I used to love this property, but it’s all about college students as dorm. The room had no heater and no extra blankets. The bathroom door was off its hinges and the room door so scuffed… not for parents but for party ;)

Maid service was unintrusive and excellent. The maid asked what service was required and did it efficiently.
Early check-in was provided which helped me greatly.

I have stayed at the Collegian twice before. It is so convenient to Campus. I flew the first time and drove the second. I prefer to fly. That is the main reason I chose the Collegian. The gentleman who picked me up on Saturday was so friendly and nice. He even got distilled water for my CPAP when both CVS and the Corner Market were out. I was disappointed when I was not able to get a ride to the airport when I was leaving and I had to call an expensive taxi instead. I get people become sick (especially given Syracuse's crazy weather), but maybe you should have a back-up plan instead.

The blanket had stains on it, there was not hot water, and no toilet paper

For the price, this hotel was very disappointing. It is very old, dirty, and needs a lot of upgrades. For $400 a night one would expect towels, however our room was equipped only with VERY scratchy hand towels and washcloths. The walls were dirty and hallway smelled very strongly of some sort of unpleasant cleaner. The location was great for what we were doing (saw a concert at the dome) but if not for that I would not stay here again.

Staff were wonderful. Very kind and helpful. Fridge was not clean/had mildew in it. Shower did not have hot water. Bed was very comfortable.

Do NOT stay here. Sure, you cant beat the location, but that is the only saving grace. When first walking into the room, it was humid and had a mildew smell. The sheets had several holes and you couldn't the A/C off. As such, we requested a blanket, which had several stains on it. It's an older building with VERY so you hear everything. There are plenty of other hotels within walking distance to campus...stay there!

Always a comfortable stay. Ample parking and walk to Syracuse university, and local restaurants and popular Marshall at stores and quick bite places. Property needs upgrades in general. Hotel restaurant with good and convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Nice location close to JMA Wireless dome.

We liked the quiet room, very friendly staff and restaurant on site. There were little details that coud be improved on, but given the age of the building not a big issue. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I travel to Syracuse often, and have stayed at this hotel many, many times in the last 20 years. This may have been the last time however, considering the extremely rude way I was treated upon check in on Friday night. I had done the pre-check in and only needed to pick up our room key, but upon our arrival there was nobody working at the front desk, or anywhere in the lobby. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I saw Karen, who apparently works at the bar. I asked if there was anyone who could help me, and she opened up a big mouth, rolled her eyes and berated me in front of other guests who were in the dining room, and told me to just wait, because " I wasn't the only person in the hotel". Absolutely uncalled for and obnoxious. It started the weekend off on a very bad note, I never received an apology, and I do not think we will be back. In addition, we were charged $10 per night to park, although after the football game the lot was packed full, and most of the cars did not have a hotel pass on the dashboard, leading me to believe that the lot is not monitored and many people parked for free.

The staff at the front desk, especially Teela, was very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were clean. However, the only complaint I would have is that the lobby and rooms smelled old. Not moldy or of anything specific, just not fresh. I would stay here again. The price was very good.

The pictures are a bit out of date. It is a decent hotel, but it smelled rather musty and damp and definitely wasn’t as updated or well kept as it appears in the pictures. It was fine. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the people were nice, but for the price, I can’t say I’ll make an effort to stay there again.

Not worth the cost because of the quality of the room and property (the staff was really very good - so friendly). Room was run down. Beds didn’t appear to have springs, mirror was cracked, other things were run down in the room and the elevator smelled.

Property was clean, conveniently located and affordable for our one- night stay.

Good location and great parking relative to University but the unit requiered cleaning and upkeep

Probably needs new management. Every day I found a bug. The public bathrooms downstairs need cleaned. The air conditioning system needs to be updated to the 21st century. No continental breakfast, disappointing— definitely could have one but a restaurant instead. At least the lobby is decent and people have a good attitude.

pro: Hotel was good, staff were very friendly and quick.
Con: The rooms were average cleanliness (could have used a bit more wipe down on surfaces) and the bed and pillows were not super comfortable, I would suggest to bring a pillow.
Overall stay was decent.

The rooms were very small. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. The lobby and gym were nice and the staff were excellent.
