We were in a celebration trio for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We love staying at the Elysee, love New York and all that we did!

Great stay and the manager Jack was particularly excellent with professional demeanor that matched the service.

We loved this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was fully renovated. Not a problem… but the couch upholstery could have been refreshed… aka redone. Bottomline… we were very happy. We will stay again.

The hotel staff is gracious and attentive, and especially welcoming in the lounge, with its private-club vibe as the place for continental breakfast and afternoon snacks. The decor is classy but ready to be refreshed. Nevertheless, housekeeping is top-notch and maintains the hotel's charm and appeal

No restaurant except the touristy loud Monkey which is horrible. No nice bar, no mini bar, & no room service. Had to go outside hotel to have a drink or nice meal.
The mattress was saggy- if you don’t have a great back, you will be in pain.
TV in cabinet with doors that are in the way when open. No way to charge a phone close to the bed. A once elegant hotel that’s in disrepair.
Needs an entire renovation.

We loved this hotel so much last year, we stayed this year as well and it was just as fab! We have decided this is where we will stay every year when we visit.

We loved this Hotel! It’s old but just enough to feel comfortable as if at home. The French decor is wonderful. If you want a new modern hotel, this is not for you but if you are looking for a hotel with old but comfortable elegance and a great staff, this is for you.

Hotel Elysee was great place to stay to be close to Rock Center and also be able to get up to East side. Quiet and clean. Rooms plenty big enough. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was super at front desk and door. Really great location to walk alot of places easily - from Park Ave to Central Park to Rock Center and 5th Avenue. Highly recommend. Black Fox coffee location on street avenue is great also for early morning java.

Hotel looks good but is old. You can smell a very old scent in the room and in the hallway. And there are not many outlets to plug things in, especially by the bed. If you want to use the refrigerator, you should ask to bring it. The refrigerator in the room does not work and it is dirty. But the hotel is located in the shopping area and near central park.

Comfy warm friendly excellent staff who went out of their way to accomodate. Outstanding value

The Elysée is an old hotel that hasn't kept itself up enough to be charming. I had to have lights on to see around the room during daytime. To me it was depressing. The only good part was the staff, they were very welcoming. But I wouldn't recommend it or stay there again

Well situated lovely Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, the open- to - all- guests - Club Room is outstanding.... Snacks and Beverages 24/7, very distinguished atmosphere with classical music in the background. We loved that little piece of the "Old-World" and its flair. No complaints.

Great hotel especially with the food options on the 2nd floor. Spacious rooms and friendly staff.

Subtly high end. Room was swank and beautiful. Breakfast room was great way to start the day with super cappuccino machine. Real deal! And The Monkey Bar restaurant in the hotel is not to be missed. A historic place that oozed stories of famed diners and great service and delicious food. Pricey yet worth every penny

This is my second time staying here. What a lovely, relaxing, convenient place to stay. Walking distance from Grand Central Station. Great price. I will continue to stay at this hotel when I need to get away!

The service was excellent. It is an older hotel, but the ambience is very cozy and the people/employees are very friendly and warm. Location was also great.

Property is dated and in desperate need of renovations. Poor continental breakfast as it contained mostly sugary pastries. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will seek another hotel next time.

I travel to nyc often and have stayed all over, but I think I've finally found my home away from home. This hotel is an absolute gem. The executive lounge was the perfect place to start and get work done between meetings for the week I was there. It is stocked with freshly grinded expresso, coffee, fantastic chips and cliff / granola bars, fruit, water, sift drinks, and more all day. At breakfast, add in a very large assortment of pasteries, yogurt, and more. The attendents are amazing. A 24-hour doorman is always there to welcome you (George is beyond amazing), the rooms are super special with fresh flowers and real paintings. There is plentyy of room and it is super swank in the best of ways. Everything is spotless and well cared for. I had an armoire that was probably 100 years old in my room, and it was in superb shape. Yes, character ages, but I simply love most everything about the hotel too. Super quiet even right next to the elevator yet central to everything you could want. More than 5 stars.

Hotel Elysee is a great place. Problem was that the HVAC in the room did not work, so I had a warm and uncomfortable night

The whole hotel looks tired, classy but needs a facelift.

Comfortable, familiar classic Manhattan hotel with legendary Monkey Bar. Staff was exceptional helpful and attentive plus public areas with longe on second floor was great for relaxing, meeting friends and providing snacks all day. Some areas looked a little tired and could do with a refresh. Bathroom was small but adequate for our needs.

Love the decor. Excellent experience.

Hotel Elysee is located in a very central location in midtown east - nearby offices, shopping, museums and is in the perfect spot. The hotel also has a great restaurant/bar called the Monkey Bar. The breakfast is also complimentary and pretty good. However, the rooms and hallways need a serious upgrade and feel pretty old and worn out.
5.0
An old hotel located in the center of midtown Manhattan with the turn of the last century vibe. I was a bit unhappy when first finding out my room was just an inch away from the elevator! But all the uneasiness immediately faded away once I entered the room which has an interesting structure and interior design making it devoid of any potential outside noise. Having a cozy club room on the second floor for all guests was a big plus.
One drawback for being an old hotel, though, is it has no central air con and the air conditioner on the window is quite loud!
