The hotel doesn't have an elevator. The carpet is very old. No hair dryer in the room. No customer service.

The lady at the desk was super super friendly and very helpful. I booked on expedia and wasnt aware of deposits taken at the time of check out.. she was very generous and waived the deposit just so i can sleep before making a long commute.

Property was not clean. The room we stayed in had stains on the sheets and curtains. There was only one towel that didn’t have hair on it and the bathroom was also not clean with black specs running down the shower walls. The washcloth holding soaps and shampoo was also stiff, had hair, and looked very dirty. Holes in the bathroom door.

It smelled like Marihuana, also very dirty and dusty. Front desk receptionist was very unprofessional.

It wasn’t the greatest , looks like they’ve tried to do upgrades but definitely an older hotel.

Do NOT stay here!! There were people rooting through the trash and a man shooting up outside the hotel. We checked out early to move to a safer spot. We asked for a refund and were never granted one.

The staffs always so kind, it’s safe, clean and very comfortable. My two toddlers are always very happy when we come to the Waterloo inn. So if you are by yourself or have children it’s a great place to check out feels like a second home.

I love staying at the Waterloo inn with my family for a few reasons. First it’s in Stockton but you really don’t feel so in a good way there’s no crime, it’s quiet and safe. Such a great change from the horrible hotels I’d unfortunately gone to before in Stockton glad I found the Waterloo inn. It’s conveniently by the freeway, plenty of food spots and a few gas stations. Yet sort of a hidden gem tucked off towards the back. One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever been to, definitely will be back. The staff feels like you’re interacting with long time friends they’re very kind and helpful, I highly recommend.

This place was horrible! Ive spent alot of time in motels/hotels over the past few years and this was definitely top 5 worst out of all of them. It was a last minute thing during the last legs of our 14 hour drive frim idaho to California for a family emergency. My husband had been driving for over 10 hours and we decided to just get a cheap room to crash for a few hours and start fresh in the morning.. Well i hastily chose the cheapest option closest to the freeway. Got there and upon checking in I declared my dog (as I always do to avoid any unnecessary charges). Now mind u this is NOT an ESA-He is a SERVICE DOG. I have PTSD and he is trained to help me by calming my anxiety attacks. He is 5 years old and as i mentioned weve spent alot of time in alot of hotels/motels over the course of his 5 years. Ive never once recieved a complaint or any hassles from any one in any of the places weve stayed. As a matter of a fact he is loved by all and welcomed everywhere we go. I am fully aware of the federal law that exempts sevice animals from pet fees and deposits and i am also very aware of the incredulous number of people who exploit and abuse that law for non service animals. The front dest clerk insisted on arguing with me in regards to whether he was exempt and charged me a pet fee!! I let it slide as we were too tired to argue with an uneducated person. Fortunately in the morning when i spoke with the manager he explained and refunded the fee. But i wont be staying there again

We had two prostitutes and a pimp stay across from the hallway with us when I was on a softball tournament for my daughter had to call the police two times was up till two in the morning then a bunch of people came in alarm sounding and two cat bites outside our window. It was disgusting. There was pee on our towels, and it was the worst experience hotel I’ve ever had I do not ever recommend this to anybody ever anytime anyhow

A#1 staff was great.
UNFORTUNATELY this is the most bare bones property I've EVER stayed at in the US or overseas. It is a shelter with a bed. No desk. No legitimate furniture. Outside premised and windows feel like an abandoned warehouse. Go here to sleep... (I'm afraid to have slept on the bed and have yet to do it I will do lots more reviews by word of mouth as the people who came to visit me in the area were so distraught over the premises they said they would avoid it and tell others.

I don't know what folks look for when they choose a hotel. I needed a place that took dogs. I have two, very small toy poodles. I also hate places that smell like old carpet.
Now the Waterloo Inn is not luxury. If you want to pay more for that then you go somewhere else. The staff here is EXTREMELY friendly! I have been to many expensive hotels and the staff were less than kind. My room had a bare floor which I loved! My dogs had no issues with wanting to mess on the floors because they were clean. My bed was extremely comfortable. I will easily stay here again!
