The hotel is currently being renovated but it wasn't noisy at all. They have a lovely new pool & dining room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room had been newly renovated, it was clean, comfortable and spacious and it actually had a kettle. Great location, near the beach, lots of dining options close buy and the old town is walkable.

For the price, very good. Friendly staff. Clean room. Great and quiet location, even on the ground floor. Good breakfast. Pool was adequate. 2 mins from the beach. Very happy with our three night stay.

Nice hotel with very helpful staff
Breakfast is not great ,very small breakfast room for so many guests
Rooms are clean although they are not as quiet as they say they are and for us it was strange have a glass door to the bathroom
If you have a room with a sea view the view will be great but be prepared for the road noise
The area around the hotel is a bit run down but with some great family run restaurants
This hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions

The hotel is situated in the outskirts of the newer part of town, located in near proximity to the beach. There is a lot of good restaurants and bars nearby. However no noisy bars close to the hotel, so the surrounding area is quiet at night.
Breakfast was good enough(standard buffet)
Our hotel room was sparsely decorated. It had old furniture, a tiny TV, fridge and only two power outlets. There was also a safe (for an extra charge). The AC was working sufficient under our whole stay, but a bit too noisy. The bathroom however is small and in was in need of a upgrade. (especially the tiles in the shower). The balcony was equipped with two chairs and a table, and racks for drying bath towels. Cleaning could be improved. The free wifi was unstable during our stay. Personally I think the 4 stars is a bit of a stretch.

The hotel suits us very well, particularly its location and the panoramic views from its balconies.

Well located clean hotel. Well working AC, safe, decent shower, good bed. I really liked the variety of the breakfast. We stayed in the main building and had a lot of space and a small balcony. Our friends’ room was in a newer part and was smaller (we had same room type booked).
Majority of the staff was nice and helpful apart from one person being a bit grumpy every single day.
The actual disadvantage was the street view - we were located on a 2nd floor and had a wreck of a building in front of us (not the hotel’s fault, nonetheless worth mentioning).
Also, bizarrely the shower gel wasn’t provided every day, so it was slightly annoying having to ask for it every time we got back.
Overall though, we were very happy with our room , its cleanliness and politeness of the staff.

Close to a nice sandy beach. Breakfast has lots of choices and changed a bit every day. Hotel was quiet. Check in was quick.
Be aware there is a charge of 5 euro a day for a chair on the beach and a tourist tax of 3 euro per day per room.

I liked how close it was to the beach and thought the breakfast was excellent. Good choice of hot and cold food as well as plenty of fruit. I didn't like how tiny the pool is and the bad smell around it. I think it was the a problem with drainage. Needless to say, we didn't use the pool at all, but others did. It is also a building site, as some rooms are still being constructed. Our room was 2 rooms knocked together with a separating wall in the middle. One floor was at least 2 feet higher than the other with very deep and dangerous steps requiring a hand rail on the wall for stability. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I ever go back.

we arrived late afternoon having booked a superior double room with shower on booking in we asked if the room had a walk in shower .we were told that it only had a shower over the bath (ie. not suitable for anyone with a disability

Agla hotel had informed us that they were not open at the time we booked so offered us 2 other hotels to choose from and we picked Semiramis city hotel. The staff were super friendly and polite. The room was good, the wc/shower was very small. We had a problem with the room heating and the fixed it immediately. So overall we were happy with the hotel.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable short break at the Agla hotel. Staff were very helpful and spoke more than one language fluently.
Great location- one road back from the sea front and within walking distance of both the old city and the new commercial area and port.
It is worth being aware that if you arrive by coach, the coach will be unable to reach the hotel, so luggage has to be carried about 100 metres.

Had a phenomenal time! My hubby and I stayed for our honeymoon and were thrilled. From the warmth of the ladies at check-in to the super accommodating kitchen that had goodies for us the morning of our early departure - the staff were flawless. The balcony had a great sunset view from our place and (small detail) but was nice our suitcase could slide under the bed when open. Room felt spacious, AC worked like a dream and the room was really clean. If staying - would highly recommend including the breakfast. It was a really nice mix of yogurts, cereal, fruits, veg and warm food - even a mimosa station!

Very nice stay in a pleasant hotel. The staff were wonderful, so helpful and kind. Good value. Wish we could give it four and a half stars. Did find the air conditioning temperamental but we foolishly never asked for help with it.

