Convenient location. Parking registration is complicated as it requires scanning a QR code or texting to a number, but it doesn't confirm whether registration is done properly. Since it's charged to the room anyway, there could be other easier methods.
Room is spacious and clean overall. Bathroom is clean, but the shower curtain barely touches the bathtub so water leaks to the floor during shower.

Hotel was decent. They do charge for parking...which is through a QR Code. The rep at the counter wasn't very welcoming...No greeting...just took my credit card and CDL to process...barely looked up and made me wait until he was finished with his task on the computer. A bit older hotel compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed at. Room was pretty good size and bed comfy. Price was reasonable. Exercise room very small. They do have lots of vending machines with assortment of items. Down town San Mateo is within 1-2 miles with lots of good eats.

I usually stay here when I come go to visit my son, and if he has in-laws at his house. The distance and the location are very convenient for me. It is close to San Francisco and close to many other amenities in town.

Started out bad put got better. I ask the guy behind the desk are we supposed to pay for parking he said ya I think so. The answer was yes you are. We get to the room and it was ice cold at 10pm at night my grandkids where with me there bed had no sheets or blankets on it. Call down stairs said it will take 30 minutes to get some. Woke up in the morning had a good night sleep the room was warm all worked out good

It could have been much better, toilet paper wasn't changed, no way to close our curtains so had to improvise, called front desk about 10 times over the course of the 2 days we stayed and never answered once. Overall cleanliness was alright but no effort to clean the entire room.

My sleep was interupted bt a beeping smoke detector at 5 am front desk brought me a key and switched my room. Gave me a late checkout. Not perfect stay but they ttried to nske it easy for me.

As soon as I entered the room the smell of stale smoke filled the room. I was charged for incidentals and they were unable to reverse the charges. I'm still waiting for them to reverse it. I spent a lot of time on the phone before I got on my flight to Europe. Nobody seems to know why the gentleman at the front desk charged me. The rate was good, but this is a case of you get what you pay for.

Disappointed overall. Yes, there was parking but it's $20 per day, didn't say that when I booked. We paid for breakfast and were told that kids go free under 12, but nobody said they have order from the two choices on the kids menu. Surly service at breakfast, the menu said toast and after we waited a bit we asked if was included to be told we should have said because we actually have to specifically say that we want it. Had to ask twice for milk for tea, eggs under done for over-medium just liquidy mess. The next day we remembered to ask for toast but had to ask again twice for milk with drinks, offered a variety to teas but no English breakfast and curtly told that was all they have. Asked for sausage, got bacon and the plates sat on the pass until he sausage was ready , by then the rest of the meal was cold.
Left feeling like a scolded child.

We stayed in the large, one-bedroom unit and everything seemed fine until we went into the bedroom. The strong smell of urine was overwhelming. Asked front desk for assistance and they told us to talk to the manager in the morning (we were only there for 1 night anyway). Said manager wasn't there when we were told she would be and never called us back. Do NOT recommend.

It was a very clean and quiet environment located in a good neighborhood for the price we paid it was a great deal

The front Desk Staff Jessie was WONDERFUL! Checked me in very quickly and very caring. The hotel room exceeded my expectations, with brand new amenities, large spacious rooms, beautifully decorated hallways and new carpet. I was very pleased with my stay. I felt like I was in my own apartment. Also 10 minutes from SFO Airport !!

As an "airport" hotel, it was a $50 cab ride from the airport. Most other airport hotels had a complementary shuttle service and the Holiday Inn did not.
The room furnishings were dirty and dated. It was fairly noisy too, as right next door to the 101. Finally, the staff were pretty ineffective.

EASY ACCESS TO THE FREEWAY.

The WiFi signal is very weak and it's almost impossible to connect; the mobile data signal is also very poor.

Great choice for a family. I would also choose this hotel for a business trip. It’s quiet and staff is polite and efficient.

Had to pay for parking a suggestion was just have guests register there vehicles any other have towed away. Bummer most hotels don't.

The room was fabulous! Spacious! Bed was great and nice sized one piece king mattress and didn’t squeak
Too much:) the tv was very lightweight and didn’t have the option to connect to my phone nor have many cable channels to view. None of the local channels worked and it didn’t seem to work until
You hit channel 33. Strange and also didn’t match the channel guides the room had a fridge and microwave which was a
Plus but no utensils or
Dishware. The sofa was a sofa bed and folded out nicely but sank real deep with an adult male
Weighing 180
Just sitting on one side so that was interesting. The room was clean overall but bad a lot of dust in certain places it seemed. The counter of where the Tv sat upon seemed as if it were a dresser forced into the wall
Slot and had some
Sharp wooden pieces sticking out to the right of it but not too noticeable if you’re on the bed.
The shower was nice but the shampoo conditioner pumps were half full or
Less as after 2
Nights there it was already emptying out but of course we didn’t do room
Clean so our fault. The one thing about the shower that wasn’t good was the inner liner was too short and overlapped over the tub side and always flooded the floor after showering. Otherwise great stay great parking areas at $20/night and paid through an app. The bedroom
Area of this one bedroom
Suite has very horrible internet so I had to sit
On the couch most of the time if I needed wifi to be steady. Otherwise great location to the freeway great staff!

Where to begin...
Check-in: Front desk staff were chatting with each other so much I wasn't sure whether girl was addressing me or the guy next to her. Barely any eye contact with guest.
Room: Bare bones. Trash liner was draped on side so I guess it's up to the guest to place it on trash can? Clock was unplugged. Printed channel guide did not match actual channels on TV. Worst of all, sink leaked...an old problem as evidenced by the makeshift contraption underneath with a sponge meant to absorb the leak (why not fix the damn leak?) Alerted front desk but sink still leaked when I got back. At this point I just put towels on floor to absorb the water.
Service: Room was not serviced even though I removed the privacy tag before 1PM. Tried housekeeping and front desk on phone several times but no answer and not accepting voicemail (!). Had to go down to front desk...again.
Checkout: Again, staff was more interested in chatting with other guests than addressing me. I asked for receipt to be emailed and was told it would be in my inbox "in 5 minutes". Two hours later, still waiting.
I would advice prospective guests to keep looking elsewhere. This was an abysmal stay.

We didn’t spend the night because we found a big spider coming down from the sealing and my wife didn’t feel comfortable staying so I informed that to the front counter and the guy there didn’t show any signs of urgency or concern about it he didn’t offer another room so we decided to check out and leave !

The worst hotel in the world.
Not only in the USA.
I was surprised that such a terrible staff.
The one of staff manners are the worst.

Was initially given a room that housekeeping had not finished. Was moved to another room, but was frustrating as I had to get ready for a business dinner.

I like the hotel but dudnt like the area around it as it didnt feel safe or confirtable at night.

I stayed here for a couple of nights, the place needs an update like yesterday. The service wasn’t bad or good just average, the girl at the restaurant seem to hate her life and the $50 breakfast was def not worth it. They want to charge you $3 per coffee refill when you have free coffee in the lobby. The bed was comfortable but the rooms are musty and dingy. Curtains are torn, wallpaper is falling g apart, carpet has runs and it’s lifted. Mediocre would be my word for this place.
