The room was beautiful. However the tub did not drain properly and the shower head was broken.

I was charged $14.03 for incidentals but when I checked in I noticed a bottle was missing from the minifridge. I didn't think of anything about it until I got a charge after checking out. I think I was charged for a bottle of alcohol that I didn't drink and that was not rightfully charged to the prior guest.
Also, I ordered room service. It was over two hours late! At least they were honest that they forgot about my order, so I gave 2 stars for service rather than 1. Instead of comping the meal they offered me a piece of cheese cake and a glass of bland wine (I am not even a wine drinker).

We were treated exceptionally well. We were in for a show at Xcel Energy Center and stayed here due to the location and price. Highly recommend the valet service. The room was nice and gave an old world charm. Will definitely return.

Quick weekend trip to visit family. Hotel was great - wonderful location, friendly staff, great restaurant, lobby bar and downstairs restaurant.

I love staying at the St. Paul Hotel. I will repeat myself, but I don't need the Mariott points, I"d rather thoroughly enjoy the hotel experience. This hotel will not dissapoint you. Service is excellent. The valet team is great.
Excellent restaurant and bar on site. Grand lobby is very elegant, brass elevators, big spacious room. I stay here whenever I'm traveling in MN. Come check it out.

Elegant hotel nicely updated but still rich in its history.

The stay was amazing! And such great service! Will be coming back again

We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was booked solid, and elevators were running slow, so hotel personnel made sure to escort guests to the service elevator to help speed up wait time.
Room was comfortable, clean, and very nice.
The only issue was the attitude of the hostess of the St Paul Grill. We asked if they had room for us and she gave us a very rude “noooo” twice while shaking her head and giving us an incredulous look. No need to be disrespectful. We did end up finding a spot at the bar to eat and the service was very good despite being busy.
Everyone else was super personable and we were treated very nice.
Thats one area they definitely excel in. How they treat you is something special.

Predictable excellence

Beds need some major help! Old style! Pillows horrible! And the smell of bleach on the pillow cases and sheets was hard to deal with. The air conditioner made a horrible noise when it shut down.

I stayed in the Ambassador Suite, which was lovely. Historic, huge suite with bar, and giant, comfy 4 poster bed.

Great location in an historical building. Overall 4/5 stars, one star off for the very very poor drainage in our tub. Staff was very nice and we enjoyed the other amenities in the room.

We had a lovely stay at the St Paul Hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. The staff as always were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast offered a lot of a la carte choices but we missed the buffet option.

St. Paul Hotel never disappoints from arrival to departure on class, food, beverage and a great staff!

The Saint Paul Hotel is classic for a reason. It was the perfect place to stay for a weekend, across from gorgeous Rice Park, and a quick walk from the Xcel, Cosetta, the Science Museum, and the river. Service was courteous and friendly, room was clean and nostalgic in its decor, and we’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a nice neighborhood. I usually stay in downtown Minneapolis when I have business in the Twin Cities, but I decided to try this hotel when my first choice hotel in Minneapolis was sold out. It was a fantastic decision that saved me hundreds of dollars.

They had. Keurig in the room but they charged for water. It would have been nice if they had a filtered water station at some point.

I liked the convenience of the area and how it didnt look like a typical hotel. I wasnt too fond of not being able to take our car, we arent from the area and wasn't aware of much of it

We loved staying there for a concert event at excel energy center. Room was awesome and breakfast was great. Literally the only downside was the fruit flies at breakfast which I’m sure they will handle.