Stayed with a group of friends and all of us enjoyed the facilities from the bar to the pool and restaurant.
Restaurant was a bit basic in layout but with good hot and cold buffet and attentive staff.
Bedroom that I had was near kitchen so I knew what was cooking and when the bins were going out! But clean and adequate.

Stayed 2 weeks in this hotel September 2015 have had a great stay. Our room was on 5th floor Room 511 with a sea view and we had an amazing view of the sunset every night. All staff were brilliant and blonde lady in restaurant was amazing very helpful and always cheerful nothing was too much trouble for her.
Breatkfast - Varied and lots to choose from so could really have a good meal to start the day. Various eggs (boiled, scrambled, omelette, fried, poached), eggy bread, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes. Various breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, cakes, pies, fruit, salads, quiche, and much more.
Rooms - Maid service was every day and if required towels changed every day. Small fridge and safe in room. TV in room is a small portable and I did recommend that they would benefit on having a larger TV maybe flat screen in the rooms but this was not a problem because Rhodes is lovely so not in room that much. There was no kettle in room and again i recommended this would benefit this hotel but I did ask at the reception if I could have one and this was not an issue and one was in my room on my return at no extra cost.
You can walk along beach front all the way to the town center it is a very nice walk and takes approx 20 mins but there is a quicker way which only takes approx 10 mins just ask reception and they will tell you the quickest way. There are lots of restaurants around this hotel we use to alternate our evening meals one in the hotel area & town area

Hotel was in a good position, only 10min walk to old town, and one row from the front of the beach.
A little more investment is needed in the hotel, the bed was hard, the air con was in poor condition, which meant we was not sleeping too good.
Value for money is OK, but they could be a lot better.

We stayed two nights at this hotel at the end of our holiday. The hotel is a good 3 star, the decoration is a little tired but the room and bed was comfortable with everything you would expect except tea making facilities, if I had done more research before I booked I would have gone somewhere which does have a kettle etc in the room: amazing how these little details make all the difference. There is a nice pool area and the hotel is situated in in a quiet (although rather tatty) road near to the beach and only a short walk to bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the coffee was good, unlike many other places in Rhodes!

Good position 10min walk to old town- room average-only one power point-hv to pay for safe-wifi not in room unless pay

Hotel generally OK, but no point advertising having a fridge in rooms, when they only work if your in the room and you have your room key in socket to power everything. Once you leave everything goes off. I am all up for saving the planet, but at least the fridge should be on permanently. But otherwise not a bad little hotel.
Also believed that when booked we were going to have a better view, sea or pool view, but disappointed because given the back street :(
2.0
The hotel was pleasing enough to look at but the room had only 2 sockets which were beside the balcony and one had a small fridge plugged into it (which only worked when the door key was placed in it's slot) and they were on the complete opposite side of the room to the mirror, so I couldn't see right to straighten my hair therefore my hair was just put up in a ponytail the whole 2 wks I stayed there. It also stated that they had a hairdryer....well it was more like a very small hose in the bathroom which just puffed a bit of air out at you.
I had asked within 2 days if we could keep our room on, on our last day, as our flight was at 10.30pm but did not get an answer until the very last morning and we were refused but were able to use a very small shower room at a price which I wouldn't really recommend as I needed another shower after trying to get dried and changed in it.
Online the hotel was said to be somewhere that I know very well but it was a couple of streets behind which I wasn't pleased about.

Like all the other reviewers have already said, this hotel is decent for its price and location. But the biggest negative we found was its WiFi service. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. You have to pay for WiFi if you want to use it in your room (prepaid cards for 5-10 euros a day). We opted to use their free WiFi in the lobby; however, the signal was extremely weak and it cut out every 10-15 minutes. Without warning, the connection would just break. Each time you have to reconnect, you have to enter in the username (agla) and password (hotel) - this was very tiresome! It was impossible to do any kind of work. Yes I realize most people are on holiday in Rhodes and could care less about WiFi, but some of us have work to do which requires internet service, and for a hotel to provide such shoddy service is a disgrace. Bottom line: if youre looking for a bargain room at a good location next to the beach, and dont care about WiFi, this is a place for you. (Also, the swimming pool water is terrifyingly freezing!)
