Great location, service and decor for a one night stopover. Plus secure parking.
4.2
Staff were excellent!!
4.2
Excellent check in service. Really nice, large room. Good bathrooms. Easily walkable to all areas
4.2
Nice hotel, breakfast good, no bar , and restaurant not open Sunday or Monday . Bathroom very tired , and strange 2 doors into room! Lots of stairs and very old lift
4.2
Charming property centrally located. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Inner rooms are completely silent given its central location. Near to all the major sights. Would easily recommend.
4.2
Just an overnight stay - was a bit concerned about a few not-so-good reviews but could find nothing to complain about. We had a lovely welcome, our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast on Sunday was fresh, plentiful and tasty.
4.2
Excellent and friendly staff
4.2
Beautiful hotel, gorgeous rooms and I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Just terrific.
4.2
Breakfast was very poor. Even at 9am, staff were unable to clear tables fast enough or to restock the buffet. We had to wait 40 minutes for more bread, and then it arrived frozen! Breakfast was hyped in the room information but was shocking.

I'm very sad to write this review and have reached out to the property twice for a reply and rectification of my recent stay without a reply.
While the hotel, staff and room are perfectly lovely. I arrived and was left 2 Shampoo bottles (one of which had already been clearly opened) and no Conditioner. The fire alarm went off and was a false alarm, however my sleep after a long journey from Australia (30 Hours) was very disrupted. The following night I had no hot water to have a shower, the next morning, still not rectified and after a restless night sleep was offered to shower in another uncleaned room just down the hall, traipsing there in my dressing gown with all of my toiletries, however this room thankfully had Conditioner. The hot water had apparently been fixed however that evening after a cold and wet day, I was greeted to no towels in my room and tepid water. When I requested some towels, the receptionist brought me a very old and stained bath mat which was quite disgusting. Requesting to speak with a manager this was denied as to none being on site and they wouldn't be on site for the remainder of my stay another 2 days over the weekend. I requested another room and was told I should move Hotels. Now as the basic necessities of a hotel such as hot water weren't available to me for 2 days of my 4 day stay and no manager was on hand or would contact me, this was most upsetting. I had no desire to change hotels for my final night and no compensation was offered.

The hotel ran out of hot water for a few hours two days in a row during our stays. The staff also didn’t change the bed sheets and forgot to take out our garbage.
4.2
the elevator has to be replaced because is really small
4.2
When we arrived there was no one at reception. Called reception no answer. After 5 minutes member of staff appeared. As gold member should have had a free drink but the hotel has no bar or restaurant! How is this a 4 star hotel? No one at the hotel spoke English at all. Shower was weak and Luke warm and there was a lot of white noise in the room making it difficult to sleep. Overall not a great experience.

The property was pretty but it did not have parking at all. When I was ther I asked the recepcionist about the parking, I was prepared to pay for it, but she told me that they only have 10 spaces for parking an they where busy. I dont undertand why in the Epedia Page they put thay they have parking an they did not. I think Expedia have to check the properties before they put them in the Page. It is not valid for the customers
4.2
The property has nice and clean but .some of the manager were mean. I did-not like how people were asked their room number before they can eat . I also didnot like how they treated me when I ask them for a bag of tea. After all the money I spend there what is a bag of tea? Honestly
4.2
Nice hotel, took ages and multiple attempts to get through on the phone. Underground car park in side street nearby difficult to access but very secure and a comfort when you have a car full of stuff. Room v comfy and missing tea bags and coffee. Renovations meant much of the hotel was dust sheeted but the breakfast room was really interesting old style. Buffet breakfast was fine but, in truth, nothing special. Staff v friendly but quite thin on the ground leaving Reception vacant for quite long periods. Happy to stay again but the 4 star rating must be in anticipation or based on the aged 19th C decor.
4.2
Excellent location for exploring Angers. Lovely room.Underground parking available at extra cost.
4.2
This is a really nice building, classical European on a lively street near the centre of Angers. The decor is what you might call ... tired! I would recommend it based on the price and “dont be too fussy”
4.2
Highly recommended. Hotel staff was so friendly, and rooms are very nice!!
4.2
Our room was quite small, but very clean and warm and chic, with an extremely comfortable bed. It was triple glazed with great sound-proofing! The lift is old and quirky - in keeping with an old building, but worked perfectly. We saw several receptionists during our stay, and everyone was helpful and courteous. We ate in the restaurant for one night and the food was good and well presented. The location is absolutely perfect for shopping, sightseeing or just taking in the atmosphere of this beautiful city. Parking is in a secure, underground car park just around the corner from the hotel. It is reasonably priced and we felt our car and contents were safe there. We would recommend this hotel - our Room 243 had a fabulous view over the square, fountain and park.
4.2
The service was very good from the staff, but the hotel is older and there was a distinct smell on my floor that was obvious when you got off the elevator. The bed was comfortable, but the shower stall was very small!
4.2
This must be the worst hotel I‘ve ever stayed in. We reserved two rooms for two nights. We checked in and all looked fine- not the most nice hotel but fine. At the first night we stayed we found BED BUGS in one of the rooms in the middle of the night. The receptionist offered a big room in exchange, we took it only to find bugs in the second room as well the same night. As we are family, and there were no other rooms in the hotel, the reception lady offered to help us move to the hotel across the street and said she will arrange refund for our rooms in the morning. When the morning came we talked to ‘hotels’ where we placed our order to receive the refund but they were told by Best Western that they will not refund us. We tried going back to the reception, and were told that there was no bed bugs found in the room only mosquitos (although we showed pictures). So if you’re thinking about staying here- please think again.

