The staff was extremely polite and helpful. This facility was amazing which included a rooftop bar overlooking the city! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone staying in Toledo, Spain

Carlos V was a total disappointment! When we booked our stay, there was NO mention that it is not reachable by car. We parked at a nearby public parking lot and then rolled up the hill our suitcases until we reached the hotel! Secondly, the room was very hot as the air-condition was not working. They told us that it would not be fixed until Monday and it was Saturday. They also told us to open the window to cool the room. But the noise outside would not let us sleep! The curtain that hung in front of said window was dusty and our allergies kicked in. We then decided to not stay for our second night and checked out. However, they didn't refund us for the second night. The receptionist said that she would relay our complaints to the Manager. Very disappointing!

A modern, clean and comfortable hotel. In the city centre, from here you can walk everywhere. Friendly personal. I’ll definitely come back.

Great location and friendly staff. We enjoyed the view from the rooftop. I will stay here again.

Great location. At checkin, one of the ladies (tall, skinny, long hair) was rude and yelled at me across the room for wanting to store my luggage. She was rude, mean and obnoxious. Later, other vistors asked me if I was ok because of her banter. I asked for a quiet room and she gave me the room in front of the elevator. She was annoyed when I returned and asked for another room. I almost went to another hotel. Breakfast was very good.

First, the staff were very, very nice. Front desk, people along with Juan all were very very kind. The location was very nice. The rooms were very clean and the beds were fine . However, I would skip on paying for the breakfast because if there’s large bus groups, you will never get to the buffet. There’s 5 to 6 people lined up for each section and we’re lucky to get an egg, etc…. so we usually ended up eating outside of the hotel because we had to fight to get access to main items …Hotel must have a separate room for bus groups as it’s not fair for individual travelers so I would skip paying for the breakfast and just go out for half the price and you get service immediately. This is directed toward Americans …the air condition systems as you probably realize in many of the smaller hotels in Europe are very insufficient so I can’t imagine being here in June July and August when temperatures are over 95° ..the lowest you can get the air condition in these room is around 75 degrees because they’re program not to keep it cooler …extremely uncomfortable to sleep in so I would take that in consideration upon reserving a hotel room here . It’s too bad because like I said, the staff , the room itself the housekeeping cleanliness is excellent but the months of June, July and August I can’t imagine how warm it must be in these rooms. We’ve stayed in nearly 60 to 70 different nights and different hotels so there’s only a few that are like this regarding the air-conditioning

This hotel offers a comfortable and strategically situated accommodation near the Historical Center. While its location is commendable, attention to diversifying breakfast options is imperative. Nevertheless, it remains an excellent choice for lodging in Toledo.

Stayed for 2 nights in this nice hotel. Nice room, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant, walkable distance from good restaurants and cathedral. A must do is to go to the rooftop looking out over the city. Go up and get pictures at sunset of the cathedral.

Our stay in Toledo was magical, the city is so beautiful at Christmas. This was great hotel, near main plaza. The rooftop bar is lovely for a great view of the city while enjoying a drink or coffee. On Christmas Eve all restaurants close early. We were able to buy some sandwiches, sodas, and a can of soup from a market nearby. Raquel, the hotel clerk was so kind to heat the soup for us, and found a bowl and 2 spoons; she saved us and we were able to have a humble but filling Christmas dinner in Toledo thanks to her. We are so grateful.

Great front desk staff.

Tile hallways put guests at the mercy of late arriving or early departing neighbors. They echo and are quite loud.
That said, the good ourweighs the bar and the West facing upper floor rooms have stunning views. Staff was helpful. Parking is a challenge, but rewarding once you figure it out. We packed our next days clothes in our day packs and left the luggage in the closest commercial garage. All was well, and the hotel provides a slight discount for the parking garages.

Great hotel in the middle of Toledo with a great rooftop restaurant with fantastic views. Very comfortable large room for a very reasonable price. A little tricky to get to & park, but manageable & well worth the central location.

This hotel in a very convenient location, close to heart of the town but not noisy. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The best part is the rooftop bar - the view is spectacular, especially at sunset. My room was comfortable though it only had one window facing the interior of the building which you need to leave shut for privacy. I'm sure the more expensive rooms have nicer outlooks. I would definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable experience staying in the hotel. I have mobility issues and found it difficult getting in/out of the bath to shower.

Great location, easy walk to cathedral, the square and many restaurants. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and helpful. Nice roof top bar to watch the sunset over the cathedral. The thing that impressed me most about the hotel though was the cleaning staff. The hotel was spotless. Our room was thoroughly cleaned during our stay. The only thing I would recommend is to add a recycle bin in the room.

We had a great stay at the Carlos V. The location was perfect - very close to the main plaza and restaurants. The room was very clean and quiet. The Azotea rooftop bar has awesome views and great drinks/food. (Make a reservation for dinner because it’s popular!) We really liked this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Toledo!

Great location, great hotel, friendly staff, delicious breakfast!
What's more touching is that there is a picture of my favorite actress on the wall on the bed. I was proud that I slept in the room where Emmanuelle Seigner, the wife of the respected director Roman Polanski and actress who performed with Johnny Depp, slept for two days. Thank you
