I believe that Big Bear is one of the better traditional hotels that have no crazy surprises. The bed linen is very clean. The bar and the free breakfast are OK and fairly nice. It is a 3-star hotel. Not a 4 star. They have free parking, and it is reasonably located.

The rooms on second floor required for us to bring our luggage through the stairs, elevator was not available to bring our luggage to our room. Hotel setup is strange. The rooms were cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast was alright.

Could have been so much better. For one, they need to change their beds and pillows. What they have is very uncomfortable. The front desk people were great. Room service not so much. Its by request before 10am only which doesn’t make sense. When they showed up and we were not ready, the lady gave us an attitude. Parking and location were good. Breakfast was good as well.

I had requested and provided a room with balcony for the purpose of looking out into a beautiful setting of Big Bear, Ca. But instead I would have this large piece of equipment blocking my view. I asked front desk if it could be moved, and for periods of time it would be moved, but later on in days it would be returned, and in doing so it would cover a good portion of our view.

Thin walls, noisy neighbors. Basic room. Thought it would be nicer by the lobby photos.

The BW Chateau hotel had a convenient location, plenty of amenities, and suited my small family of 4. It was about a 5-minute drive from BB Village. It was close to a Walgreen’s and a very good steak and seafood restaurant, and we were in a homey hotel that looked from a bygone era. It was relatively quiet, although walls were thin. The room was clean and comfortable, bed softer than I usually like, but still comfy. Breakfast was good each day, allowing both hot and cold selections. The kids liked the game room in the lower level, and it seemed that the jacuzzi was on and people were enjoying it in the cool air. Loved the fireplace in the room, as well, which added to the general cozy feel of this place. It also seemed like the hotel was undergoing some repairs throughout.

There was no made-to-order breakfast. Only a buffet with sub-par food and it is so busy you have to wait 45 minutes for them to refill the food and with everyone touching it, it does not look so appetizing anymore.

This is a steal! We had a wonderful stay in a great, quiet location and paid less than at other hotels nearby. There is a great old, and supposedly haunted, restaurant down the block you can just walk to. Highly recommend.

My wife and I frequent Big Bear about once every 2 weeks , this place was by far the nicest we’ve stayed at , starting from the second we checked in the guy at the desk was above average polite and professional to the room , pool , and jacuzzi and finally the continental breakfast. Absolutely a 10 🔥💯

Loved this hotel. Loved the free parking and free breakfast. Also i liked that the pool closed late. Only critic is if you stay on the second floor and need a luggage cart you will have to transfer your luggage down 8 steps because of the second floor design, so it really was no need to put your luggage and bags on the cart because it cant be pushed to your room if your on the second floor. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was great. The room was clean and large enough for the two of us
I would have liked the bar and restaurant to be open but they’re only open on weekends
The bed was a little too soft but generally it was a great spot for a midweek getaway

The hotel is stunning, and Jeff at the front desk was incredibly helpful in assisting me with my accommodations. Fantastic breakfast as well!

The staff was very nice & helpful! The breakfast was really good & had a lot of varieties from cold to hot breakfast items. Unfortunately the "balcony view" was not beautiful! There was no view, just the backyard of a rundown building! Our fireplace didn't work either but we did come in July so that's probably not the atmosphere we wanted due to it being warm outside! The water temp in the shower was luke warm. When we let them know they were very apologetic about that & they took note on everything we said!

We arrived early and wanted to have an early check in. The room wasn’t available yet but after 30 minutes Venezia from the front desk called us that the room is ready. We appreciate it so much. Kudos to Venezia for accommodating us right away. We surely will be back in December .

My family and I have been here before and everything was OK. However, this time we left diamond wedding rings behind and as soon as we called to see if they could find them, they claimed they looked everywhere and they were gone. However, they confirmed the cleaners were the only people in the room since we left and they were absolutely in the bathroom. Very upset that you would keep staff that would steal things like that.

Toilet flush was broken as it was refilling the water every 5 min.
Room has noise from nearby maintenance room.
Despite informing we were told that that is only room they have so we had to deal
With it.
Also we were not told explicitly about room services that we need to request every day before 10 am. This was annoying because the bed sheets were not changed.

It's next to the hotel, so it's nice because there's a walking trail.

At night parking area make it feel unsafe to park the car. If have security would be better. Overall, Alex is very nice staff. He is very friendly, informative. He is willing to help and very professional. For him, I would like to give 5 stars. The breakfast is really nice. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the nice. Stayed. The hotel room is very nice and comfy. Nice bed, nice air conditioning. Love overall.
