The hotel was in a good location. Easy to walk to shops, beach, and restaurants. Also, they had easy parking. The place overall, was decent for a quick weekend away but is older and a little run down. The rooms were pretty clean. We had to go to the front desk after checking in to get the remote for the AC which I thought was a bit odd. We were also told to bring it back at check out. We never had a full set of towels. Full size towels and a few hand towels when we checked in and when our room was cleaned, we got full sized towels and a washcloth but no hand towels. Not a big deal but another trip to the front desk to get towels. The walls/doors are very thin so we could hear people outside which is undesirable as I am a very light sleeper. We brought our dog with us and while there was grass around the corner behind one of the buildings there isn't a great area for them to go potty. Our dog is used to the desert so she was fine using the sand and bark by the plants in the parking lot but most dogs prefer grass. It did have a heated pool but we didn't use it.

Nice spacious rooms that close to the beach and local bars and eateries. Friendly reception. Don’t let the outside fool you, the rooms are spacious and nice. The only problem we had was that the view was a neighborhood and there was a weird smell coming from the restroom but it wasn’t enough to ruin our stay.

Amazing location.. 50 steps to the beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. My only complaint was the limited parking.

On arrival a bit confusing- no one at desk area gave a number to call but mailbox full then had to go down a block to another hotel for service for my hotel. Room clean and cute with big bay window. Walk-in closet that had mini fridge. Microwave, and coffee maker. Pet friendly. My only complaint but may be preference the beds were to soft and it was hard to get rest since I am a side sleeper and felt as I got no back support had to use a tucked pillow. Less than a block away from the beach. Overall quite except I could hear the people upstairs walking and moving items frustrating when you are trying to sleep. But overall it was a pleasant family vacation. Both receptionist were pleasant and welcoming.

Our room was excellent, you can tell there was recent paint and upkeep. The pool while a bit dated was a favorite for us. We walked everywhere! So close to the beach and many shops and restaurants. Great place for the price!

As my son said, it’s a lot nicer on the inside than the outside. We chose this hotel for proximity to the beach. Outside of hotel needs so paint and maintenance but rooms were decent. We could definitely smell the bleach when we walked in so we felt it was clean. Bathroom door needed to be replaced and we could see under the door from our beds

Rooms are sort of smaller and dated. If you’re looking or expecting nicer. Look somewhere else. But it is as very close to the beach with restrooms and restaurants. Parking is a plus and room has Ac. Would definitely stay again next time.

Super friendly staff, continuously cleaning so there isn't tourist beach sand everywhere. There is NO Continental breakfast, despite the pictures and even the automated voice prompt when you call.

The building has some serious issues with habitability and the rooms are in abhorrent condition on the windowsills, swollen wood very damp, musty, moldy, smelling rooms. It’s not even a two star. I developed a respiratory cold while I was there and had to cut my trip short, same with my mother that was staying with me Awful I will never go back there

We found this little gem after our Airbnb cancelled us 2 days before arrival. Since we have ESA’s, long term options can be slim pickings- especially June in SD. We stayed 9 days and we are so happy we did. Marlene and her staff took great care of us. This beachy little inn had all the comforts and is just a short walk to the water. The place was so clean. We loved that there was free parking. High ceilings on the second floor were perfect for my very tall boyfriend and gave an open and airy feel. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Pacific Shores Inn!

Only reason for a four is I hate bathrooms where the sink shower and toilet are all in the same room. No room to hang towels. Loved the deluxe queen room otherwise. Vaulted ceilings made it feel bigger but nice storage and entry way with counter, large desk, cabinets and microwave and fridge. Easy beach access and north of Crystal pier so much quieter. Great spot

Great location. Free parking. Right by the ocean! Also, laundry on site was a plus. Great water pressure in the shower. Clean, but could use a little fixing up. For example, towel bar in bathroom was loose, tacks sticking out where carpet met the bathroom tile. All in all, great for the price. Would stay again.

The property manager was very helpful to give us a lower room when my husband had difficulty climbing the stairs to the second level. Great location and also free parking spot with room number, so no worries about not having a place for our vehicle close to our room!

Drive slowly into the property! Your car will bottom out if you don’t. Parking is kinda weird and cramped but it’s safe, lots of people walking around because the beach is pretty much right there. I got the double queen room and it was awesome. Bring your own food because they provide a full kitchen down to the pots and pans and silverware. Wish I would have. Very clean and has lots of room.

Super convenient location by the beach! The property was quiet overall! The room was somewhat renovated n up to date. The bathroom was super small and hard to get out of shower n move to other side of the toilet to open the door and exit. The walls behind the bathroom door had water damage n should be replaced. Other than that, i would probably stay here again if need be...
