I was attempting to engage the cleaning lady in a conversation to let her know that I was checking out and that she could go ahead and clean my room. She spoke no English and did not understand a word I was saying....I would suggest that you place signage at the top of the property so that you can see it at a distance

We stay here years ago like when the hotel was freshly new. I don’t know what happened, if it’s under a different management or something. But, We could smell marijuana all in the hallway once we open our room door. I thought this was a no smoking facility. The bathroom was dated and needs to be upgraded the toilet sit to low especially for older people like me with back issues. And the tub look like it had little black mold spots around it. The tub looked like it was dirty with a dirt ring around it. The building inside just looks tied. But we endured for 3 days. Never again.

Hotel could use an update. The hallways were dingy, doors often had chipped paint, stains on the carpet. Room was clean, but tired. There was a large gap between bottom of door so the hallway light spilled into the room. Door stuck and had to be pushed hard to open and close. Stayed here once before last year, room then was in a better condition. Elevators small, slow and seemed bumpy. Staff was nice and check in was smooth

Hotel is great location for driving right off the tollway and shopping and eating. Ask for room to be away from bar. Giordano’s Pizza next door across the street from Costco. Elevator. Limited parking in rear and side of hotel. It’s a high rise building. Jump right back on tollway and get to downtown, ORD or MDW airports.

Toilet seat was broken , shower was loud ( squeaked the whole time ) , sink was shaky and very loose) , howeverrrrrrrerrrr if you need somewhere to stay to lay your head in a easy area , not bad however not worth the price ….

Visited here for a staycation. Doesnt take much to please me lol. Got a king room on the 6th floor. Very spacious clean, quiet and comfortable. I will say some floors/elevators were hot but the A/C in the rooms were great. Although bar louie is in the hotel, I was still able to find parking and wasnt disturbed by visitors. Paid to have breakfast included but only made it one day..not sure if they switch things up but it was a small buffet style with options of toast, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, coffee, OJ, water, sausage, french toast, eggs, potatoes, and bacon. Staff Was very helpful and accomodating. There is a pool but its more for kids, 3 to 4ft, however adults can still chill and conversate by or in the pool. There are stores and other resturants in walking distances however, if you explore out to other options its not a far car ride. All in all, we had a great time and a wonderful staycation. Id book here again.

I recommend asking for a room away from the bar inside the hotel, if you don't want to be disturbed by the loud music. It would be great, if staff informed parents that their children need to be with them at all times, not roaming the hotel by themselves.

I didn't appreciate the staff speaking to each other in front of us in a foreign language. My husband works for the government and could make out enough words to know it wasn't polite. While the rooms were fine, although totally different in size, even though I booked both at the same time, the tubs and showers definitely need updating. The 5th floor smelled like weed no matter the time, day or night and we were traveling with kids. Then we were given a late checkout, however it myst not have been entered into the computer bevause I received a phone call asking when we were leaving, while we were still in the hotel. Good location though.

I stayed at this hotel from July 19-21st in room 544 and to be very truthful this hotel needs to be looked at. The elevators are unsafe, the rooms need to be cleaned better. On Saturday I had the pleasure of having a family with two children stay next to my room. The amount of noise from 5pm to 12:30 midnight was absolutely insane! The child -possibly 2 or 3yrs old was screaming, banging the adjacent door to my room and when I called the front desk about the noise I was cut off mid sentence and supposedly management went to deal with the issue. Sunday before checking out the fire alarm went off, nothing was said to anyone in there rooms and I had to take the stairs due to the elevator not working. This hotel needs a FULL makeover, there is no way that this hotel is in Oak Brook! This hotel is basically for people who get drunk in the Bar downstairs and need a place to crash!

My Refrigerator did not work, the room smelled ,chair was missing out of room went to the front desk, they advised they couldn’t change my room due to basketball tournament rooms were sold out, other customers were complaining as well. Got stuck on the elevator, no air on the elevator, (car 3) had to get off on another floor to take another elevator. Paid for breakfast with my room, food was cold and had to ask for food to be refilled. While checking out, fire alarm went off. Advise the front desk of my experience and all he said was sorry. Would not recommend

Duped by the “Holiday Inn” name. The only reason we stayed is because the room was clean. All public spaces of the hotel are not clean, and very poorly updated/renovated. The restaurant/bar is SO extremely loud it made being in the lobby area unbearable. I had a hard time even hearing the front desk employee over all noise. (We were on an upper floor and could not hear that in our room). Furniture in lobby area is very well used. Needs cleaning or better yet, simply replaced. The outdoor seating area was a joke. Large area but only 3 very small round tables and a handful of chairs. The cute strung up lighting was adorable, but only 1/4 of all the lights worked. Trash strewn about (including beer bottles). If you arrive at the hotel after 5pm good luck finding a parking spot in the large lot. When I asked about the parking situation the front desk employee did apologize but told me there was nothing he could do. He said it was probably due to Bar Louie customers. The lot is large and seems more than adequate for the size of the hotel. He said it’s a known problem but didn’t offer any solutions. Front desk staff was friendly. Housekeeping was attentive and requests were fulfilled promptly. Location is great. Plenty of food and shopping.

The stay overall was good. Wasn’t far from the city, the hotel was clean and spacious. The room had everything we needed. My only complaint was the toilet. The counter came over top of the back of it too much so the lid wouldn’t stay open when you needed to use it. It was super annoying. Other than that it was good.

The pool was closed, one of the elevators wasn’t working, there was a ringing sound in the bathroom, the pillows were flat. However they had a great breakfast with fresh fruit, and lots of seating. There was a restaurant/bar attached(Bar Louie)

The room was fine. It was clean, but it smelled musty and it was damp went down to the front desk. They quickly got me into another room that room was not cleaned so I had to go back down to the desk this time the front desk clerk came up with me and that room smelled musty And mildew. Went back down grabbed another key for another room in that room was tolerable, but it still had a little little bit of a smell.
