First impression when I walked in the office was great! Friendly greeting, smelled extremely clean. We were there for a 3 night stay. We had a handicap room reserved due to mobility issues. The room was obviously newly renovated and very nice. The only issues we had are, the king bed only had 3 very small pillows that are terrible and, the shower chair was very flimsy and had no bottom caps. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

Crusty unclean room, lack room service. Shower sucked. Breakfast was lame.

1. Charged $100 deposit to check-in. I assume this is to cover thefts from rooms. While I understand the reason, I find it to be unacceptable to treat long time customers this way.
2. Pillows are too small and insufficient in quantity for two guests to use in a King-size bed.
3. Coffee pot is about as chintzy as you can get and is not adequately stocked. Two packets of regular coffee, one packet of Decaf coffee, one packet consisting of one stir stick, one small napkin, one packet artificial sweetener, one packet of sugar and one packet of creamer. All of which are inadequate. This was never restocked during our stay.
4. Breakfast (11/28 through 11/30) appeared to be a boiled egg, cereal, oatmeal, toast, English muffin, butter, jelly packets, and coffee. Why bother if you don't make an effort.
5. There is a severe draft in the room. Investigation revealed that there is no weatherstripping on the room door. Consequently, I had to set and run the room heater at 73 degrees to keep the wife warm. This led to the heater cycling on-and-off about every 5 to 10 minutes all evening on the 28th/mornings of the 29th and 30rh.
6. I went to the office seeking coffee supplies that were not restocked. The Night person advised that there was nothing available until 6:00 a.m. when the breakfast serving. I was surprised that there was not even a pot of coffee at the ready.
7. The bedside lights are too low. I bumped my head on them.
8. The rooms looked to be recently refreshed! Kudos!

I've stayed at this hotel (La Quinta San Diego - Miramar) for 3 nights from September 1st to September 4th this year ( 2024 )and, to this day, almost 3 months later, I still have not received a refund of the $100.00 deposit charged to my credit card when I checked in. If you don't want to be mistreated by rude and grumpy staff who hang up the phone in your face and who don't respond to any emails when you ask for them to fix your problem, stay far away from this hotel. There are definitely nicer options to stay in San Diego!
A good way to tarnish the image and reputation of the Wyndham brand

I loved this location, my first time around this area and I will choose it again! very clean, peaceful, good service at the front desk, my favorite food restaurants around (Mexican food and Starbucks) good place to enjoy the view in more than one scenario.

The water was off from 9PM to 5AM so I couldn’t even shower or flush the toilet. There was a tiny sign in the lobby warning about the outage that was easy to miss but nobody said anything when I checked in, or I would not have stayed there.

Clean property. Asked for additional pillow and told none available, even though hotel was only half full. Breakfast consists of toast and English Muffin. Not sure I would call it a breakfast

No parking, a bit sketchy. Does not look like an original La Quinta Hotel. Would not recommend or book a reservation with this hotel again

Very clean // breakfast limited- basic

The so-called breakfast was Eggo waffles and frozen French toast. No eggs or meat. Just cereal and juices...Kinda cheap for what I paid for the room...Aesthetically, the decor was GREAT. Comfortable and clean rooms...I would suggest upping your breakfast game...

No microwave in room - this would have been helpful
The room was clean, neat. We loved having a balcony.
The air conditioner was quite loud.

It was very easy to check in and out on the phone. I liked if I needed anything or had any questions I could text from my phone.

they only had USBC plugs available so I couldn’t plug in my iphone. I am sure i am not the only one to run into this problem. They could have converter plugs for sale but they didn’t. The room was clean enough but I did have to wipe off some crumbs from the bedside table. Nice bed, nice pool. Tolerable motel, nothing fancy.

You will need a vacation after staying here! Very noisy area. That's not the main issue, though. Arrived to see notice that water would be shut off @ 9pm til 6am the days we were staying (thanks for the heads up when making reservations) Nothing like arriving back in your room after 11pm, after a long hot summer day & evening and not being able to shower or flush the toilet! Exhausted from walking over 20k steps that day, we went to bed sweaty & dirty, only to be awoken by the smoke alarm @ 6am! My teen was eventually able to go back to sleep, I wasn't. They ran out of coffee for breakfast (kitchen water issue) of all days, Suggested I use coffee maker in room. I went to load bags in the car only to return to our room where I'd been locked out. Front desk said it was 11am. Keys don't work anymore. I reminded him that he'd told me to make coffee & that my daughter was in the shower. He "allowed me back in to make more coffee & get the rest of my things, including my teen. There are also signs everywhere that say "no smoking". This isn't enforced. We could smell smoking everywhere. My teen is hypersensitive to it. The man from housekeeping was very helpful & kind, the beds (that I barely got use) were comfortable. Those were the 2 good points. No one apologized for the inconvenience or any of the issues. Were actually rude. The place is falling apart. A Motel 6 would've been nicer & cheaper. How this place is allowed to use the Wyndham & La Quinta name is beyond me. Stay away.
