Hostel-like experience with private rooms but managed by locals. Not sure about ownership though. Basic rooms at a very reasonable price. Great location in the town. Nice cocktails and meals in a chill common space!

Al llegar, no tenían mi reserva y ofrecieron otra habitación por el mismo precio de la reservada. Decidimos irnos a buscar otro hotel.

Good vibes, nice common area
The room was very dirty, hairs everywhere, sheets didn't look clean

The outside had a cool setup.
Room was NOT what I reserved. Asked for 2 beds we got one. I was traveling with my daughter so it was ok to sleep in the same bed but there was absolutley no air circulation in the room. There was hair (not ours) on the floor in room and bathroom and the bedding was horrible. The pillows felt like a pillowcase that had 2 tshirts stuffed inside of it. When I asked about switching rooms they told me I had the newest room there. I would only stay there if everything else is sold out

Nice view, friendly staff. good location.
The room had a smell, there was mould in the windows and on the pillows. the shower curtains was black because of dirt. The place could be so much better with some small updates.

The views were nice and the location was good.
Very loud between parties, street noise and dogs. Did not get the room I had booked. No toilet paper (which I found out too late). Room was not cleaned prior to check in. No wifi in the room.

The location was great, breakfast was nice, and the staff were mostly friendly.
It is a party hostel that is overpriced. You have to pay in cash. The room was dirty, bedsheets smelled bad, the bathroom had mould. the shared spaces were also dirty, tables weren’t routinely wiped down and there was a lot of dog poo on the shared green area that wasn’t cleaned up. Staff were accommodating when we raised complaints and said they would look into resolving the situation.

The view is great and the staff very polite

Location.
The wifi was not good, and it was almost undetectable in my room. It gets pretty loud late in the night. They did not accept credit cards, and they were not mentioned or communicated after the booking.
If you're looking for a hostel to work remotely or meet people from various nationalities, then this is not the place. Since 90% of them are from Israel.

Beautiful views, friendly check in, great chill out space in good location.
Dorms are very basic, would benefit from plugs for each bed/lockers.

The view from the balcony was nice. That's it.
So... where do I start.
1. Location - yes, it is close to the port (with the size of San Pedro, everything is close to the port), but my room was way too close to the street so I could hear all the noise from the passing tuk-tuks.
2 Dirty facilities - honestly, my room was a complete mess; yes, that was a fault of the people staying (there were socks, bottles and snacks all over the floor - it felt like a student dorm), but actually the common bathroom and the toilets were also quite dirty the whole day.
3. NO international vibe whatsoever. I felt as if I am the only person who is not from Israel. Some signs were in Hebrew, people greeted me in Hebrew. Far away from feeling the local culture.
4. Internet was pretty much non-existent in my room and near the pier (so as soon as you go out a bit of the reception).
5. No lockers?! My personal belongings, incl. my laptop didn't feel very safe as literally everyone could enter the hostel and there were indeed many vendors doing this too. I did lock the room and then the people staying in the same room totally disregarded this and did not agree with locking the room.
6. No place for a digital nomad - working here was impossible because: of the WiFi issues, the music till late in the evening coming from the common areas which are also right next to the rooms, as well as music and loud Israeli backpackers during the day. I did wake up early in the morning to take part in a meeting and I was asked to be quiet as everyone else partying last night was sleeping.
7. Literally the only hostel in Mexico and Guatemala that I visited that does not offer filtered water to its guests. And I have been travelling for 2 months and changed 15+ hostels.

Liked the location on the water, night staff was very friendly
The wifi was terrible. It didn't work in the rooms and even in the common spaces, it was super slow and disconnected frequently. Made working remote impossible and we had to find another cafe every day. Also, we messaged them about this and they stopped responding - very unresponsive.

Seaview and location is great
If you are over 30 and looking for a relaxing and clean place to sleep, this is probably not the best place.

Very nice place, helpful staff. Comfortable room.
A little bit noisy for older couple, because of a lot of young visitors. Great place for the 20-30 year old visitors.

Good location. Nice communal hang out spots with comfy seating. The owner was very friendly and checked in throughout my stay.
Guests were mainly young Israeli travelers looking to party. They were up late at night. The guests in my dorm were loud and inconsiderate of others sleeping - slamming the door, having loud conversations and playing stuff on their phone at midnight. The facilities were quite dirty. Breakfast did not accommodate vegans.

The location is fantastic, and the lakefront property is very nice. Great on-site restaurant & bar, and a chill-out area right by the water.
The rooms are tiny, and the value for money is terrible. The shower was not great, and there was construction noise all day long as new rooms were added while I was staying at Casa Blanca. After a few days, I decided to move to another place - that's when I realized that there's better value for money nearby.

Good location, peaceful place on the lakeside
Many people smoking weed all day long, noisy at night as it is located close to many bars

I booked and went there and they told me they already rented out my room. had to find something else on the spot

The location just by the lake is awesome.
The booking.com site of the hostel is not clear about the bathroom options.

Great location, good food and drinks, nice views over the lake, comfortable bed and hot showers!
Breakfast was included in the booking which is one reason why we stayed and were told this was 8-11:30am. However the day we checked out we waited for 15 mins for any staff member for us to order breakfast and nobody was around so we went to a nearby restaurant and paid for breakfast. When we came back to checkout an hour later there was still nobody around, and we waited 30 mins again for someone to help us with checkout.
