What an amazing place! I cannot recommend it highly enough. The information and pictures online did not do this place justice. The hotel is immaculate, the area is amazing, and the staff are out of this world helpful.

Villa Maria is a beautiful oasis in Ravello. Our family loved everything about our stay there. The rooms are well appointed, the food and views fantastic. Best of all the employees were truly wonderful. From the Maria-Grazie, Erika, Maria on the reception desk to Pepi and Nando in the restaurant and housekeeping (among many many others) we were extremely well taken care of.
I just can’t say enough nice things about Villa Maria and the staff. And Lola the dog of course.

We had been to Ravello 30 years ago and stayed at Villa Maria. Everything was top class and we enjoyed our return. We had a car which we parked at Hotel Giordano. We went to Villa Cimbrone, Capri, Pompei and Positano.

Great service from all the personnel at the restaurants and the front desk, special thanks to Fabrizio who was very attentive.
The outdoor spaces and restaurants are beautiful and with great views… and great aperols!

We opted for a partial ocean view and booked $706/ night.Upon arrival we were escorted to basement suite with small courtyard. Same level as noisy housekeeping staff. Our room was never cleaned (housekeeping staff indicated they were very busy!!) had to ask for clean towels. Very disappointed.

Villa Maria is not only absolutely stunning, but they really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Everyone was super polite and helpful. Please be advised that this hotel is towards the top of the hill. The porters will assist you with your luggage, but know you'll be walking up a good amount of steps daily as you explore the town. Overall, an incredible experience.

Nice Hotel with a lovely terrace. The food was fair, but worth it for the view. Great to have parking available

Great location and pretty hotel with a great view. The cleaning staff would clean rooms near ours and play music and talk very loudly and it woke us up each morning. Other than that it was great.

Lovely views, walkable to town, great staff, very accommodating to help schedule activities, only wish I had a duvet vs very thin blanket and sheet. Rooms very much set in traditional Italian style.

And the region is a must do in Amalfi.

Small but nice facility. Ravello is amazing and everything else, including accommodations, are secondary. Driving from Rome to Ravello was an adventure and worth recommending.

We had a reservation made before Covid to attend a friend’s wedding that had to be postponed indefinitely. I got in touch with the hotel to ask for a refund and they refused and said I had to go back to Expedia and deal with them to maybe get a voucher. This felt unfair considering it’s up to the property to decide, and showed a huge lack of empathy given the unprecedented circumstances of a pandemic. Really disappointing customer service which makes me not want to give them a second chance.

Wonderful
surprise in Ravello! Hidden gem of a hotel. My only thing to improve upon is that you cannot reach the hotel via car. The transport must stop in Ravello near the tunnel, and they didn’t tell us they provide a porter service to bring your luggage from the square to this idyllic villa. So we lugged our baggage up the windy road to the hotel (wonderful exercising!). On the way back we used the porter! Beautiful spot and the highlight of our vacation.

The room was cold and old. The bathroom really needed to be renewed and the amenities in the room were reduced to minimum. Communal areas are not sufficient and there are very little indoor sitting areas. Overall feeling is the Hôtel is rundown and not worried the money

Beautiful room and views even in a garden view or “no view room”. Expedia is not my favorite, but this place is great so one way or another try to make it happen. Also, you get a bit of a discount at the restaurant, and of the 12 days we spent in 4 different towns/cities in Italy, this may have been our favorite meal. Excellent service and very friendly staff!

Lovely hotel and great staff, its a little old fashioned but in a good sort of way. We stayed in two rooms but the second 19BIS was a nightmare it was so tiny and nowhere near enough space to unpack and get your cases away. Eat on the terrace for the experience but I was very dissapointed with the Lobster ravioli it tasted of literally nothing.

What started a little bumpy needed in a very good and positive stay. The hotel has excellent attentive service and the food and restaurant were outstanding.

This is a relatively older hotel. The bed was hard and the hotel was all in all pretty dated. However, they do a great job maintaining the grounds etc. The view of the Amalfi Coast from the hotel was not great. I’d definitely stay on the Belmont Carouso side of Rivello next time. The restaurant on the front terrace was nice, which is a nice reward since you’ll have to climb about 200 steps to get from the square to the hotel. All in all, I love Rivello but would definitely stay at the Belmont Carouso instead.

The hotel staff were phenomenal, but the room was not perfect. There seemed to be a bit of mold in the bathroom (I assume due to lack of shower moisture ventilation) and the air conditioner did not seem to be working correctly for the first couple days of our stay. Besides that we were very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again!

We were disappointed with this hotel having booked a Superior double room with sea view which was the equivalent price of a non-sea view room at a five star location. The room was very basic, no bath robes or even complementary water for that price. The bath tub was dirty when we arrived and we had to ask for it to be cleaned, the room smelt like it needed airing. Perhaps this was because it was right at the beginning of the season but rooms should be checked for quality control. It was cleaned as requested after we left the room. We asked for iron and was told that they couldn't give us one because it was a fire hazard and that they would iron it but only in return for a fee. I travel a lot but I've never experienced this, when an iron is not given to the room then the ironing is usually done for free. There was a sign saying if you stain the towels then it would be charged - this is also the first time I have seen such a thing. The room was shoddy - for example you could see the wires from behind the hairdryer fixing in the wall in the bathroom, one of the bed side lamps was not working. There is hardly a view of the sea. The cheaper rooms may be good value - I did not see them - but I wouldn't recommend the more expensive rooms. They were definitely not worth what we spent.

Villa Maria is a gorgeous, clean hotel with lovely amenities. Daily cleaning service of the rooms was top notch, the terrace & restaurant had lovely food, all of the staff were accommodating & incredibly friendly, and their recommendations for restaurants & activities were great. It’s a fairly small town, but perfect for day trips to Amalfi, Positano, etc. We stayed over Easter, which fell in late March this year, so the hotel was fairly quiet and we had lots of common spaces to ourselves. The cooking class with Vincenzo was a great experience, but maybe a touch expensive at €180/pp. If you arrive by car, be warned that the town of Ravello has very narrow streets to navigate to the parking lot, but we made it without a problem and alternatively the parking attendants can surely find you & help. Overall wonderful stay & we would definitely return!

The staff were excellent, I think we would have had a better time if the weather had been better- we didn’t get to bask in the beautiful Garden restaurant as it rained for us. But they did everything to make us comfortable

We had a great stay at Villa Maria Hotel.
The hotel is a bit hard to find and you can’t drive to it but they have a parking spot where they would come pick you up from it upon request.
The staff is very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the season so we didn’t experience the food.

Stay could not have been better. I was particularly impressed with the view from the room, how quiet the room was, the comfort of the bed, and outstanding water pressure and shower head.

Villa Maria is exquisite - we loved our room overlooking the sea. Spacious, charming, clean -- just perfect for our anniversary trip to Italy. The staff is a delight and provided great assistance. Breakfast was delicious every morning. We can't say enough great things about Villa Maria. Looking forward to returning!
