Great reception at the front desk. I would have upgraded if asked. View was ok. Not sure if room was used for pets. I had bad allergies in the room.

We had an amazing experience at this resort. Absolutely love it will be back.:))

Great amenities and amazing location. Close to great hiking trails. Walking distance to town with tons of restaurants and shops. The kayaks and being right on mirror lake were the best parts. Would definitely come back.

Wasn’t sure of lake house floor plan. Booked a room with patio. My husband has a hard time with stairs. When we got there had to do stairs to get to our room. They looked to accommodate us but not hard enough. It wasn’t busy mid week. So unfortunately he had to do stairs in pain for the two days we were there.

This was the first time staying at the Lake House having stayed at many other properties in lake placid. Location is great and the grounds are well kept, the rooms are a bit to be desired. We stayed in room 620 which was on ground floor and was the furthest away from the high peaks resorts where all the amenities actually are. When we asked to move to a closer room and hopefully on the second floor, we were told they were basically fully booked and couldn’t accommodate. This was clearly not the case as the hotel was basically empty all week given the max 5 cars we saw parked. The room from afar looked ok but once we settled in there was hair in the shower, obvious vomit marks in washroom walls, shower head was rusted, chairs outside were also rusted and paint all chipped off. The pool advertised in the lake house was not the pool in the building but across the street. The pool at the lake house should be closed to the public until they update and fix degrading floor and grates. We did not swim there for obvious reasons. The other pool was really nice and worth the walk over. Kayaks and paddle boats were a nice touch though which was part of the waterfront hotel location which well maintained. We got the impression that because we booked with Expedia we were put in a discount room. Just my thoughts, I have pictures of everything I just can’t post on this review platform

Best place to be in Lake Placid. Great Location and View from the balcony! Close to everything. I was a little bit disappointed bc hotel looked like it has not been vacuumed for a while and the cleaning spray used to clean the surfaces and tables at the restaurant was making them stickies. Great food at Dancing Bear restaurant and very good service!

We have stayed at this property for forty years. The owners have not kept up with routine maintenance and upkeep to the rooms. The location is the best on Mirror Lake, but the owners are skimping on the small things. Not a good look.

We had a lovely stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were there following a backpacking trip. The beds were comfy and nice view. There was tons to do with pools, games, boats, fire pits and more. We didn’t get to take advantage of it all but definitely would like to return to stay longer.

What an amazing service I’ve received from this hotel. They were able to upgrade my room to the one with balcony in the main building from the Lake House without any problems. Beautiful amenities and friendly and accommodating staffs. What else can you ask for? I would definitely recommend this hotel for the family!!

The rooms are standard but the pools and boating opportunities are amazing.

Hotel room is a bit tired and needs an update. Location was great and at the edge of downtown so walking to restaurants and shopping is easy

Our family stayed at Lake House for 3 nights. The check-in experience was quick and smooth. The check-in manager even advised us to use the waterfront area of the hotel to view July 4 fireworks which was great. Lake House property is part of High Peaks resort and is a bit neglected compared to the main resort building. The lounge area of Lake House was mostly deserted, the bar area was unmanned most of the time and the floor was not cleaned. I’m surprised that the guests living in Lake House would make such a mess dropping their finished plastic water bottles, disposable glasses, candy wrappers on the floor. There was no vacuuming done as far as I can remember, the coffee pot was filled in the morning but never re-filled. The main resort building had better services for guests including refreshments served twice during day time. The rooms in Lake House were clean and room service was great. However, I’d recommend people to skip staying at Lake House and instead book the main resort hotel for their stay. The waterfront property was fabulous and so was the outdoor swimming pool. Guests are allowed to use kayaks and paddle boats on a first come first serve basis which was awesome.

While I don’t recommend staying at the Lake House specifically the Main building in the resort, was very nice, staff very friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room almost immediately after I filled out the evaluation during our stay and explained how the room was not what I expected. I appreciated that greatly. That really speak to how much they care about their customer service! The restaurant called Top of the Park which is almost directly across the street from the resort was delicious, everything they served was perfect.
I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to stay in Lake Placid.

This property was no way worth $470 per night with no proper reception area , no complimentary breakfast , no where to raise ur concern at the time of ur stay. No one was there while checking out. Took 1 hr to find out that need to drop our keys to a different hotel ( which was not stated at the time of check in )

From the moment we checked in to check out, staff were very helpful and welcoming. Room was as advertised and pleasant, view was stunning, and we would definitely stay there again.

You are strictly paying for location at the Lake House. Across the street is the main resort, which is where you need to check in upon arrival. The main resort appears nice however the lake house smells as soon as your walk in. There is no staff to be found anywhere, the recreation area with a couple of games is sad and tired looking. The staff working the water sports gave no instruction on anything and were just diving off the pier. The bed sunk in as soon as we sat on it, so they were pretty uncomfortable throughout the stay. The bottom of the shower curtain was dirty & definitely needed to be cleaned.
Having said all of that, the location was great! It was within walking distance of many areas & driving distance of a lot of local sites. I would stay here again if I had absolutely no other choice but it would be the last option.

The building we stayed in was old. There was a loud waterfall that came off the roof when it rained which was every day of our stay. When we complained about it the first day the front desk in a building across the street (same owner) told us there was nothing they could do and they didn't have a comparable room available. The staff was incompetent! From the bungled check in to the lack of information about a major tank removal scheduled on the day of our departure, which was located under our parked vehicle and required us to move early in the morning. Work had already started with a worker chiseling a ground cover 5 feet away from my vehicle when I arrived to move it. At checkout we were told no manager was available to address our complaints but they would take our number, which they did and never called.
