After everything was situated correctly, we enjoyed our stay…warm, cozy, and comfortable

Had a good time, check-in was such a great experience, the young lady was precious. Thanks for helping me book and have a great stay.

The man at the front desk when we checked in was extremely rude. He would not even try to help us get a He would not even try to help us get an early check-in. The lady at the front desk when we finally got to check in at 10 PM after our event was very nice. We got to the room that she assigned us and walked in and it was dirty, so we went and told her and she upgraded us at no charge because of the inconvenience.
The breakfast area was very nice, but the breaker kept tripping every time someone would make a waffle and a coffee at the same time.
It wasn’t the worst experience, but it definitely wasn’t the best.

Tv and internet did not work. Called front desk couldn’t help with either.

The evening staff (Keith and Jenna) were friendly, helpful and very responsive. The hotel has potential, but many things didn't work: the TVs in the gym, the kettle bells had no weight in them, the espresso machine was broken, they advertise an indoor pickle ball court, but the paddles were broken and there was no ball; there was peleton in the gym but it didn't connect to the wifi. The bkfst is reconstituted scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (but it ran out by 8:40). There were 3 cereals, and a waffle maker.
The first room we were assigned seemed damp,, and had a faint urine smell. They moved us to another room that didn't have that smell.
The room wasn't well set up. A small bathroom, and furniture that didn't fit well in the room.
The bed was soft, comfortable. AC worked well. Good water pressure in the shower.
The refrigerator was noisy so we had to unplug it.
House Keeping didn't get to our room when we extended a night. It was fair enough that it wasn't worth moving hotel rooms.
The gym has a nice array of dumbells up to 50#s, and an adjustable bench. It askari has a high and low pulley system.
The indoor courtyard has very big TV, plus 4 smaller ones, ping pong, a minature basketball hoop, and a small pickleball court (not regulation size).

Check in was difficult, booked a romm with double bed for two guests, clerk would not split the room cost with me and my guest on separate cards. Never had this problem at any lodge anywhere before. Very awkward, set a bad tone for entire 3 night visit. I won’t be back, don’t like surprises.

Very good hotel would stay there again when I’m in the area.

I reserved online and it was smooth and excellent.
It was so comfortable staying and clean room and facility.
Good breakfast.Thanks

Horrible. I called to cancel a month before only to find out the reservation was never entered as canceled. I called a week later to confirm cancellation to be told it was too late to cancel and I would be charged full price. I was unable to travel and Hurricane Helen made it more impossible. I was told by friends that the Hotel stay was awful as most rooms were without power. So disappointed in the Best western hotel and will never stay at another hotel run by this company.

Hotel was clean, all staff was friendly, safe area, nice lounge area for family and kids. Would stay again!

Would have been great if my smoke free room didn’t smell like someone had been chain smoking cigarettes for days in there.

Pros:
The location of this hotel in proximity to Clemson campus and Memorial Stadium is excellent. The breakfast buffet was good. There is also a restaurant attached which is convenient. Staff were trying to be accommodating but were clearly overwhelmed.
Cons:
Check in did not go well for not just me, but several guests-rooms were not ready because they were short housekeepers per staff. This was move in weekend but I assumed they’d be more prepared for the influx of parents coming into town. We arrived right at 3pm and did not get into our room until after 5pm. Guest before us was placed in a room that was already occupied. The cleaning staff were rushed to clean rooms and it did show.
Would I stay there again? Yes, but mostly out of convenience as there are not a ton of options super close to campus.

Property was very reasonable priced, nice rooms and clean, would recommend.

