My stay was good, the only thing was housekeeping did not come and clean our room. We would have like them too.
1.0
Toilet loose on floor, also to close to wall with towel rack in way. Shower in pitiful shape needs tearing out and replacing.
Last stop on way home and tired otherwise we would have walked out and gone down the road to somewhere else.

I frankly expected more from a Hampton Inn & Suites. Our room was in need of a major overhaul/upgrade. No USB ports, wood surfaces in bathroom badly worn, leaking shower faucet, and a shower stall, well let's just say in was in bad need of replacement. And there was a constant gurgling sound coming from the walls that sounded like we were in a giant fish aquarium. Very strange, but we blocked it out with earplugs.

A great night of rest!

Staff was nice and accommodating. Manager was very nice and let us stay longer because we had no power at our house from a storm.

Wonderful stay. Continental breakfast is great. Convenient and comfortable.
4.0
Very convenient location near highway and the National Battlefield. Clean room, friendly staff. decor needs a refresh, but is not terrible.
On the downside, breakfast was lackluster and there was no walk-able restaurant .
Satisfactory overall.

Room smelled of mildew. Carpet was sticky.

Good place to stay, could use some updates
2.0
Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Overall, our room was a little dingy on appearance. Some of the lights didn’t work. Didn’t find anything particularly dirty just needs some updates. Thought the room would have a sleeper sofa but only a small chair.

We waited in line to check in for 40 minutes and the clerk was overwhelmed and under trained. The mattresses did not have sealed covers, the towels were thin enough to see through and the window covers had tape over tears. The darling was good and the lobby and paintings were nice as well as the hospitality hour

Close to restaurants

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years, as we have family in Vicksburg. It has been a few months since we have stayed there, however, but we did spend two nights this weekend.
On a positive note, all hotel personnel we met were well mannered, and congenial. The checkin process was smooth.
Since we last stayed the hotel had been repainted with orange and blue that seemed garish and uninviting. The window where the a/c was had curtains that could not be completely closed, so I could not get the room very dark, and led to me getting very little sleep, the a/c was quite loud as well.Overall cleanliness of the room was marginal at best.
I hope that this a one-off for the hotel, and we will use it again at least one more time, but will ask for a room other than 408!

Very satisfied

There was mold in the restroom
1.5
The carpet in the room was terribly stained. The window sheer was torn. The furniture was scratched and worn. The pillows were lumpy.
The back entry doors and floors were dirty. There were a lot of guests with dogs. I’m thinking that the fact that it is a dog friendly hotel contributes to the poor condition of the furniture and the uncleanliness.

The lobby looked uniquely Southern.
Breakfast had poor selection.

The location to the Military Park was great. Items in room where broken and not much else to do in the area.

The property was lovely when I stayed there 15 years ago, but nothing looks updated. Furniture, carpets, drapes need to be updated especially that dogs are allowed to stay in the rooms. There were no specific areas for the dogs to stay, and my daughter is allergic to dogs. One of our rooms was okay, but the other was not. Her room was changed, but there should be a better way to book no pets allowed rooms.
Check in was difficult, I had booked through Expedia. Desk attendant was somewhat rude. She finally found our booking under my name. If your booking is not found, be sure and ask to check under your name.

I called Hotels.com on Sunday and changed my reservation. The person who helped me called the hotel, supposedly, and got my reservation moved by one day.
Arrived today after 8 hours in the car. No reservation. The person at front desk was rude and no help at all. Was going to make me pay for another day. Could care less about how distressing it was.
Then spent half an hour on phone with Hotels.com for no reason.
Disputed charges with my CC company. I will not use Hotels.com in the future. Would not stay at Hampton in Vickburg, MS ever again either.
Bonus as we were sitting in the car trying to find another hotel, was hit up by some bum wanting money. Yeah, really safe hotel.

Everything went very well.

Reservation was handled well. Accommodations were good. Appreciate the availability of free WiFi.

The first room we were given smelled like pee and the tv did not work. So I asked for a different room. Second room had stains on the furniture, one lamp did not work, the curtains where ripped and put back together with duct tape and one of the two key cards would not work for the room we where assigned too. Location was good because it’s right off the highway.
5.0
It is away from highway so noise was low.

A/C didn’t work. Went to front desk & they said to use the thermostat & it takes a bit. It never worked. The thermostat said the room was at 45 degrees when it wasn’t.
There was no shampoo (empty bottle in the shower). Red gunk surrounded the bath mat. There was a disgusting stained pillow on the floor right when getting off the elevator. It was still there next morning.
Trash was overflowing & smell was awful in the room where the ice & vending ms hind was located.
The tv woulda’t go on until after having to call the front desk & they had to walk through how to program the remote.
Evening front desk staffseemed annoyed when I asked about some of these things & not sure why they would be?! I should’ve been, not them?!
Morning front desk person seemed to care & perhaps would’ve been a better experience & switched rooms if she had been on the night before instead?
When tired & wanting to relax in a cool room & paying for it, all of those things were not ok. Would not recommend.

I messed up and booked the wrong room. The guy at the desk basically pulled a rabbit out of a hat and got me 2 adjoining rooms at the last second. I was for my family of 5, with a dog, on the 4th of July, 400 miles from home. I wouldn't have been able to find anything else right then. Literally saved my trip. I only wish i had gotten his name. TV wasn't working in the kids room. Front desk offered to come up and look, but called the maintenance guy, who dropped what he was doing at home and came right up and fixed it.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast options.
A bit rundown. Our room smelled awful and the shower rod was broken.

Checking in, Doug said he was about to give our room away. Then the room we were given, one key worked the other didn't. Once in, it was hot and smelled awful. There was mold in the shower and was disgusting. Tried to get the AC on but it would not work. Went back to the reception, after we got the other key to work, and asked about the AC. I was told it takes 15 to 30 minutes to turn on! I suppose my facial expression gave it away I was not pleased and then statesd, that's not gonna work. So the young lady gave us another room. This room smelled much better and the AC was working. We had another issue with only one key working and had to go back down to reception to correct the problem. The shower in this room also had mold, but not as bad as the first room. It was convenient to get to, just off the interstate and if you are looking to go to the battlefield and cemetery, it is right across from the hotel. This hotel really needs to be remodeled and updated. The breakfast was OK if you want to wait to use the one waffle maker!!! They do have complimentary coffee and hot tea!!! Not sure I'd want to stay there again!

Nice place....only issues we saw were the SMALL pillows for sleeping and the decor is dated a bit. The blackout curtains in room 523 need to be changed out as they are torn up. The bed in 516 is almost on the floor. Staff is very friendly.

It was a little dated. However, it was very clean.

Rooms have not been updated years. No way like the pictures

Good location in Vicksburg
Room was not clean. Handycap shower had so much hair the drain did not work.
Had to pick the hair out to shower as their is no tub. They would not compinsate because it was billed through expedia.
This is not a good position to be on twhen things are not going well

Lobby bathrooms were dirty. Room was smelly of old carpet. I like old rustic furniture but not mdb furniture with water damage and rotting. Breakfast was good compared to other Hampton. But the hard boiled eggs were terrible. Not fresh.

Nice Hampton Inn. We stay @ Hamptons for price, convenience, cleanliness & overall appearance. This one is no different. One downer; we prefer walk-in showers. Our room had a tub/shower combo. Not good for seniors.

bathroom shower was moldy , shower door was off track and towel handle on door was broken, Hallways were hot as it seemed no air was on. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

Definitely not up to the standards of other Hampton properties but it was adequate.
