was nice not to worry about a key. Enough beds for my three kids, my mom, and my wife and I to sleep comfortably. I would recommend bringing your own pillows for the master bedroom. They aren’t bad pillows, but they are very thick and dense which some may like. We ended up using them as body pillows which worked out really well for the kids. Overall well kept, and a great place to stay!

Really wonderful space! Large enough to feel like a home away from home. Great views from the two balconies. Very private location. 15-20 minute drive to get groceries, pharmacies etc. The drive up to the house was simply amazing! Close to outdoor recreational spaces. Bed we slept in was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, with two sinks. The upstairs open space would be perfect for someone who needed to catch up on work. Laundry was a breeze with the newer washer/dryer. Downsides: No drip coffee maker, just a Keurig and French press. The kitchen was not fully equipped, lacking kitchen essentials like more than one small pot, tablespoons, scissors, wooden spoons, mixing bowls, and saran wrap/tin foil. The outdoor space was quite small and therefore not well suited to our large dogs. There was no grass, just pine needles and rock. The yard was not completely fenced in which wasn't an issue for our dogs, but could be for others.
We went to Fern's restaurant just down the street and the Burrowing Owl which is farther away; would highly recommend both to anyone out there who is vegan/vegetarian. We stopped off at High Roast Coffee for fresh roasted coffee beans, which we highly recommend. Also stopped off at Wimberger's German Bakery; their baked goods were simply to die for!!

The location is prime for outdoor activities. The property manager was available for all my questions and very flexible. I will definitely rent from them again.

I loved the trees around this place even though the weather kept us from sitting outside. It was very close to some local restaurants, but was just far enough back to have no one around you and the way the unit next door was situated, no one could see in the windows. It was an easy and beautiful drive into Colorado Springs but also was a beautiful drive up in the mountains. It was nice to be able to use the washer and dryer and really the place had almost everything you would need. I think its a fairly new rental and so has not accumulated some of the extra items that are nice to have in a kitchen but we made do. The electric kettle was great for us as we are tea drinkers. The large bathtub was great for a relaxing bubble bath. The bed is comfortable, but the pillows were thick and hard. Thankfully there were softer pillows in other bedroom but if you have a larger party you might want to bring your own. Overall the place was very clean and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and would return should our plans bring us back to this area again.
Kelly and Jonathan are very pleasant hosts and we had no difficulty reaching out to them. Check in was simple.
Our only question involved the water and we were assured that the tap water was fine to drink and that the water/ice from the refrigerator was filtered.
As we arrived at this location, our weary bones were welcomed into this typical old-style period home with snacks that Kelly and Jonathon provided and for which we were very grateful after a very long day on the road.
The stay here was very quiet and peaceful in this remote area as we enjoyed the whole duplex area to ourselves and the wildlife.
The bathtub deserves a 5-star rating by itself! Bring your bath salts and bubble bath and relax your worries and aches away because you are in for a treat if you enjoy a nice long, hot soak.
The King Size bed I cannot comment on because I slept so good I have absolutely no recollection of sleeping. There are also plenty of ceiling fans upstairs. The window shades in the home are very easy to push up and pull down.
There are two sizeable balconies upstairs which would be very pleasant in warmer months.
Downstairs is an open floor plan but it still feels separated. We enjoyed our breakfast in the dining area and the kitchen is fairly well equipped and includes a full spice rack. If you are planning on something special, ask Kelly or Jonathon or bring your own, which is what we did. There is a laundry/utility room off the kitchen.
We took the Cog Railway to the top of Pike’s Peak and enjoyed the relatively new visitor center; we then took the highway to the top the next day which was opened to the summit; we also took a trip to Cripple Creek; we took several trips down into Colorado Springs but always looked forward to returning to our Pike’s Peak home.
Thank you Kelly and Jonathon and best wishes to you both … Happy Trails!!

Should be a note about steep driveway and snow smallest car couldn’t make it the master lock on the door was a little confusing with the key pad and the oven was not clean we had an okay stay but couldn’t watch most tv bc of a “parental password” which was quite frustrating

This place was perfect for our family to set up base. It was so close to everything we wanted to do! There was an awesome Little Rock shop just down the road and could head up to Pikes Peak in the other direction. Also really easy to get to! We would definitely recommend!

We had a great experience staying here. Everything is just a few minutes away garden of the gods, pikes peak, the North Pole, the cave dwellings, manitou springs, the dinosaur resource center which my kids loved. Even though it’s close to lots of attractions it’s also pretty secluded and peaceful. We saw lots of deer and other wildlife passing through the area. We enjoyed the stay so much we decided to extend it and the host was very responsive to all questions and concerns we had. All issues were immediately resolved and they even explained to us how the TV worked because it’s different than we’re used to. All the light switches are labeled which is very helpful and the kitchen is also very organized and labeled so everything was easy to find. We stayed the week of thanksgiving and we did a lot of cooking in the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and everything was very clean. There’s a few areas to sit outside, relax and enjoy the scenery. There’s a grill outside that we also used to barbecue. We didn’t wanna leave. We will definitely consider this rental anytime we come back to visit.

The property was well equipped, clean, and very nice! Hosts were very responsive and gracious, and our time spent there was simply wonderful. The location was beautiful, as was the entire property. We're already looking to book this again next year.

This cute little duplex in the woods at the base of Pikes Peak Highway provides a sense of seclusion while close to all the local attractions. There is space for 7 to sleep and if you don’t mind sharing the large bathroom it is sufficient. However, there is only a single couch in the main living space that will seat 3. During my stay most of the necessities were provided however I did not find a hot pad for cooking but who wants to cook while on vacation.