I booked a 2 Queen, non-smoking room. We were originally given a room that instead of facing the outside, directly faced an indoor courtyard, where breakfast is served and where there is entertainment (pickleball court, basketball hoop, ping pong table, etc.) right outside the room. The entertainment area concept is fun and a room facing this area would probably be great for people that want to do people watching and partake in the games, but we are light sleepers and were there to do a college tour, so this room wasn't a great fit for us. The hotel was pretty full, but the front desk were able to call and change our room to one that was identical but faced the outside. That *greatly* improved our stay and I appreciated their effort!
I should have read the reviews more carefully, but the fact that half some of the rooms face indoors was a surprise, and there was no indication when I booked this room that it could face this indoor area. It seems to me that they should be separate booking categories - some may wish to have their room face this area, while some mat not wish to face this area.
On the plus side, this hotel is walking distance to the stadium; only about a mile and a half away, and there are sidewalks. As far as I can tell, there isn't a bus or shuttle that you can take to the stadium.
Hotel was full, and the breakfast was hit hard. We were there 2 nights and the hot proteins (scrambled eggs / sausage / bacon) were always out.

The staff didn’t keep fresh cold water in the container in the lobby. My son went downstairs in the early morning hours and was told to just use the water fountain. Also the American flag outside is in terrible condition and needs to be replaced!

This is a beautiful motel. Rooms are lovely. Service excellent. We will hopefully go back.

Nice property near the Clemson campus.

Room did not have exterior window, so there was no natural light. There seem to be limited staff and the breakfast was very limited for a best western plus. It was fine, but not up to the Plus standard.
1.5
The bathroom smelled like moldy towels. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were cold and they really had very few actual options.
The restaurant connected to it has pretty good food, but the portion sizes were very small. I would have been getting one appetizer as they were bigger than the entrees by quite a bit.

Room was not cleaned but was turned over. Hair on the sink floor and after they did clean the room, when we’re pulling the covers back, there was hair in the bed. Some ended up having to move rooms at 10:30 at night. Horrible experience.

Staff was friendly, but poorly dressed, sweats and another staff member had soiled clothing on. Room was extremely humid and damp due to the air conditioner. Bathrrom was not cleaned properly. Rear door leading to the fire pit area was broken and unsecured. I will not be returning.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Disgustingly dirty. We will never stay here again.

The hotel leaves something to be desired. The front desk staff and manager are the stars of this show they are worth 100 star. Brittany is a great rep for this hotel and Chris is a terrific manager. They are gems and I really want to thank them for their service to me as a customer.

Room was not ready. Had to wait about 45 mins. There were some cleanliness issues but they were corrected.

We enjoyed our stay just needed more shampoo and soap and clean towels which was not a daily service.

I don't want to let out the secret BUT this is an affordable and convenient deal for Clemson parents. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is very good and it's so close to campus and downtown as well as shopping options!
1.5
Check in was slow upon arrival but to be fair the desk associate was alone and had to deal with the phone and the counter. The room was ok but there were some issues with cleanliness: the bathroom sink was dirty, the flat sheet was stained so we tossed it aside and the overall cleanliness could use some attention.
2.0
The fitness facility was dirty. Our room had an odd odor. The bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned for our arrival. The tub was clogged, the toilet seat broken, and the WiFi didn’t work. Make sure not to stay in a ground floor room facing the atrium. There’s no natural light and absolutely zero privacy unless you close the black out shades, which makes it feel like a dark closet.
3.0
Bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well and it’s a noisy hotel.
2.0
This is our first time here but we did notice they did not clean the rooms very well. There was left over garbage under the sink and on the bedside table. The towels were thin and cheap.
The toilets need to be replaced with newer toilets that flush. The bathrooms are outdated
The breakfast was well done every morning and staff was very nice.
Overall the main area of the facility was clean and was convenient to Clemson and shopping. I would say it’s an average hotel.

We checked in late at 11pm and had to wait another hour for our reserved room. We were in town for a graduation. Were told we would receive a gift card and haven’t heard anything since. Unfortunate situation

I have stayed at this property twice and both times have been aggressively approached by the same homeless man. It is a known problem at this establishment and guests do not feel safe in the parking lot or at the entrance late at night.
