Enjoyed the stay with 5 adults and 4 kiddos, plenty of room for all of us. View from the house was gorgeous. Would recommend!

This house is three stories tall has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. We had a group of six people, so it met our needs for the weekend. It has a beautiful view of the water from the back patios and is nestled down a private dirt road for maximum privacy. The furnishings appear to be Mix and match of whatever they had available. And we did not use the outside patio areas or fire pit.

We had a perfect experience at this lovely home. Comfortable and clean with a great view. We woke up every morning and enjoyed our coffee while enjoying the water views and the sprawling property. The duraflame logs were a nice touch as it made our vacation time more cozy by the fire. Highly recommend, will definitely go back again.

My first visit to this area in WA and did not disappoint!!! Was blown away by the nostalgic and cozy accommodations of Cedar House. Well located close to quaint beaches and superb walking trails. Coffee shop, wine tasting and general store walking distance. We most loved sitting out in the deck with coffee in the morning and soaking in the serenity of the environment - to our delight spotting Bald Eagles and Humming Birds daily. The kitchen was very well-outfitted, perfect for our needs as we enjoyed a few nights cooking in. But also LOVED the abundance of charming restaurants in the area! The owners provided wonderful recommendations. The SONOS sound system was a major plus and we appreciated the tasteful clean simplicity of the decor. We will definitely return to this magical place - it really feels like a home away from home!

We loved our stay at Cedar House. The house was clean, comfortable and chic! The location is great, close to everything you’d want to experience on the island from beaches to restaurants.
We’ll definitely be back!

Upon entering the house, there was not the usual "WOW" from the many VRBO homes I have rented.
PROS: Nice ambience outside; views of the Sound, beautiful decks surrounded by trees, gas grill, fire pit; Wood burning stove; 2 water view bedrooms;quiet location
CONS: 59 degrees throughout house upon arrival; Cobwebs in windows, dirt under beds & bathroom sink;dusty shelves & dirty windows; other guests' clothing & dirty towel left in laundry room, open wall hole in bedroom with spider webs/debris on floor, dining table sticky, wood storage area by fireplace full of wood debris with unlockable outside opening allowing access to the living room; dirty heater vents & bathroom door. Requested assistance with kitchen lights, non-working shower, locating heat controls for living/dining room heat (there were none); non-working TV, cleaning cobwebs & insufficient lighting in living/dining rooms.lamps above fireplace covered in paper? Response time was quick but nothing was resolved. No offer to send maintenance/cleaning crew other than to bring by some extra lamps; we were then told a plumber was to repair shower but not until 9 days later. Lower bathroom had toilet/shower, no sink to wash hands. The host kept apologizing. They stated appreciation for bringing this to their attention. They were sorry to hear of the underlying issues we were experiencing. They asked if we wanted staff to intervene-I said Yes, but no one came. This was the most disappointing VRBO experience ever.

"My husband and I, accompanied by our friends, recently enjoyed our stay at the Cedar House on Holmes Harbor. Our say was related, comfortable and rejuvenating thanks to the exceptional accommodations. We highly recommend this Whidbey Island lodging, The spacious three-story house is charmingly rustic but well appointed surrounded by towering cedar trees that frame a view of Saratoga Passage and the rugged peaks of the Cascade Mountains. In the main room handcrafted cedar furniture and comfortable leather easy chairs face a stone hearth of a wood-fired cast-iron fireplace. The high ceiling is supported by large old growth beams polished to a golden hue. Large windows wrap around the first floor. For entertainment the house is we-fi wired and has a Sonos sound system and large screen TV. Doors open to a large well-built deck with cushioned seating, a table that seats 10, and a grill/BBQ unit. A quick walk away is the Greenbank Pantry offering a spectacular charcuterie and cheese selection. Down the hill is hiking trails of the historic Greenbank Farm. The Old Spot Bistro, the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop and Greenbank Cheese offer opportunities for refreshment."

The location of this home is perfect to explore Whidbey Island. The home is nestled in the woods so sitting out on the porch, watching the water is a great way to take in the PNW. The home itself has newer bedroom furniture and comfortable living spaces. The kitchen was also well-stocked for cooking in. We spent time in the summer there and it never got too hot inside. I'd recommend checking out the local Greenback stores and heading down to Langley if you can!
