Excellent breakfast offerings. Closer to restaurants

Very convenient location for touring around Normandy. Walking distance to Cabourg restaurants. Very small room though and old bathroom. Amenities in room are lacking (only body wash). More of a 3.5 star than 4 star. Good breakfast.

Great location, relaxing atmosphere, very nice grounds, and overall great value for the money. Staff tried to be nice but did not speak english well and seemed uncomfortable doing so. Could not go to them for advice on anything. Not a big deal but it would be nice to have that communication factor. Great overall place though.

Very nice stay at Mercure Cabourg. Located right on the edge of the town. Hotel was very clean, smart and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was to die for, amazing selection of what to have and all was brilliant, which is what you certainly expect in a French hotel. Had a swim in the pool the first day, which was fine but could have been slightly warmer than it was, but I still enjoyed my swim. Will be happy to stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great. Breakfast was excellent. Location was close enough to walk to town.

We had a lovely time. There should have been more food options at the hotel though, for convenience.

With a restaurant, the property would be four stars.

Nice stay. Common areas were a little warn and dated but we were fine. Very comfortable beds, quiet, great a/c and wifi worked. Kids loved the pool. Location for walking to the main strret for restaurants and shopping was terrific, and we were delighted we didn't have to take the car and deal with parking We'd definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mecure Cabourg Hotel. The hotel is a modern version of a country inn and beautify decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced in a hotel! The surrounding area is very quiet and across the street from the hippodrome. The town of Cobourg is just five min away by car, where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and the beach. The hotel staff has outstanding customer service and knew us by name. There is a bar and restaurant that serves breakfast each morning. The food is superb. I didn’t have a chance to use the pool or spa but they are available. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Normandy Beach historical sites or getting away from Paris for a couple of days. We were only planning to stay one night but ended up staying two!

A good location hotel, opposite the racecourse with a good size pool, children's play area and lovely breakfast. We would definitely stay again and our 2 year old daughter didn't want to leave!

Not fancy, clean, close to beach and horse track. Breakfast is very good.

For the money, it is OK, but they need to improve the gym and adjust the spa hours. the equipment is all old and useless.

I am 84 years old and I paid for 3 hotel rooms, I was checking in when my daughter in law came to stand next to me the clerk immediately ignored me and spoke only to her. Needless to say I was very offended and it affected my whole attitude toward the hotel. I felt very offended and would never stay there again.

Lack of in house restaurant was disappointing the rest was ok

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and polite.
The room was pleasantly warm but a little small for a couple and a baby in a cot.
It was nice to have a view of the racecourse from the bedroom window - we got to see horses training.
There was a well-stocked and wide-ranging breakfast, although every day, the scrambled eggs were rather congealed.
The hotel was a bit out of the way; apart from the race-track and an on-site independent restaurant with a limited menu, there's nothing else of interest or use within ten minutes walk, but if you're prepared to venture further, shops and restaurants are 15 minutes away and the beach is 20 minutes away. This did, at least, make the hotel quiet.
The pool was more suitable for families than doing lengths, because of steps extending the full width of the shallow end. It was a bit disconcerting that the pool seemed to be lined with a loose linoleum, rather than tiles.
It was frustrating that they would not allow you to add Accord group loyalty points for a booking made through an external website, such as Hotels.com.

This is a nice hotel. Breakfast is really great (great bread, lots of choices). Staff is very friendly. My room was a bit small (room for 3). Nice view in the hippodrome.

Nice if a little small room, air con switched to heat only so as a warm October the room was hot or stuffy. Didn't use hotel restaurant but plenty of restaurants etc in centre of Cabourg about 10 mins walk away. Pool area clean and great after a day out driving around and sightseeing.

Just out of city center, you can walk up to the shore in 15-20 minutes and get to the casino as well. very nice city to discover!
