I was planning to visit Oktoberfest, but about 10 days before the trip, my father was admitted to the ICU. I contacted the hotel to request a cancellation, but they denied it as the request was made past the cancellation deadline. Unable to attend, I had to change the guest name for the stay. However, two days before the check-in date, the hotel sent a message demanding immediate payment, stating that if payment wasn't made, they would cancel the reservation. At that point, we had no choice but to pay, as the airfare had already been purchased. There are two issues with how this was handled. First, when I originally booked the hotel, the agreement was that payment would be made on-site. Second, it seems unfair that while the guest is unable to cancel past a certain deadline, the hotel can still cancel at any time. The way the hotel responded to this situation was far from graceful.

We stayed in Platzl Hotel for 3 nights on a family vacation. Location was excellent, out the door and you're walking distance to all the attractions. Breakfast was delicious, parking righ underneath the hotel, sayna, gym our kids loved. It was nothing bad i can say only that at night with the open windows you can hear the street noise a bit but hey you're right in the middle of the city its part of the experience. We had a great time and loved the stay! We would come back again and recommend this hotel for sure.

Great stay here! Amazing room and staff is even better. Loved the Manager. He was super cordial and took time to inform us of all. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again.

Small, damp and smelly room with barely enough space to walk around. Tiny odd poorly designed bathroom. Bed was uncomfortable and caused me hives and itching all night long. Location is the only thing I can say this hotel had going for it.

We had a great experience staying in the hotel. The location is unbeatable, and service is excellent. The breakfast is great. We were also surprised by the free drinks in mini-bar (one fill). The only minor thing is that our room still has a little bit of smoking smell.

The hotel is under construction, of course nobody tell you this when you do the booking. Next to my room, same hallway from 07h45 in the morning until 19h00 heavy construction work. Impossible to stay in the room, to relax, to work. Finished with headhache. Staff at breakfast are nice and helpful. Lack of staff at reception you wait too long. Will not come back to this hotel again.

Platzle is undergoing lobby renovation. This made the lobby and bar express than pleasant. The room and bath were updated, however, the old wood floors and drab colors made it seem old. Location was great. Staff was terrific Outstanding breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights. We were woken up at 7am to decorators working in the room next door. Hammering, drilling etc. This was very annoying but to be fair, it only happened on the first morning and the receptionist was very apologetic. There was no tea (other than green tea, Earl Grey or Mint Tea). The beverages were not restocked at all for the entire stay. Now the positives. The location is great. A short walk from the hustle and bustle of Marienplatz. The room had everything we could need and was spacious. The bathroom was modern and practical but did not have a bath. The mini bar had a complementary bottle of coke, still water, sparkling water and a couple of beers. The bed was comfy and most importantly (according to my wife) the room and bathroom were clean. We would go back but would bring a few Yorkshire Tea bags!!

Wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Munich. Location is key. Hofbrauhaus is directly behind the hotel and Marienplatz Sbahn stop is a 3 minute walk. Staff is wonderful - friendly and professional. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are adequately sized and air-conditioned. Bathroom/shower were nice as well.

Beautiful place, excellent location. Breakfast was pricey as it was not included -34€. Everything you could possibly want, including a juicer! I used the fitness center, nicely equipped. I did not use the sauna as it was 94 degrees out, it was a really nice space. In highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel very clean and excellent staff. Location is great a block from Hofbrauhaus and Marienplatz. 10 minute walk from main Munich Train Station. Would stay there again!

Everything was great. Perfect location, great staff. I was only there for 14 hours, but got good rest and had a fun time in the bar. Blonde haired young gentleman, maybe Johnathon, was quite skilled and very pleasant. We had a group from K.C., Chicago, Texas drinking late and he made it a blasts. Front desk ladies were very accommodating. Rooms are impeccable, lots of nice touches.

Overall we really liked this hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Just as a heads up, fourth floor rooms are under the gym and spa facilities, expect some noise.