Nice modern hotel. Walking distance to the chateau. Very good restaurant if time isn’t a factor.
4.2
Super comfortable bed and it even had a bathtub! It was an extra I wasn't expecting but greatly appreciated. Only stayed one evening, but after travelling around France staying at different hotels, it was great to relax in the tub and get a full nights sleep.

My mom and I stayed in hotel D’Anjou and planned on staying one night. The lady at the front was so sweet and helped us to stay two additional nights. A co worker of hers even gave us a cooler for our wine and cups to bring to our room. Would highly recommend this hotel because the staff was wonderful!
4.2
Staff was super friendly and helpful!!! Loved the fact that there was coffee and tea on the room.
4.2
Good location close to the old town and restaurants. Friendly and helpful reception. Nice room though a bit small.
4.2
Wonderful staff who could not have been more helpful. Excellent location. The only downside was that as we stayed in a Sunday night both the restaurant and bar were closed.
4.2
Well located, and whilst on a busy street in room 234 we had no noise issues. Efficient a/c system in our room which was an upgrade from the standard queen room. Car parking is up a side street which brings you around the back of the building and you need a code to access so call in advance as parking outside the building to pop in and get directions/the code is not an option. Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff
4.2
good location. good nights sleep. nice room. hospitality tray not refreshed during stay
4.2
Excellent location and services. Fair price as well.
4.2
The only drawback is the limited parking on site, you need to reserve your spot in advance or park down the street in a garage.
4.2
Nice hotel, well-situated if a touch dated. Room was clean and comfortable.
4.2
The hotel was very well located in the city centre and not too far away from the railway station. The staff were all very helpful and polite, including the cleaners. It was very clean and the bedroom facilities were very good. The breakfast was good, with a lot of choices and the staff there were always on hand to look after you.
4.2
nice location in Angers-would stay again-Angers is nice city
4.2
Hotel was a surprise. Looked like someone's palatial home and not a Best Western. Located on a spacious boulevard in the lovely little city of Anger, France.
4.2
No bellhop, no drop in in front of the hotel, side door condemned, my mother of 94 had to walk 3 blocks to the car with luggages in tow. Couldn't park the car in the hotel garage,...entrance too narrow, I was afraid to damage the car ( had to step out of the car to activate the door opening and by the time I got back and try to maneuver, the door closed and would have hit the hood , luckily I backed up in the neck of time. Elevator outdated and tiny. The bathroom was adequate, except for the washroom door that is almost flush with the toilet bol and is awkward to get out.
I could go on, but let's say that I stayed in 3 stars hotels with better facilities.
4.2
The room was quite small and the bathroom had broken floor tiles but plenty of soaps etc. The check in receptionist was very polite and helpful. All the staff were polite. Restaurant closed on a Sunday night.
4.2
This is a very nice hotel; it has French charm and more space than you'll get in most hotels in France. I have stayed twice, once in July and once in December, and it has nice A/C in the summer. It's a quick walk from the train station, which makes it convenient, and although it's on the edge of downtown Angers, Angers is small enough that it is actually quite close to everything. If one has business at the University of Belle-Beille, the bus that goes to campus is just across the street. I will definitely stay again!
4.2
Accommodation was excellent with well sound proofed windows. The hotel felt quite luxurious. The staff could have been a bit warmer in their welcome but were polite and helpful.
