First off it's possible to get here without a car! I'm not going to explain in detail, look it up if it interests you.
The front desk told me it was okay to walk on the highway to get to trails. I DO NOT recommend this. It was extremely dangerous. I luckily found a way back that was a little safer.
As a VIP member, I'm supposed to get a bottle of wine. I don't drink so I sent the resort a message before the stay. They left me non-alcoholic sparkling apple cider on ice!
Overall the resort is like it's own little town with restaurants, a market, gas station, post office, and so much more. You really don't need to leave the resort if you didnt want to. The lake is pretty and so are the sunsets.

I had a beautiful experience for my first visit to Bass lake. I loved my cabin, the furniture is about our dated I would like an update to the couch in the living room but other than that I loved it!

The Pines Resort was perfect for what we wanted. Situated on the beautiful Bass Lake and conveniently close to Yosemite with everything you need at hand. Hiking, boating, dining, relaxation, grilling; everythinh at an affordable price with great service by the helpful and welcoming staff.

The staff was friendly. The dining was good. The property was old and dirty. They have a beach of the pool and the chalets are dog friendly, however, the dogs were using the beach to relieve themselves. There was trash everywhere. We expected more from a $400 a night stay. They should be more mindful of these things. We rented a boat and got motion sick and they would not refund us our money for the additional 2 hours we paid for. They had a party somewhere and the music being played was from 10:00 am 8:00 PM. with no regard to the other guests. Sadly we will likely not go and stay there again.

Our room overlooked the lake and it was beautiful to wake up and look out. I liked that it was like a little town where you can walk around and do grocery shopping or just go to a restaurant. If your going to visit Yosemite I would recommend this place

Best chateau

The grounds were maintained well. Shops were nice. Our chalet was okay, needed better kitchen pots, and silverware. Also it would have been nice to know prior to arrival that only has charcoal grill and not gas. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable.

Facilities and rooms very nice. Staff very courteous. My only negative was that maintenence could have been better.

The area around the resort, hiking trails, and beaches were full of litter. The resort itself was very clean.
The bar close to our room started playing music at 7 am so we had to close the door and windows.

We had a blast and totally enjoyed our two nights. I couldn’t figure out the tv and they sent someone within 15 mins to get it fixed. Can’t wait to stay again

Based on the price of the cottage,we expected nice quality toilet paper, paper towels but it was thin and cheap, easily torn. There was no extra paper towel, no extra tissue paper. I pulled one tissue and there was no more in the box. Nevertheless, the area was nice, bed was comfortable. It was nice that there were hotel workers around, we were a little scared of bears 😳 but we didn’t see any. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed dining with live music. One thing though, we thought we have free breakfast but the VIP is only free bottle of wine. They said expedia advertised it wrong. But we’re thankful that the lady gave us $20 voucher. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thank you everyone!💕

I love the pines because they are a true lake resort, so I understand the 500/night for a chalet. However I was not expecting another 1000 for food.

Absolutely beautiful spot with all the right amenities. Delicious coffee at the coffee shop, gas station on the premises, restaurants, boat rentals, and beautiful scenery. Shelly feels very cozy and very comfortable mattresses.

Easy check in and great property. The pool was a great way to cool off on our first day! And we enjoyed the food at Ducey’s. Good service too

Resort was nice. The chalets were a lot more rustic than the photos depicted. The downstairs reminded me of the shining, furniture was very worn down as well as the picnic table on the balcony. The “beach area” was also very swampy. Overall would return with different expectations.

It was great! Everyone was so friendly and it seemed like they really cared about their rooms and property. We actually wished we could have stayed an extra night, but we had to get on with our adventure 😄

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff was friendly and the accommodation 10/10.
We stayed in lodge 123 and the only draw back was a noisy A/c machine in the bedroom went noisy every hour or soo so that it woke us

Enjoy our quick trip up to Bass Lake. Very quiet this time of year which we enjoyed. Cabin was a little cold at first and we couldn’t get the heater to work but had an extra blanket and were warm enough. Food at the restaurant was very yummy for breakfast and dinner. Loved the views.

This is a great place to enjoy New Year's Eve!!! The only suggestion I would make would be for them to replace the sofa and supply more barware (e.g. wine glasses!).
