Really great location- balcony, view of sea. Great customer service, parking lot, microwave and fridge in room, spacious, clean- everything was wonderful.

Hotel is convenient to many shops and restaurants. Our room was large, clean and newly updated. Only bad side was you could hear traffic from the highway.

Great location. Clean rooms. The double bed room has a lot of space. One thing to keep in mind is that one side of the hotel is right next to the freeway, so if you are a light sleeper the constant car noise may be an issue. The guy who checked us in was not very helpful. He did not give us any info of the property and amenities. For example there is a marketplace with water, snacks and convenience items that we didn’t know about until halfway through our stay.

Have stayed here before. Team are great, hotel is a little aged. Would I stay again? As a loyal customer for over 10 years, it is a shame the Hotels.com have devalued their rewards program by 80%. So probably not.

Upon checking in and going to our room, our room was under construction and unable to be lived in. When I went back to the front, there were no more like rooms available. They had to scramble to figure out a room situation since the hotel was at capacity.

Great stay for a beach weekend. Easy access to downtown San Clemente and right off the freeway. The room was a bit outdated but clean. Elevators are quite old and take long. Parking is free and underground but can run out of spots quickly.

The Volare by Ascent is a nice Hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. It is within walking distance of great food, entertainment and shopping. It is freeway close but quiet if you stay on the north west side of the hotel. Overall a great experience.

Great location for San Clemente at the top of the main drag for restaurants and shops. It’s an easy walk to dining, shopping and about a mile downhill to the beach. The free trolley runs from across the road to all parts of San Clemente. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The Superior Room I got was upgraded recently with nice amenities and it was spacious and comfortable.

We always get a room on the ocean side. The other side gets freeway noise. Nice place. Clean, quiet if you get the right room. Close to downtown San Clemente. Walkable.

Perfect location to get to the central shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good water pressure in showers. Parking free and at the hotel. Would have been good if they had a cafe. Overall good. No frills and fluff.

The hotel was very good. The poor is very hard to find - need better signage. Also, we had a room with a jacuzzi tub but the jets didn't work. Staff were busy so we didn't address it and it wasn't a huge problem, but should be fixed.

I didn’t like that there was only one elevator the pool was freezing. The jacuzzi was gross. It had a brown film on the surface and it looked like dead skin floating around in there. When I complained about it, I was told it had just been cleaned a few hours before. No way! It was disgusting

Property was kept very clean. Tried to check-in at 1:15 pm and was told it would cost $50 before 4:00. That was terrible.

We very much enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel but our room had a patio where the air conditioning unit flooded while on, on the patio and into the room. I contacted the front desk abouth the issue and while polite they told me because I booked through a 3rd parity they wouldn't do much to help me. It was very late in the evening and even just a room change without the flood would have been nice. They told me to contact hotels.com about my stay but it was unlikely any changes or price reductions would be made. I also let them know my shoes were soaked with water after stepping out onto the patio and they suggested i buy new ones and send them a receipt. Im unfamiliar with these protocols for a hotel. It wasn't the worst stay but I'm upset with how the problems felt ignored.

We loved walk down Del Mar for shopping, food and craft beers. We also walked to the free Concert on the beach that was really fun. My only complaint was the workout facilities was not on site.
